Description
The present invention relates to a refrigerator and/or freezer with a refrigerant circuit which includes a refrigerant line and in which a condenser and an evaporator located downstream of the condenser are arranged, with at least one expansion unit being arranged upstream of the evaporator, in which the refrigerant flows through is relaxed.
Conventional refrigerant circuits of known refrigerators and freezers include a condenser, an evaporator and an expansion unit in the form of a capillary arranged between the condenser and the evaporator. After flowing through the evaporator, the refrigerant reaches the compressor, where it is compressed and conveyed back to the condenser by the compressor.
Along the capillary, the refrigerant is expanded over a length of several meters from the high to the low pressure of the system and thus from the liquid to the two-phase area of the refrigerant.
This capillary, which extends several meters and extends downstream from the condenser and upstream from the evaporator, thermally exchanges with the suction line of the compressor using an internal heat exchanger. This leads to a better cooling performance of the evaporator.
In addition, it has recently been found that it can be advantageous for the refrigerant circuit if a porous or an electronic expansion element is used instead of a capillary. The special feature here is that the expansion of the refrigerant takes place over a distance of a few millimeters from high to low pressure, so that extensive adjustments to the previous structure of a refrigerator and/or freezer are required.
The present invention is based on the object of further developing a refrigerator or freezer of the type mentioned at the outset such that internal heat transfer is improved despite the use of a porous or electronic expansion element.
This object is achieved by a refrigerator and/or freezer having the features of
The invention therefore claims a refrigerator and/or freezer with a refrigerant circuit, the refrigerant circuit having a refrigerant line for conducting a refrigerant, a compressor for compressing the refrigerant, a condenser for condensing the refrigerant, an internal heat exchanger for heat exchange between a high-pressure side and a suction line of the refrigerant circuit, an expansion unit for expanding the refrigerant, and an evaporator for evaporating the refrigerant. The refrigerator and/or freezer is characterized in that the liquid line running from the condenser to the expansion unit through the internal heat exchanger has an inner diameter which is greater than 0.8 mm, preferably greater than 1.0 mm and preferably greater than 1. is 5mm.
According to an optional modification of the present invention, it is provided that the liquid line running through the internal heat exchanger having an internal diameter throughout that is greater than 0.8 mm, preferably greater than 1.0 mm, and more preferably greater than 1.5 mm.
It can also be provided according to the invention that the liquid line running between the condenser and the expansion unit continuously has an inside diameter that is greater than 0.8 mm, preferably greater than 1.0 mm and preferably greater than 1.5 mm.
Furthermore, it can be provided according to the present invention that the expansion unit is a porous body or an electronic expansion element.
According to a modification of the present invention, it can be provided that the porous body or the electronic expansion element of the expansion unit brings about a fluid expansion and a flow homogenization that reduces background noise at the same time. According to this development, it is not the case that the porous body or the electronic expansion element only serves to homogenize the fluid to reduce noise and does not cause any explicit throttling of the fluid.
According to a further optional development of the present invention, it can be provided that the expansion unit expands the circulating refrigerant over a length of less than 5 cm, preferably less than 3 cm and preferably less than 1 cm from high to low pressure.
In contrast, a capillary known from the prior art has expanded the refrigerant from high to low pressure over a length of several meters.
Furthermore, it can be provided according to the present invention that the internal heat exchanger is designed to transfer heat from the liquid line arranged between the condenser and the expansion element to a To allow suction line of the compressor without causing an avoidable pressure drop of the refrigerant.
It can preferably be provided that, according to the invention, the maximum pressure loss occurring while the refrigerant flows through the liquid line is so great that the refrigerant does not expand into the two-phase region. A corresponding pressure drop should only be achieved after the flow has passed through the expansion unit, so that an effective cooling effect is generated in the evaporator arranged downstream.
According to a further optional modification of the present invention, it can be provided that the expansion unit is arranged downstream of the internal heat exchanger and upstream of the evaporator. If the expansion unit is arranged on the high-pressure side of the refrigerant circuit in the area between the internal heat exchanger and the evaporator, the noise generated during the expansion of the refrigerant is particularly low.
In addition, according to a variant of the present invention, it can be provided that the expansion unit is arranged in the outlet area of the internal heat exchanger, preferably directly at the outlet area of the internal heat exchanger.
As an alternative or in addition to this, it can be provided according to the invention that the expansion unit is arranged in a transition piece of pipe which completes a cross-sectional transition between the internal heat exchanger and an evaporator.
Furthermore, it can be provided according to the invention that the expansion unit is arranged in the inlet area of the evaporator, preferably directly at the inlet of the evaporator.
In accordance with the present invention, the refrigerant cycle may be envisaged to result in the refrigerant being compressed by a compressor, then flowing through a condenser, then being transferred to the liquid line where it passes through the high pressure side of the internal heat exchanger before passing through the Expansion element out and then out after flowing through the evaporator through the low-pressure side of the internal heat exchanger back to the suction side of the compressor.
At this point it is pointed out that the terms "a" and "an" do not necessarily refer to exactly one of the elements, although this represents a possible embodiment, but can also refer to a plurality of elements. Likewise, the use of the plural also includes the presence of the element in question in the singular and conversely the singular also includes several of the elements in question.

The advantages of such an internal heat transfer lie in the improved cooling capacity of the evaporator that can be achieved as a result.
The arrangement of the
The liquid line 8 running from the condenser 4 to the
It is advantageously provided that the minimum diameter of the liquid line 8 specified above is maintained throughout from the condenser 4 to the
Accordingly, it can also be provided that the liquid line in the
In addition, it can be provided that the
The flow pressure loss in the liquid line 8, which cannot be completely prevented as a result of the fluid dynamics, should be as low as possible for primary heat transfer to the suction line and at most so large that the refrigerant does not expand into the two-phase region as it flows through.
For this reason, the liquid line 8 has a flow cross section that is above a conventionally used throttle capillary. The inside diameters are >0.8 mm, preferably greater than 1.0 mm and preferably greater than 1.5 mm.
