The invention relates to a folding box for packing, storing or protecting goods, with an outer shell, the outer shell having at least three, preferably four, side walls, a top and a bottom, with uprights being at least partially arranged at the corner edges of the side walls and with the side walls on the underside and / or on the top have connecting elements for connecting to the uprights.

A folding box can be brought into an essentially flat position in which it can be easily stacked and transported. In such a flat position, the side walls are at least partially one above the other. The object of the invention is therefore to provide a folding box of the type described, which has a high load capacity, but is also easy and quick to assemble menbaubar.

According to the invention, this object is achieved in that the connecting elements are set up to compensate for positional tolerances and / or shape tolerances of the posts.

The uprights can be arranged on an inside of the side walls in the area of the corner edges. They can also be arranged on an outside of the side walls in the area of the corner edges.

The side walls are preferably at least partially made in one piece with one another.

With plug-in or folded connections are meant connections between side walls that are created by sliding parts of the tabs into one another, sliding under, over or against one another, as well as interlacing parts of the tabs with one another. By means of such a connection, a stable receptacle can be formed in a simple manner, which is dimensionally stable even without the provision of adhesives or other additional fastening means such as screws or clamps. Furthermore, it can be provided that in at least one receptacle a first tab of a first side wall has a tongue directed towards a second tab of a second side wall and the second tab has a recess directed towards the first tab, the shape of the recess preferably having the shape of the Tongue corresponds. For easier production, it can be provided that the folding box, preferably except for the upright, is made of one material. It is particularly advantageous if the side walls are made essentially from corrugated cardboard. The corrugated cardboard has at least one flat and at least one corrugated layer, which are connected to one another.

It can also be advantageous if the uprights are essentially made of solid cardboard. Solid cardboard is understood to mean cardboard that is single-ply, multi-ply or multi-ply and solid. The tongues 7 of the first and second connecting sides 4cl, 4c2 are in engagement with the respective recesses 8, whereby the folded shape stabilizes itself. This results in openings along the side walls 1 with a thickness D which is defined by the width of the base parts 4b. In the areas of the corner edges 5, there are thus receptacles 15 which have an L-shape.

Except for the uprights 15, the folding box is made of corrugated cardboard and is made in one piece, the uprights 15 being made of solid cardboard. Alternatively, the folding box can also have an outer shell which is in two pieces. In Fig. 3, an alternative embodiment is shown in which the same stamping pattern from the second embodiment was used. However, before the flaps 4 were folded, the central parts 10 were separated from the parts of the holding part 4a which form the receptacles 15.
