Definitions
- the present invention relates to a method for packaging a packaged item, in particular a stack of items formed with a plurality of items.
- the invention also relates to packaging for a packaged item.
- the present invention can be used in connection with a wide variety of goods to be packaged, the present invention and the problems on which it is based are explained in more detail below with reference to the packaging of a stack of goods in the form of a laminated core formed from individual metal sheets stacked on top of one another.
- a stack of metal sheets placed one on top of the other is transported from the manufacturer or retailer to a customer, or if the stack has to be stored beforehand, it is desirable to protect the stacked metal sheets from dirt and, in particular, moisture during transport or storage so that the goods can reached customers in a state of perfect quality.
- the aim is in particular to prevent the sheets from beginning to corrode.
- the laminated core can be enclosed in an airtight packaging sleeve to prevent the inflow of moist air masses from the storage or transport environment.
- the first sheet of packaging material and the second sheet of packaging material are adhesively releasably and in particular reconnectably connected in a respective predetermined first area along a first section of a circumference of the support element.
- an adhesive connection is proposed for the adhesive connection of the first sheet of packaging material and the second sheet of packaging material.
- the object of the present invention is therefore to specify a method which makes it possible to package a packaged item in such a way that the packaged item is protected against the ingress of dirt and moisture on the one hand and the packaging can be easily and fully automatically produced on the other. Furthermore, it is the object of the present invention to provide appropriate packaging for a packaged good.
- This object is achieved by a method for packaging a packaged item having the features of patent claim 1 and by packaging for a packaged item having the features of patent claim 13 .
- the idea of the present invention consists in folding the second sheet of packaging material over the first sheet of packaging material in an overlapping manner along an overlapping section on the side surfaces of the support element, attaching a peripheral pressing angle device laterally to the overlapping section and in some areas to the upper side of the second sheet of packaging material and bracing the pressing Angular device by attaching one or more tensioning straps to generate a contact pressure in the overlapping section.
- the circumferential pressure angle device serves as a comprehensive lateral edge protection, which protects the packaged goods from external forces protects, e.g. from an impact of the forks of a forklift.
- the first sheet of packaging material has an adhesive layer on a region of its side facing the upper side of the support element and is placed on the upper side with detachable adhesive via the adhesive layer. This prevents possible slipping when placing the packaged goods.
- the first sheet of packaging material has an adhesive layer on its entire side facing the upper side of the support element, and the protruding parts of the first sheet of packaging material are folded onto the side surfaces of the support element with detachable adhesive via the adhesive layer. This allows later gluing to the second sheet of packing material.
- the tensioning straps and the pressure angle device are removed, the protruding parts of the first sheet of packaging material are folded over away from the side surfaces of the support element so that they rest against the packaged goods, so that the adhesive layer faces away from the packaged goods, and an adhesive area is formed between the folded-over overhangs of the first sheet of dunnage and the overhangs of the second sheet of dunnage. This makes subsequent gluing easy to implement.
- the contact pressure angle device is designed in one piece. This enables particularly stable packaging.
- the pressure angle device is designed in several parts from a plurality of pressure angle elements, the pressure angle elements being attached in such a way that they form overlapping areas on the upper side of the second sheet of packaging material, and tensioning straps being guided over the overlapping areas and attached . In this way, the contact pressure angle elements can be mutually stabilized.
- the support element has four rectangularly arranged side faces, with the tightening straps being attached circumferentially around the support element and the pressing-on angle elements only on two opposite side faces. In this way, stabilization is possible with little effort.
- the pressure angle device is designed in several parts from a plurality of pressure angle elements, the pressure angle elements being attached in such a way that they form abutment areas on the upper side of the second sheet of packaging material, and tensioning straps being attached over the abutment areas . This also enables robust stabilization.
- the support element has four rectangularly arranged side surfaces, with the tightening straps being attached to two opposite side surfaces in each case, circumferentially around the support element and the contact pressure angle elements. This enables a particularly robust stabilization.
- the contact pressure angle device has one or more projections, which are arranged so as to face the second dunnage sheet in the overlapping portion. In this way, the lateral contact pressure can be increased.
- the pressing angle device is designed at an acute angle, with the acute angle being directed towards the packaged goods.
