Abstract

The aim of the technical solution according to this application is to protect wood or paper-based facade beams from moisture at the point of contact with the aluminium profile by using acetylated wood or other resistant material.

Description

    Field of technology
  • The technical solution concerns the structural arrangement of hybrid moulded and structural prefabricated block (element) glazed or partially glazed facades for building purposes.
  • Prior state of the art
  • At present, prefabricated glazed building block facades use an aluminium profile with an interrupted thermal bridge as the structural load-bearing part, which also includes grooves for seals, glass carriers, etc. The disadvantages of this solution are the high heat transfer coefficient (U) and the environmental impact of aluminium extraction and processing.
  • Disclosure of the technical solution
  • The aim of the technical solution according to this application is to protect wood or paper-based facade beams from moisture at the point of contact with the aluminium profile by using acetylated wood or other resistant material.
  • Brief description of drawing
  • The technical solution will be explained in more detail by means of a drawing showing a section through the profile in Figure 1.
  • Modes for carrying out the technical solution
  • A hybrid two-component facade profile consisting of a part 5 made of conventional wood, e.g. spruce or larch, and a protective lamella 1 made of acetylated or otherwise modified wood, which are joined together by an non-disassemblable joint 4 in an exemplary embodiment by gluing, where the protective lamella 3 is bonded to the aluminium profile 1 at the point of junction 2. The reason for this arrangement is that, at the point of junction 2 of the lamella 3 with the aluminium profile 1, where condensation is likely to occur, the wood is thus protected against degradation due to moisture.
  • Industrial applicability
  • This technical solution is mainly useful in the construction industry for the production of glazed facades.

Claims (3)

  1. Hybrid multi-component facade profile, characterised in that it comprises a wooden part (5) and a protective lamella (3) made of waterproof material, which are joined together by a joint (4), the protective lamella (3) being joined to the aluminium facade profile (1) at the point of junction (2).
  2. The hybrid multi-component facade profile according to claim 1, characterized in that the joint (4) is disassemblable or non-disassemblable.
  3. The hybrid multi-component facade profile according to claim 1, characterized in that the lamella (3) is made of modified wood, in particular acetylated wood.
