Title: Assembly for packaging and preparing a cosmetic product

Technical field

The present invention relates to an assembly for packaging and preparing a cosmetic product by mixing at least two compositions, and more specifically a product used for the bleaching and/or dyeing of the hair.

Prior art

Certain cosmetic products, such as those used for hair dyeing, require preparation at the time of use by mixing several compositions, the compositions having to be packaged separately beforehand.

Thus, an oxidation hair dye is conventionally prepared by mixing two compositions, namely an oxidizing agent and a dye, generally immediately before the application to the hair, the mixing preferably being carried out manually until a satisfactory homogeneity of the product is obtained.

Hair dyeing assemblies or “kits” are known, comprising several compositions packaged separately within a cardboard box. Such a package is not used for the preparation of the product as is.

A reusable container, of bowl type, is generally used to carry out the mixing. The disadvantage of such a practice is that the container is not necessarily well suited to the preparation of the product, in particular in terms of ease of use or of resistance to the various compositions, and that it subsequently has to be carefully washed.

It is furthermore known, in order to prepare a product by mixing compositions, to use a package for said compositions to carry out the preparation.

Application EP 0 839736 A1 thus describes a packaging comprising a bottom and a lid, the lid being able be used as receptacle for preparing a mixture of two compositions for hair dyeing, one of the compositions being stored in a capsule housed in a thermoformed bottom and the other in the lid before use. The bottom and the lid are made of plastic in order to lastingly withstand the compositions. The low height of the lid makes the mixing problematic to carry out due to a risk of overflow.

Application FR 2 721 286 describes a pot acting as two-receptacle packaging, this pot comprising a body and a lid suitable for hermetically closing the body. One of the receptacles comprises a ball which is used to homogenize the mixture after pouring of the compositions into the pot and hermetic closing of the latter. Withdrawal is carried out using a brush.

Application KR102160891 discloses a kit for a facial mask comprising a receptacle of “ice cream tub” type containing two compositions enclosed in bags, it being possible for the mask to be prepared by directly mixing the contents of the bags with water in the receptacle. The compositions produce, when mixed, an effervescence which makes possible a spontaneous and rapid incorporation of the ingredients. The form of the receptacle is not specifically designed to facilitate manual mixing and/or to be able to efficiently capture the preparation with the hand at the bottom of the receptacle for the purpose of its application.

Application FR 2 506 268 describes a bucket of square section used as package for compositions for the tanning of animal hides contained in bottles and/or bags and intended be mixed at the time of use, using a spatula. A wedging material is positioned in the bucket in order to keep the bottles or bags in place. Such a device is greatly oversized for the amounts normally used by a person for dyeing his or her hair.

Disclosure of the invention

There exists a need for further improving the devices for the packaging and preparation of a product in order to have available a compact assembly, the dimensions of which are determined so as to facilitate the mixing of the compositions constituting the product, and its application, in particular when the latter is carried out with the hand. There also remains an advantage for benefiting from a device which limits the use of plastics. Summary of the invention

The invention is targeted at meeting this objective and has as subject-matter, according to one of its aspects, an assembly for packaging and preparing a cosmetic product, in particular a hair dye, occupying a volume V, comprising:

- at least two receptacles each including at least one composition, the compositions being intended to be mixed during the preparation of the product, to produce the volume V of product,

- a containing-mixing pot made at least partially of cardboard and which can completely contain said receptacles, the pot exhibiting a base with an area of less than S, the V/S ratio of the volume V of product to the area S of the base being between 8 and 30 mm.

The pot preferably has an internal height not exceeding 125 mm, better still not exceeding 110 mm. The internal height can in particular be between 50 and 110 mm.

The invention offers a satisfactory compromise between different contradictory requirements, namely dimensions making it possible, on the one hand, to limit the risk of overflowing and guaranteeing, on the other hand, a sufficient level of product in the pot to facilitate its homogenization and access with the hand to the bottom of the pot for the withdrawal of the product.

Moreover, such a pot exhibits an internal volume making it possible to house all the constituents of the assembly with a satisfactory degree of filling of the pot, which prevents having to provide specific wedging means.

The use of cardboard makes it possible to reduce the amount of plastic, and the pot can be a single-use pot, which prevents having to carry out thorough water-consuming cleaning.