- the lateral contact pressure can also be increased in this way.
- Fig. 1a )-c) show schematic representations of successive method stages of a method for packaging a packaged good according to a first embodiment of the present invention, namely Fig. 1a ) in exploded view and Fig. 1b ) as well as 1c ) in cross-sectional view.
- a support element 2 is first provided. Both the packaged goods 1 and the support element 2 are essentially rectangular in the first embodiment and are aligned with one another during packaging.
- the support element 2 is used to carry the packaged goods 1 and can in particular include a pallet, for example made of plastic, wood, metal or another suitable material. It has an upper side OS, an underside US and peripheral side surfaces 13a, 13b, 13c, 13d and is rectangular.
- a first sheet of packaging material 3 is then placed on the upper side OS of the support element 2, for example as in FIG figure 1 shown viewed along a vertical direction Z, from above.
- the first sheet of packaging material 3 can be, for example, a sheet of plastic-coated and preferably fiber-reinforced paper or a plastic film of suitable thickness and tear strength.
- the packaged goods 1 are then arranged on the first sheet of packaging material 3 .
- the packaged goods 1 can be placed as a whole stack of goods on the first sheet of packaging material 3 resting on the support element 2, or the goods 1a can be placed individually.
- the packaged goods 1 are placed in such a way that they do not protrude laterally beyond the carrying element 2 .
- a second dunnage sheet 6, which is made of the same material as the first dunnage sheet 3 can be formed, placed on a top 7 of the packaged goods 1.
- parts 8a-8d protrude over the packaged goods 1 and can hang down laterally from the upper side 7 of the packaged goods 1 over the side surfaces 13a, 13b, 13c, 13d of the support element 2.
- the second sheet of packaging material 6 can also be formed, for example, with a plastic-coated and preferably fiber-reinforced paper or with a plastic film.
- the two sheets of packaging material 3 and 6 can be transparent or non-transparent, as desired, or they can also be printed with information or handling instructions or the like.
- the second sheet of packaging material 6 is then folded over the first sheet of packaging material 3 so that it overlaps in some areas.
- This overlapping folding takes place along an overlapping section 11 of a substantially entire circumference of the support element 2, which lies on its side surfaces 13a, 13b, 13c, 13d.
- This loosely overlapping fold connection is non-adhesive and is at most supported by material-specific cohesive forces.
- the overlapping section 11 extends approximately along the vertical 75 to 90 percent of the side surfaces 13a, 13b, 13c, 13d, essentially over the entire circumference of the support element 2. In practice, there is an overlapping area of at least 5 to 10 cm turned out to be advantageous.
- Reference number 14 denotes the outer overlapping section of the second sheet of packaging material 6 and reference number 15 denotes the inner overlapping section of the first sheet of packaging material 3.
- this overlapping connection in the area 14, 15 is not tight, for example against the ingress of moist air, dust and water, but on the other hand it is designed to be easily detachable later for the customer, in particular in such a way that the two sheets of packaging material 3 and 6 along the overlapping section 11 can be easily detached from one another by hand after or during transport or storage in order to open the packaging.
- one person can peel off the two sheets of packaging material 3, 6 adhering to one another in the first region 14 with an effort that can easily be managed manually.
- no knife or the like is necessary to gain access to the packaged goods 1 .
- an additional measure must be taken for transport in order to achieve the required tightness.
- Figure 1c shows a procedural stage which follows the procedural stage Fig. 1a ), b) follows, namely a sealing pressing of the upper side 17 of the first sheet of packaging material 3 in the first region 14 and the lower side of the second sheet of packaging material 6 in the second region 15 along the overlapping section 11 on the side surfaces 13a, 13b, 13c, 1d of the support element 2 .
- a circumferential one-piece pressure angle device 50 is first attached laterally to the side surfaces 13a, 13b, 13c, 13c with the overlapped folded sheets of packaging material 3, 6 and in some areas to the upper side 6a of the second sheet of packaging material 6, which is rectangular in the first embodiment.
- This circumferential pressure angle device 50 is designed in such a way that it covers the overlapping section 11, in which the first sheet of packaging material 3 and the second sheet of packaging material 6 overlap, at least partially in the z-direction.
