Description

A SUPPORT DEVICE FOR PAN SUPPORT OF A GAS HOB
TECHNICAL FIELD
The present invention relates to grates holding cooking utensils to be attached on burner elements of gas hobs, and particularly to a support device for adapting curved containers on the grate.
PRIOR ART
Grates on gas hobs generally provide a flat resting surface for cooking containers such as pots to be disposed thereon. Cooking utensils such as pots and pans with a flat bottom therefore is able stand in a stable manner on the support wall of the grate. However, for particular cooking techniques, cooking pans so called wok pans with special convex surface on the bottom are preferred. A support device known as wok adapter is adapted to allow such pans to stand stably on the grate. Thus, the risk of overturning caused by the convex structure of the wok pan is prevented.
Flat bottom pans are disposed on the grate of the top plate at the gas hob such that L- shaped support arms of the grate hold from below. The flame crowns formed on the burner contact the support device when the support device is seated on the grate. This causes burning in yellow color at the sections which are intersecting the flame and consequently increase emission values. Additionally, it reduces the combustion efficiency since the support device absorbs the heat.
DE202006018689 discloses a holding device arranged below a pot support and including a base support with a set of bars on which the pot support is arranged in a detachable manner. The bars are formed in L-shape and extend upwardly from the base support. The base support is formed in ring shaped and the bars are arranged on the external side of the base support. Each bar has a guide in which a support bar is arranged.
CN105783050 publication describes a support grate for the gas hob. The gas stove support comprises an anti-skid protection ring and a round-bottom pot support. The curved bottom has four extensions and four cavities on the slip protection ring and the winding structure with concave in the middle and trapezoid are provided. The support element provides non-slip support for both flat bottom and V-bottom cookware.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The object of the invention is to reduce the adverse effect of the support device attached on the pan support to emissions of the hobs with gas burners.
In order to achieve above objective, subject matter invention comprises a support device for a pan support of a gas hob comprising a retaining element adapted to being fit at least one support arm of a holding device elevated at a vicinity of a burner provided at a top plate of a gas hob in a surrounding manner wherein the support arm is extending towards the burner and a support element at least partly surrounding the burner from above such that hold a bulging exterior side of a pan. The support device is further comprising a flat rim extending in contact-free manner to an outer flame crown and an inner flame crown of the burner in a predetermined rim angle across the top plate through an elongation axis between an outer periphery and an inner edge of the support element. The rim angle can be determined by considering the flame crown geometry that is formed according to the type of burner used. For example, for a wok type burner with a horizontal injector, the value is selected as 30°. In a possible embodiment, the support device is a support device for wok burner that provides a concentric inner flame crown and the outer flame crown.
In a preferred embodiment, the rim angle is set between an inner flame angle of the inner flame crown and an outer flame angle of the outer flame crown by the top plate. Therefore, inner flame contact is prevented by a greater angle from the inner flame angle and outer flame contact is prevented by lower outer flame angle by the flat rim.
In a preferred embodiment, the support element comprises a hollow truncated cone form which is completely surrounding the burner from the top and having a uniform cross section. Thus, the thermal stress profile of the flat rim is circumferentially balanced and thermal deformations are prevented. In addition, the proposed truncated form can be produced by cold metal forming methods.
A preferred embodiment, the support device comprises at least one web provided on the support element facing outwardly and extending transversely. Webs form abutments that provide a limited contact area on the flat rim where the curved outer part is seated. In a preferred embodiment, the web comprises a protrusion starting from the flat rim and extending outwardly from the outer periphery. When the pan is disposed on the support element from its curved surface, the protrusion allows it to support sufficiently to stand in a balance on the flat rim. Protrusion from the outer periphery, in a preferred embodiment is radially outwardly and aligned with the rim angle.
In a preferred embodiment, the holding element is aligned with the web underneath the support element. Thus, the weight applied to the strip by the container is transferred directly to the support arm without leading a moment that create imbalance on the support device.
In a preferred embodiment, retaining element is comprises a channel is arranged to be adapted to the support arm. The channel ensures that the support device is easily attached to the grate by aligning it with the support arm and detached by lifting when necessary. In this way, the support device function as an adaptor to be attached to the grate when a pan, e.g. a wok pan, with a convex wall is being disposed over the burner and detached when a flat base pan is being disposed.
In a preferred embodiment, the support element is made of metal. This makes it possible to utilize in high power generating hobs with e.g. wok burner.
A preferred embodiment is a gas hob with a support device as described above.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE FIGURES
Figure 1 is a front view of a representative embodiment of the subject matter support device holding a wok pan provided on the grate of a wok burner of a gas hob.
Figure 2 is an enlarged view of the support device shown in Figure 1.