Pot

The pot is preferably of circular section, with an internal diameter preferably of between 80 and 105 mm, better still between 90 and 95 mm. The term “internal diameter” should be understood as meaning, when the section is non-circular, the equivalent diameter of an imaginary circular section of the same area.

The volume V occupied by the product is preferably of between 70 and 150 ml, more preferentially between 95 and 125 ml. Each composition can be present in the pot in a volume ranging from 40 to 75 ml.

The compositions to be mixed comprise, for example, an oxidation dye and a dyeing oxidizing agent.

The mixing can be carried out without addition of water, the product preferably resulting from the mixing of the compositions alone, without addition of an additional compound not initially present in the pot, in particular without addition of water.

The assembly can comprise a lid arranged in order to be fixed to the pot.

The lid can also be made of cardboard. The fixing of the lid to the pot does not have to be hermetic. The material of the pot can be of any cardboard suitable for containing the mixture for the period of time necessary for the application. The pot can thus be made of a cardboard resistant to the mixture of the compositions for at least 30 minutes, better still at least 2 hours. The term “cardboard” denotes a material mainly composed of fibers of plant origin, in particular wood fibers. The cardboard can comprise, on its internal face, a coating and/or a surface film intended to reduce its porosity and to improve its behavior with respect to the product. The cardboard can comprise, on its external face, at least one coating intended to improve its surface appearance and/or its printability. The term “resistant” should be understood as meaning that the mixture remains usable without making it more difficult to handle the pot or causing the mixture to lose its desired properties.

The V/S ratio can be between 13 and 20 mm, preferably between 15.0 and 18.5 mm. The V/S ratio corresponds substantially to the height of the mixture when the draft angle is low.

The pot can exhibit a draft angle a of between 0° and 10°, limits included, preferably of between 1° and 5° (limits included), in particular between 3° and 4°.

Constituents of the assembly

The pot contains the compositions to be mixed in order to obtain the product.

A dye and an oxidizing agent, in order to produce a dyeing oxidizing agent, may be concerned.

The pot can also contain one at least of: a spatula for stirring the mixture, gloves, instructions for use, for example folded in serial form, one or more compositions to be applied after carrying out the dyeing, for example a care composition, a developer, a fixer or a shampoo.

The spatula can be made of wood, of compressed palm or banana leaf, or also made of folded cardboard of the same nature as the pot, if the latter is made of cardboard.

The instructions for use are, for example, of round, square or rectangular shape.

The compositions to be mixed can be packaged in a bag, in a tube or in a bottle.

The bag can be a flat bag or a stand-up bag, referred to as “Doypak” (registered trademark).

The bag may or may not comprise a dispensing nozzle provided with a screw cap. The flat bag can be folded when it is contained in the pot, preferably folded substantially at mid-length.

Different arrangements of the constituents of the assembly within the pot are possible.

The compositions to be mixed can be contained in bags, preferably stand-up bags, the bags being positioned against diametrically opposite zones of the internal surface of the pot, a bag comprising a care composition being interposed between the bags of the dyeing compositions.

In an alternative form, the compositions to be mixed are contained in bags which are folded into a V substantially at mid-length and fitted into one another when they are contained in the pot.

In another alternative form, a composition is contained in a bag, preferably a flat bag, the bag being shaped into a U so as to receive, between the branches of the U and against the inside of the fold, a bottle containing another composition.

A further subject-matter of the invention is a method for using the assembly for packaging and preparing a hair cosmetic product as defined above, the method comprising the stages consisting in: extracting the constituents packaged inside the pot, pouring the compositions into the pot and mixing them, withdrawing the product obtained by the mixing, preferably with the fingers, and applying it to human keratin substances, in particular head hair.

A better understanding of the invention can be obtained on reading the detailed description which will follow of non-limiting implementational examples of the invention and on examining the appended drawing, in which:

An assembly 1 in accordance with the invention has been represented in Figure 1, which assembly comprises a pot 10 used for packaging having several constituents, which are represented diagrammatically, namely: a first composition 2, for example an oxidation dye, preferably packaged in a bag, in a tube or in a bottle, a second composition 3 to be mixed with the first, for example a dyeing oxidizing agent, preferably packaged in a bag, in a tube or in a bottle, a pair of gloves 4, instructions for use 5, a mixing spatula 6, an optional care composition 7, for example packaged in a bag, in a tube or in a bottle.

The compositions 2 and 3 form, after having been poured into the pot 10, a total volume V of hair product.