- the contact pressure of the vertical legs of the Pressure angle device 50 is produced in that one or more clamping straps 60 are attached circumferentially around the support element 2 and the pressure angle device 50 .
- Exemplary materials for the contact pressure angle device 50 are metal, in particular steel or aluminum, and plastic hard cardboard.
- Exemplary materials for the straps 60 are metal, in particular steel, and plastic.
- the packaged goods 1 and the support element 2 are essentially rectangular in plan view, the method according to the invention, however, also being applicable to support elements and packaged goods of other shapes and in particular can also be used for this, a completely irregular to pack shaped packaged goods, for example metal sheets with any outer edge cut to size, on a pallet that is essentially rectangular when viewed from above.
- Figure 2a ), b) show schematic representations of a packaged goods according to a second embodiment of the present invention, namely Figure 2a ) as well as Figure 2b ) in cross-sectional view.
- the first sheet of packaging material 3' has an adhesive layer 33 on its entire side 3'a facing the upper side OS of the support element.
- the protruding parts 5a, 5b, 5c, 5d of the first sheet of packaging material 3' are releasably adhesively bonded to the side surfaces via the adhesive layer 33 13a, 13b, 13c, 13d of the supporting element 2 folded, as in Figure 2a ) shown.
- reclosing takes place by forming an adhesive area 40 between the folded-over protruding parts 5a, 5b, 5c, 5d of the first sheet of packaging material 3' and the protruding parts 8a, 8b, 8c, 8d of the second sheet of packaging material 6.
- the second embodiment is identical to the first embodiment.
- FIG 3 shows a plan view of a packaged item according to a third embodiment of the present invention.
- the contact pressure angle device 50a-50d is designed in several parts from a plurality of contact pressure angle elements 50a-50d.
- the pressing angle elements 50a-50d are applied in such a way that they form 6 overlapping areas Ua-Ud on the top side 6 of the second sheet of packaging material. In the overlapping areas Ua-Ud, the contact pressure angle elements 50a, 50c lie above the contact pressure angle elements 50b, 50d.
- a first and second tightening strap 60a, 60b are routed over the overlapping areas Ua-Ud.
- the tightening straps 60a, 60b are thus only attached to two opposite side surfaces 13a, 13c running around the support element 2 and the contact pressure angle elements 50a-50d.
- the third embodiment is identical to the first embodiment.
- FIG 4 shows a plan view of a packaged item according to a fourth embodiment of the present invention.
- the fourth embodiment differs from the third embodiment in that a third tightening strap 60c is attached to the two opposite side faces 13b, 13d running around the support element 2 and the pressing angle elements 50b, 50d.
- a particularly stable bond can be achieved in this way.

Description
The present invention relates to a method for packaging a packaged item, in particular a stack of items formed with a plurality of items. The invention also relates to packaging for a packaged item.
Although the present invention can be used in connection with a wide variety of goods to be packaged, the present invention and the problems on which it is based are explained in more detail below with reference to the packaging of a stack of goods in the form of a laminated core formed from individual metal sheets stacked on top of one another.
If a stack of metal sheets placed one on top of the other is transported from the manufacturer or retailer to a customer, or if the stack has to be stored beforehand, it is desirable to protect the stacked metal sheets from dirt and, in particular, moisture during transport or storage so that the goods can reached customers in a state of perfect quality. In the case of sheet metal, the aim is in particular to prevent the sheets from beginning to corrode. In the case of galvanized steel sheets or articles, for example, it is desirable to avoid the formation of unsightly white rust on their surface. To prevent the ingress of dirt and moisture, the laminated core can be enclosed in an airtight packaging sleeve to prevent the inflow of moist air masses from the storage or transport environment.

- Bereitstellen eines Tragelements, insbesondere einer Palette, zum Tragen des Packgutes;
- Auflegen eines ersten Packmaterialbogens auf das Tragelement;
- Anordnen des Packgutes auf dem ersten Packmaterialbogen in der Weise, dass ein Abschnitt des ersten Packmaterialbogens zwischen dem Tragelement und dem Packgut zu liegen kommt und dass der erste Packmaterialbogen über das Packgut übersteht;
- Providing a carrying element, in particular a pallet, for carrying the packaged goods;
- placing a first sheet of dunnage on the support member;
- arranging the packaged goods on the first sheet of packaging material in such a way that a portion of the first sheet of packaging material comes to lie between the support element and the packaged goods and that the first sheet of packaging material projects beyond the packaged goods;
- placing a second sheet of packaging material on an upper side of the packaged goods in such a way that the second sheet of packaging material protrudes over the packaged goods; and
- regionally connecting the first sheet of dunnage to the second sheet of dunnage.
