- x-ray sources in high intensity targe systems can be inexpensive and compact enough to allow for multiple simultaneous beams from different angles. Delivering multiple simultaneous beams facilitates combination of the benefits from IMRT or arc therapy with the FLASH effect.

Abstract
L'invention concerne des systèmes et des procédés qui facilitent la production et la distribution efficace et notable de rayonnements. Dans un mode de réalisation, un composant de génération de rayonnement comprend une cible d'intensité élevée (3020) qui produit un rayonnement Bremsstrahlung en réponse à des impacts par des particules chargées (3091), la cible d'intensité élevée étant conçue avec des limitations de fonctionnement reposant principalement sur des mécanismes de défaillance catastrophiques plutôt que des mécanismes de défaillance de fatigue. La cible d'intensité élevée est conçue pour être compatible avec un système de chargement (3030) d'un système de génération de rayonnement. La cible d'intensité élevée peut avoir un pourcentage de contrainte de défaillance catastrophique dans la plage comprise entre 0,5 et 4,0 %.