This volume V occupies a height A in the pot 10, as illustrated in Figure 2. During the mixing of the compositions 2 and 3 by stirring using a spatula, a small volume v of mixture typically wets a height B of the wall of the pot above the level of the mixture at rest.

The remaining height C is such that the internal height H = A+B+C is between 50 and 110 mm.

For example, B is between 10 mm and 50 mm and C is between 32 and 60 mm. The internal diameter D of the base of the pot 10 is, for example, between 80 and 105 mm, i.e. an internal area S of the base approximately of between 50 and 87 cm².

The pot 10 exhibits a body 13 of tapered general shape, with a draft angle a of between 2° and 4°. For example, A is substantially equal to V/S (for a low draft angle a) and of between 8 and 30 mm, i.e. a volume V of between 70 and 150 mm³.

The pot 10 is made of a cardboard material, with for example in the upper part, as illustrated in Figure 3, a rolled edge 11 making it possible to increase its stiffness.

The pot 10 can comprise an added bottom 12, also made of cardboard material, exhibiting a cross section as an inverted U, adhesively bonded by its periphery to the body 13. The diameter D is that measured inside the pot at its base, that it is say at the wall of the added bottom. The interior height H of the pot corresponds to the distance between the bottom 12 and the plane resting on the upper edge of the pot 10.

The draft shape of the pot 10 makes it possible to stack up the pots, as illustrated in Figure 4.

The assembly comprises a lid 20 for closing the pot 10, also made of cardboard material.

Each composition 2 or 3 can be packaged in a bag 30, which can be a flat bag, as illustrated in Figure 5A. In such a bag, opening is carried out, for example, by cutting the bag.

Such a bag has, for example, dimensions of 90 mm x 160 mm.

The packaging can also be carried out in a bag 40 provided with a threaded nozzle 41, as illustrated in Figure 5B, onto which is screwed a cap 42. Such a bag has, for example, dimensions of 70 mm x 80 mm.

The packaging can also be carried out in a stand-up bag 50 of “Doypack” type (registered trademark), as illustrated in Figure 5C, for example with dimensions of 90 mm x 100 mm, or in a bottle 60, as illustrated in Figure 5D.

The packaging can also be carried out in a tube 70, as illustrated in Figure 5E.

A description will now be given, with reference to Figures 6A to 6C, of various possibilities, among others, of arrangements of the constituents of the assembly within the pot 10.

In the example of Figure 6A, the compositions 2 and 3 are contained in bags 71 and 72, for example stand-up bags, which are positioned against diametrically opposite zones of the internal surface of the pot 10, and a bag 73, for example a bag having a nozzle provided with a screw cap, containing a care composition, is interposed between the bags 71 and 72, thus ensuring that they are wedged.

In the example of Figure 6B, the compositions 2 and 3 are contained in bags 81 and 82 which are folded into a V substantially at mid-length and fitted into one another, a bag 83, for example comprising a nozzle provided with a screw cap, for example containing a care composition, being positioned between the hollow of the bag 82 and the wall of the pot, in order to immobilize the bags in the pot. The back of the bag 81 rests against the wall of the pot 10, opposite the bag 83. In the examples of Figures 6 A and 6B, a pair of gloves 4 and instructions 5 (not represented) can be added on the top.

In the example of Figure 6C, the composition 2 is contained in a bag 91, for example a flat bag, which is, for example, shaped into a U for receiving, between the branches of the U and against the inside of the fold, a bottle 92 containing, for example, the composition 3, for example a bottle of cylindrical general shape. A care composition is, for example, contained in a bottle 93, positioned between the branches of the U opposite the bottle 92.

Of course, the invention is not limited to these examples of arrangements, and it is possible to position yet otherwise in the pot the various receptacles containing the compositions to be mixed and other constituents of the assembly.

In order to use the assembly, the user removes the lid 3 and extracts the constituents packaged inside the pot 10.

They can open the receptacles containing the compositions 2 and 3 in order to carry out a strand test, and/or a test for allergic non-reaction in a conventional way.

Subsequently, they pour the compositions 2 and 3 into the pot and proceed to mix them, optionally while making use of a spatula provided.

Once a homogeneous mixture is obtained, the user can withdraw the composition, for example with the fingers, if its consistency makes it possible, and apply it to head hair.