When connecting in regions, the first sheet of packaging material and the second sheet of packaging material are adhesively releasably and in particular reconnectably connected in a respective predetermined first area along a first section of a circumference of the support element. In particular, an adhesive connection is proposed for the adhesive connection of the first sheet of packaging material and the second sheet of packaging material.
A disadvantage of the known method has been found that an adhesive bond is very difficult and expensive to produce in a fully automated system.
The object of the present invention is therefore to specify a method which makes it possible to package a packaged item in such a way that the packaged item is protected against the ingress of dirt and moisture on the one hand and the packaging can be easily and fully automatically produced on the other. Furthermore, it is the object of the present invention to provide appropriate packaging for a packaged good.
This object is achieved by a method for packaging a packaged item having the features of
The idea of the present invention consists in folding the second sheet of packaging material over the first sheet of packaging material in an overlapping manner along an overlapping section on the side surfaces of the support element, attaching a peripheral pressing angle device laterally to the overlapping section and in some areas to the upper side of the second sheet of packaging material and bracing the pressing Angular device by attaching one or more tensioning straps to generate a contact pressure in the overlapping section.
It is thus possible to produce packaged goods that are protected on all sides against environmental influences and can easily be produced fully automatically without the packaging material sheets having to be additionally processed. In addition, the circumferential pressure angle device serves as a comprehensive lateral edge protection, which protects the packaged goods from external forces protects, e.g. from an impact of the forks of a forklift.
Advantageous refinements and developments of the invention result from the respective dependent claims.
In a preferred development, the first sheet of packaging material has an adhesive layer on a region of its side facing the upper side of the support element and is placed on the upper side with detachable adhesive via the adhesive layer. This prevents possible slipping when placing the packaged goods.
In a further preferred development, the first sheet of packaging material has an adhesive layer on its entire side facing the upper side of the support element, and the protruding parts of the first sheet of packaging material are folded onto the side surfaces of the support element with detachable adhesive via the adhesive layer. This allows later gluing to the second sheet of packing material.
In a further preferred development, the tensioning straps and the pressure angle device are removed, the protruding parts of the first sheet of packaging material are folded over away from the side surfaces of the support element so that they rest against the packaged goods, so that the adhesive layer faces away from the packaged goods, and an adhesive area is formed between the folded-over overhangs of the first sheet of dunnage and the overhangs of the second sheet of dunnage. This makes subsequent gluing easy to implement.
In a further preferred development, the contact pressure angle device is designed in one piece. This enables particularly stable packaging.
In a further preferred development, the pressure angle device is designed in several parts from a plurality of pressure angle elements, the pressure angle elements being attached in such a way that they form overlapping areas on the upper side of the second sheet of packaging material, and tensioning straps being guided over the overlapping areas and attached . In this way, the contact pressure angle elements can be mutually stabilized.
In a further preferred development, the support element has four rectangularly arranged side faces, with the tightening straps being attached circumferentially around the support element and the pressing-on angle elements only on two opposite side faces. In this way, stabilization is possible with little effort.
In a further preferred development, the pressure angle device is designed in several parts from a plurality of pressure angle elements, the pressure angle elements being attached in such a way that they form abutment areas on the upper side of the second sheet of packaging material, and tensioning straps being attached over the abutment areas . This also enables robust stabilization.
In a further preferred development, the support element has four rectangularly arranged side surfaces, with the tightening straps being attached to two opposite side surfaces in each case, circumferentially around the support element and the contact pressure angle elements. This enables a particularly robust stabilization.
In a further preferred development, the contact pressure angle device has one or more projections, which are arranged so as to face the second dunnage sheet in the overlapping portion. In this way, the lateral contact pressure can be increased.
In a further preferred development, the pressing angle device is designed at an acute angle, with the acute angle being directed towards the packaged goods. The lateral contact pressure can also be increased in this way.
