Abstract

The invention relates to an improved production method for making aseptic packages (milk and juice boxes etc.) antimicrobial.

Description

PRODUCTION METHOD FOR MAKING ASEPTIC PACKAGES ANTIMICROBIAL
Technical Field
The invention relates to an improved production method for making aseptic packages (milk and juice boxes etc.) antimicrobial.
Prior Art
Aseptic packages are used to isolate food products such as milk and fruit juice from outdoor conditions and keep them for a long time. Aseptic packages are produced using plastic-based monomers such as different ratios of low density polyethylene (LDPE), linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE), LDPE TIE monomer and different additives. Extuders are used in the production phase, and the raw materials fed from the extruder heads (units) under appropriate temperature and pressure values are brought to the desired thickness by passing between the cylinders and the layers that make up the package take their final form.
Currently, aseptic packages are used for long-term preservation of food products such as milk, milk juice, not affected by outdoor conditions. However, aseptic packages currently do not have antimicrobial properties. Therefore, harmful creatures such as viruses, bacteria, fungi that are on the package material or that are transmitted later can infect people who come into contact with the package through the package material. Therefore, this situation may pose a risk for human health. Similarly, someone who comes into contact with the packaging can infect the virus or bacteria on the packaging material. The survival of living things such as viruses and bacteria on the packaging material for a long time also brings important risks in terms of human health. ln the patent research, no patent application similarto the production method subject to the invention was found. However, some patents made in the similar technical field are referred below.
The patent with the application number 2020/15029 registered in the registry of the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office, relates to a strip production method that is suitable for aseptic packaging technique, which extends the shelf life of the products developed for use in the aseptic packaging of the products in the food sector, wherein said products can be especially milk and various dairy products, fruit juices and pulps, sauces, soups, baby food, tomato paste, pudding, tea, soy products, various drinks and similar products.
European Patent Application with publication number EP2461704B1 relates to aseptically packaged nutritive liquids containing hmb. The related invention relates to aseptically packaged nutritional fluids containing beta-hydroxy-beta-methylbutyrate (HMB). The packaged composition contains nutrient fluid hermetically sealed therein with a peroxide-treated aseptic package, which nutrient fluid also contains beta- hydroxy-beta-methylbutyrate and at least one of the following: oil, carbohydrate and protein.
As a result, the existence of the problems of aseptic packages and the insufficiency of existing solutions made it necessary to make an improvement in the related technical field.
The Object of the Invention
Based on the state of the art, the main object of the invention is to develop a production method for making aseptic packages (milk and fruit juice boxes etc.) antimicrobial.
Another object of the invention is to prevent the contamination of harmful creatures such as viruses, bacteria, fungi on the aseptic packaging material or those who come into contact with the packaging material through the packaging material and to render the aseptic packaging material antimicrobial in a way that disease-causing organisms such as bacteria, viruses and fungi cannot live.

Detailed Description of the Invention
The invention relates to an improved production method for making aseptic packages (milk and juice boxes etc.) antimicrobial.
In Figure 1, a representative schematic view of the production method subject to the invention is given. The production method subject to the invention, is realized by a total of three different stations; first station (1), second station (2) and third station (3).
At the first station (1), %25 low density polyethylene (LDPE) monomer and %4-5 LDPE binding monomer are applied on the package material (4) moving on and between the cylinders by means of a first unit (1.1).
In the second station (2), %4-5 LDPE Binding monomer through the third unit (2.1), %17 low density polyethylene (LDPE) monomer + linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) monomer through the fourth unit (2.2) and %17 linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) monomer through the fifth unit (2.3), are applied on the package material (4).
Finally, at the third station (3), a total of %20 low density polyethylene (LDPE) monomer + antimicrobial masterbatch is added on the package material (4) through the sixth unit (3.1), and the aseptic package material (4) is given antimicrobial properties.
The amount of antimicrobial masterbatch added to the package material (4) is preferably %5. This rate can be decreased or increased depending on the demand and need.
Thanks to the production method of the present invention, the contamination of harmful creatures such as viruses, bacteria, fungi, which are on the aseptic package material (4) or subsequently transmitted, to persons who come into contact with the packaging through the package material (4) are prevented and aseptic package material (4) has been made antimicrobial in a way that disease-causing creatures such as bacteria, viruses and fungi cannot live.