The dimensions of the pot 10 make it possible to carry out the mixing in complete safety with regard to the risk of possible overflowing as a result of the available height B+C, to have available a sufficient mixing height A to succeed in efficiently stirring the compositions, and to readily access the bottom of the pot with the hand in order to withdraw the product until it has been completely removed.

It is possible to introduce numerous modifications to the invention without departing from its scope. For example, it is possible to modify the shape of the pot, in particular the way of carrying out the reinforcing in the upper part, or the way of positioning the constituents of the assembly inside the pot.

It is also possible to use a pot, the base of which is not circular, in particular a pot with a substantially rectangular base, as illustrated in Figure 7 A, or comprising rounded edges, as illustrated in Figure 7B.

The rectangular base has, for example, dimensions of 90 mm x 70 mm, which is substantially equivalent to a circular base with a diameter of 90 mm.

Claims

1. Assembly (1) for packaging and preparing a cosmetic product, in particular a hair dye, occupying a volume V, which assembly comprises:

- at least two receptacles (30; 40; 50; 60) each including at least one composition (2, 3), the compositions being intended to be mixed during the preparation of the product, to produce the volume V of product,

- a containing-mixing pot (10) made at least partially of cardboard which can completely contain said receptacles, the pot exhibiting a base with an area of less than S, the V/S ratio of the volume V of product to the area S of the base being between 8 and 30 mm.

2. Assembly according to Claim 1, the pot having an internal height (H) not exceeding 125 mm, preferably not exceeding 110 mm, preferably of between 50 and 110 mm.

3. Assembly according to Claim 1, the pot (10) being of circular section, with an internal diameter (D) preferably of between 80 and 105 mm, better still between 90 and 95 mm.

4. Assembly according to any one of the preceding claims, the volume V occupied by the product being between 70 and 150 ml, preferably between 95 and 125 ml.

5. Assembly according to any one of the preceding claims, the V/S ratio being between 13 and 20 mm, preferably between 15.0 and 18.5 mm.

6. Assembly according to any one of the preceding claims, the pot (10) exhibiting a draft angle (a) of between 0° and 10°, limits included, preferably of between 1° and 5°, in particular between 3° and 4°.

7. Assembly according to any one of the preceding claims, the pot (10) being made of a cardboard resistant to the mixture of the compositions for at least 2 h, in particular a cardboard comprising, on its internal face, a coating and/or a surface film intended to reduce its porosity and to improve its behavior with respect to the product.

8. Assembly according to any one of the preceding claims, additionally comprising a lid (20) arranged in order to be fixed to the pot, preferably a lid made of cardboard.

9. Assembly according to any one of the preceding claims, the pot additionally containing one at least of: a spatula (6) for stirring the mixture, gloves (4), instructions for use (5), in particular folded in serial form, one or more compositions (7) to be applied after carrying out the dyeing, in particular a care composition, a developer, a fixer or a shampoo.

10. Assembly according to any one of the preceding claims, the compositions (2, 3) to be mixed comprising an oxidation dye and a dyeing oxidizing agent.

11. Assembly according to any one of the preceding claims, the compositions (2, 3) to be mixed being packaged in a bag (30; 40; 50), in a tube (70) or in a bottle (60).

12. Assembly according to the preceding claim, the bag being a flat bag (30; 40) or a stand-up bag (50).

13. Assembly according to Claim 11, the bag being folded when it is contained in the pot, preferably folded substantially at mid-length.

14. Assembly according to any one of the preceding claims, the compositions (2, 3) to be mixed being contained in bags (71, 72), preferably stand-up bags, the bags being positioned against diametrically opposite zones of the internal surface of the pot (10), a bag (73) comprising a care composition being interposed between the bags of the compositions.

15. Assembly according to any one of the preceding claims, the compositions (2, 3) to be mixed being contained in bags (82, 83) which are folded into a V substantially at mid-length and fitted into one another when they are contained in the pot.

16. Assembly according to any one of the preceding claims, a composition being contained in a bag (91), preferably a flat bag, the bag being shaped into a U so as to receive, between the branches of the U and against the inside of the fold, a bottle (92) containing another composition.

17. Method for using the assembly for packaging and preparing a cosmetic product as defined in any one of Claims 1 to 16, which method comprises the stages consisting in: extracting the constituents (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7) packaged inside the pot (10), pouring the compositions (2, 3) into the pot (10) and mixing them, withdrawing the product obtained by the mixing, preferably with the fingers, and applying it to human keratin substances, in particular head hair.
