Description

ELECTRICAL MOBILE FRIDGE FOR VEHICLES WITH FREEZE AND QUICK-ICE
FEATURES Technical Field
Subject of the disclosed invention is provision of a freezing space in mobile fridges, particularly units used in vehicles, utilised to keep solid or liquid materials like foods and drinks in a cold environment.
Previous Art Firstly, it must be said various methods were used through history to keep solid or liquid materials like foods and drinks under the external ambient temperature in a certain enclosure.
At first, caves naturally isolated from the external environment were used as cold storage. Pit opened deep underground were used for smaller cooling spaces. In time, residents of settlements near rivers started to transfer river water through earthen pipes to utilise the river water for creating cooling spaces.
On other hand, food drying methods were utilised to eliminate the need for cooling, but this need has not been eliminated.
While an ancestor of the modern fridges was invented in the 18th century, invention of an electric powered fridge could only happen in the 19th century. Initially posing many problems in transport even for those lucky enough to be able to buy one, today fridges became fully mobile.
However, while mobile, i.e. portable fridges can provide an efficient cooling space in the current state of the art, they fail to provide a rapid freezing/ice-making space. Particularly in the case of vehicular fridges, while these appliances prove useful, they fail to rapidly freeze any material placed therein. Rapid freezing aside, it is not even possible to swiftly make ice inside this type of fridges. Purpose of the Invention
The disclosed invention is related to providing a rapid cooling, freezing and quick ice-making space providing a solution to the problems faced in the current state of the art regarding mobile, i.e. portable fridges utilised in vehicles. According to the disclosed invention, a smaller space created outside the standard cooling space and fed from the same cooling pipelines in vehicle fridges allows rapid cooling, freezing and quick ice-making. Thus, the users can utilise the same amount of space for rapid cooling, freezing and/or quick ice-making.
With this innovation; · A space with rapid cooling, freezing and quick ice-making capability is provided without eliminating the main cooling space;
• No separate space independent from the main body is required;
• No additional compressor is needed for the new space; and
• The need for rapid cooling, freezing and quick ice-making is satisfied.

9. Normal Cooling Space The subject of the disclosed invention is related to a rapid cooling, freezing and quick ice-making space (8) in fridges (1), particularly those used in vehicles.
The rapid cooling, freezing and quick ice-making space (8) created in the fridge (1) is separated from the normal cooling space (9) with an internal wall (10). The rapid cooling, freezing and quick ice-making space (8) is created over the compressor (3). In order to prevent this space from being affected by the heat generated by the compressor (3) this space is separated from the compressor (3) with an isolated wall (4). The said isolated wall (4) is created to ensure the cooling pipes (6) cooling the rapid cooling, freezing and quick ice-making space (8) from being affected by the heat generated by the compressor (3). The compressor (3) provides cooling to the normal cooling space (9) and the rapid cooling, freezing and quick ice-making space (8) through the same cooling pipes (6). However, as shown on Image-2, being positioned in a layout to ensure the said cooling pipes (6) contact the freezing surface (7) made from a material with a high rate of thermal conductance on a smaller surface area, the said rapid cooling, freezing and quick ice-making space (8) is made to have a temperature lower than that of the normal cooling space (9).
On the other hand, the lower temperature set in the rapid cooling, freezing and quick ice-making space (8) is protected from the external ambient temperature with a reinforced wall (5) (e.g. 1.5 times reinforced) as shown on Image-1. The rapid cooling, freezing and quick ice-making space (8) comprises an internal wall (10) on which the cooling pipes (6) are positioned on one side, and a reinforced wall (5) protecting the said space against the external ambient temperature. At the bottom of the rapid cooling, freezing and quick ice-making space (8) a freezing surface (7) with a high rate of thermal conductance is positioned to contact the cooling pipes (6). The cooling pipes (6) providing cooling to the rapid cooling, freezing and quick ice-making space (8) are protected against the heat generated by the compressor (3) by an isolated wall (4). This way, it is ensured the rapid cooling, freezing and quick ice-making space (8) remains at the low set temperature or any otherwise defined set temperature. Materials, particularly liquids placed in the said rapid cooling, freezing and quick ice making space (8) reach frozen state in a very short period of time upon coming into contact with the freezing surface (7). The freezing time varies according to the target material being in liquid or solid state and the nature of the material.
In other words, the desired material is placed in the rapid cooling, freezing and quick ice-making space (8) and the door (2) of the fridge (1) is closed. This way, the material, especially when in contact with the freezing surface (7), rapidly cools down and starts to freeze in a very short period of time.
