Abstract
Description
- The object of the present invention is to provide an improved cleaning mop, which incorporates notable innovations and advantages over the techniques used up to now.
- More specifically, the invention proposes the development of a mop for improved cleaning, which, due to its particular arrangement, makes it possible to substantially improve the cleaning features known in the state of the art.
- Cleaning mops are known in the current state of the art, their main function being the absorption of liquid material (water and liquid cleaning substances) that are poured onto a floor surface to carry out cleaning operations on it.
- Additionally, mops are also sometimes used to carry out operations to remove liquid products that have been accidentally spilled onto a surface, that is, the main operating feature of this cleaning element must be absorption.
- However, the mops known in the prior art are able of improving their cleaning performance, also with regard to their absorption capacities in places that are difficult to access.
- The present invention contributes to solving and resolving the present problem, since it allows a very substantial improvement in the cleaning performance known in the state of the art.
- The present invention has been developed with the purpose of providing an improved cleaning mop, comprising a plurality of strips of textile material, in which the strips of textile material have a unitary width between 1 cm and 2 cm.
- Particularly, in the improved cleaning mop, the strips have a unitary width between 1.2 cm and 1.6 cm.
- Preferably, in the improved cleaning mop, the strips have a unitary width of 1.5 cm.
- Additionally, the improved cleaning mop comprises between 80 and 120 strips of textile material.
- Additionally, in the improved cleaning mop, the strips have a combined composition between polyester and polyamide in variable percentages.
- Additionally, in the improved cleaning mop, the strips have a composition ranging from 50% polyester and 50% polyamide, up to 80% polyester and 20% of polyamide.
- Preferably, in the cleaning mop, the strips have a composition of 75% polyester and 25% polyamide.
- Alternatively, the improved cleaning mop comprises strips of 100% polyester composition and also strips of variable composition of polyester and polyamide.
- Preferably, the improved cleaning mop comprises 50% of strips of 100% polyester composition, and another 50% of strips with a variable composition of polyester and polyamide.
- Alternatively, according to the improved cleaning mop, the strips of variable composition of polyester and polyamide have a composition comprised in a range from 50% polyester and 50% polyamide, up to 80% % polyester and 20% polyamide.
- Preferably, according to the improved cleaning mop, the strips of variable composition of polyester and polyamide have a composition of 75% polyester and 25% polyamide.
- Due to the present invention, it is possible to substantially improve the cleaning performance known in the state of the art
- Other features and advantages of the improved cleaning mop object of the present invention will be evident in light of the description of a preferred, but not exclusive, embodiment which is illustrated by way of a non-limiting example in the drawings which are attached, wherein:
-
Figures 1 and2 are schematic and comparative views with the state of the art, of a preferred embodiment of the improved mop for cleaning of the present invention. - The improved cleaning mop of the present invention falls within the field of tools for household and industrial cleaning of all types of surfaces, and more specifically for the field of manually operated devices for cleaning of floor surfaces.
- As shown in
Figure 1 , the improved cleaning mop, represented by general numeral reference 1, comprises a plurality ofstrips 2 of textile material with a combined composition between polyester and polyamide in variable percentages, and suitably woven. - Said
strips 2 have a unitary width between 1.2 cm and 1.6 cm. - In other preferred embodiments, the unitary width of the
strips 2 can be limited between 1.2 cm and 1.6 cm, or be 1.5 cm. - As can also be seen comparatively in
figures 1 and2 , in the prior art it is foreseen that the unitary width of each strip is about 4 cm and therefore greater than thestrips 2 of the proposed invention, therefore that this difference and smaller width of thestrips 2 in the proposed invention provides a substantial improvement in the improved cleaning mop of the present invention. - In the prior art, a mop made of strips of textile material usually incorporates a number of strips between 35 and 50, more preferably between 40 and 50.
- The improved cleaning mop of the present invention comprises between 80 and 120
strips 2 of the abovementioned unit width. - Besides above mentioned, according to the improved cleaning mop of the invention, the
strips 2 have a composition comprised in a range from 50% polyester and 50% polyamide, up to 80% % polyester and 20% polyamide. - According to above disclosure, in this preferred embodiment, the
strips 2 have a unitary width of 1.5 cm and a composition of 75% polyester and 25% polyamide. - According to additional preferred embodying modes, the improved cleaning mop of the invention can be provided with
strips 2 of 100% polyester composition andstrips 2 od variable composition of polyester and polyamide, having a number ofstrips 2 and widths as above mentioned. - According to a preferred mode, 50% of
strips 2 will be arranged with a 100% polyester composition, and the other 50% ofstrips 2, with a variable and mixed composition between polyester and polyamide, and with a number ofstrips 2 and widths described above. - These
strips 2 with a variable composition of polyester and polyamide can also have a composition comprised in a range from 50% polyester and 50% polyamide, up to 80% polyester and 20% polyamide, or also a composition of 75% polyester and 25% polyamide. - It should be noted that polyester has very relevant absorption performance, so its incorporation as the majority component in
strips 2 is relevant so that the improved cleaning mop of the invention has excellent performance in this aspect, although the mixed composition between polyester and polyamide, it also provides this absorption performance but with a greater drag capacity and improving friction qualities with different floor materials. This complements the polyester composition in a very efficient way, without decreasing the specific absorption requirements that this type of product must always provide. - All of this together with the described unitary width of each of the
strips 2 of the improved mop for cleaning of the invention, mean that the improved cleaning mop of the invention substantially overcome the solutions known in the art prior. - Therefore, without diminishing the absorption properties that the mop 1 has, the proposed invention provides additional and improved characteristics and benefits in its cleaning and absorption performance in difficult-to-access points, such as corners, rear parts of the facilities of bathroom and kitchen, interior surfaces in small rooms, among others.
- The details, shapes, dimensions and other accessory elements, as well as the materials used to manufacture the improved cleaning mop of the invention, may be suitably substituted for others which are technically equivalent, and do not diverge from the essential nature of the invention, nor the scope defined by the claims included below.