Figure 3 is a stand-alone perspective view of a representative embodiment of the subject matter support device.
Figure 4 is a top view of the support device as shown in Figure 3. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
In this detailed description, the subject matter has been described with reference for examples, such that there is no restriction and only to better understanding.
In Figure 1 , a representative embodiment of a support device (40) according to the invention a holding device (30) is provided in a top plate (12) of a gas hob (10) is shown from the front in a mounted position as a wok adapter. The holding device (30) has support arms (32) extending towards a wok burner (20) located on the top plate (12) of the gas hob (10). The support arms (32) are in L-like form and extend from an elevated distal end (33) to the radially inwardly to the burner (20). The support device (40) has a conical ring-like structure. The support device (40) supports a pan (50) having a curved outer section (52) on a support element (42) by surrounding close to its base. A plurality of webs (44) are arranged on the support element (42) and extending outwards. The webs (44) are fixed curvedly on the support element (42) facing each other.
In Figure 2, enlarged view of the gas hob (10) equipped with the pan (50) is shown. The burner (20) is feeding a gas-air mixture to both a first outlet (22) providing a round inner flame crown (23) and a second outlet (24) providing an outer flame crown (26) surrounding the inner flame crown (23) surrounding with a distance. The inner flame crown (23) advances over an inner flame angle (a) and bends upwards. The outer flame crown (25) advances over an outer flame angle (b) and bends upwards. The corresponding distal ends (33) of the support arms (32) of the holding device (30) extend radially inwardly from the first outlet (22) on the burner (20). The support device (40) is disposed on the holding device (30) to the support arms (32) by means of a web (44) corresponding to their respective extensions. When the support device (40) is disposed on the holding device (30), the support device (40) surrounds the burner (20) at a distance along a circular inner edge (43). The center of circumference (O) of the inner edge (43) is approximately aligned with the circular center of the burner (20). The plane surrounded by the inner edge (43) of the support device (40) is parallel to the plane of the top plate (12). A flat rim (421) with a rim angle (Y) by the plane framing by the inner edge (43) extends towards an elongation axis (A) on a plane between the inner edge (43) and an outer periphery (41) distant radially outwardly manner. The flat rim (421) is a one-piece metal element in l-section form with a ring shape. To prevent the curved outer section (52) of the pan (50) from directly placing from the upper part of the flat rim (421), webs (44) are secured on the flat rim (421). The webs (44) are flat l-shaped protrusions, secured by equally distributing at the upper part of the rim (421) facing each other. A retaining element (45) is formed under the support element (42), aligned under each holding web (44). The retaining element (45) comprises a channel (452) that is removably seated on each corresponding support arm (3). The channel (452) is located between a first protrusion (453) forming a fork and a second protrusion (453) distanced thereto. A channel depth (h2) of the channel (452) is greater than the height of the corresponding support arm (32). Thus, support arm (32) can easily fit into the channel (452).
In Figure 3, the support device (40) is shown in perspective alone, with the gas hob (10) removed. In the support device (40) which is ample hollow cone structure, the webs (44) form a protrusion (442) from a lower end (443) on the rim (421) and a protrusion (442) from the outer periphery (41). Each web (44) is of the same size and its lower ends (443) equidistant from the inner edge (43). The upper planar surfaces of the webs (44) form a support wall (444) for the curved outer section (52) of the pan (50). The channel (452) of the retaining element (45) is provided at the bottom of the support element (42) has the corresponding holding web (44) provided at the upper part of the rim (421). In a loaded case, this structure allows downside force exerted by the total weight of both the pan (50) and the food items inside transmitted to the support arms (32) fit inside the channel (452). The channel (452) extends planar. Therefore, each retaining element (45) has a wedge-like form that expands radially outward. As shown in Figure 4, there are four equidistantly right-angled webs (44) on the support device (40) in the ring structure. Each of these webs (44) is symmetrically arranged relative to the opposite holding web (44). A second support element (47), which is formed at right angles with the retaining element (45), sits on the support arms (32) placed perpendicular to each other.
The pan (50) is seated on inclined holding web (44) facing each other from the curved outer section (52) in a wok pan structure. In a gas hob (10), when the concentric flame crown providing burner (2) is ignited, the inner flame crown (23) extend in a space confined by the inner edge (41) due to the inner flame angle (a) not contacting to the rim (421) extending by the rim angle (Y) from above. On the other hand, the outer flame crown (25) extending by providing the outer flame angle (b) does not come into contact with the rim (421) extending from the lower part with the rim angle (Y). Even if the pan (50) disposed on the web (44) in an inclined and an imbalanced manner, in case of different forces to be exerted to the webs (44), due to the inclined position by rim angle (Y), the webs (44) provide sufficiently support the pan (50) over the holding device (30) to prevent roll over.
