Sand toy sets have long been known from the prior art. They are used by small children to play in and with sand, and typically include a bucket, a sieve, and other small parts such as a rake, a shovel, sand molds, or a watering can, which, depending on the embodiment, is suitable for pouring sand or water is. Accordingly, such sets are also suitable for playing with gravel, earth or water, which is why the term “toy set” or “set” for short is used below.

Such a set is known from DE 1758561 U, for example. According to this proposal, the sieve also serves as a lid for the bucket, which in turn is intended to hold the small parts. So that longer small parts (rake, shovel) do not enlarge the already considerable total height of the bucket, the sieve has separate openings for the handles of these small parts that can protrude accordingly. However, this ultimately also leads to an increase in the overall height of the set.

To attach the lid to the top edge of the bucket, the publication proposes separate closure members, which complicate the construction, however, and both increase the cost of the same and - depending on the specific design - can harbor a certain risk of injury, especially for small children.

The patent DE 4017 349 CI therefore proposes to replace the closure members with a simple handle, which by means of at least one of its two ends is releasably attached to the upper edge of the Bucket is attachable. If both ends are attached to the outer upper edge of the bucket, it can also be trans ported using the handle. In particular, however, the hand bracket is dimensioned so that it can include a watering can serving as a lid for the bucket in such a way that it is held firmly to the bucket by means of the attached bracket. Small parts that can be stored in the bucket are thus protected from loss, and the watering can, which serves as a lid, can be attached to the bucket in a simple manner and thus also for small children. However, the overall height of the set is still considerable. In the document FR 1072064 A, a sand toy set is disclosed, comprising a solid bucket, a sieve that can be inserted at the top, and several small parts (rake, shovel, molds). These are placed on the sieve or inserted into tubular guides of the sieve provided for this purpose, where they then protrude far upwards out of the bucket.

From the document WO 94/24002 a foldable bucket with associated lid is known. This can be put together to save space, but naturally there is no longer any interior space available to accommodate further objects which would then have to be transported separately.

Object of the invention and solution

The invention is therefore based on the object of providing a toy set which avoids the disadvantages of the prior art. Accordingly, the toy set should have a small pack size when stowed and be stowable with minimal effort. In addition, it should have a high level of security against loss by leaving the components lying around.

Accordingly, the set comprises a bucket, a lid that covers the upper edge of the bucket, and a plurality of small parts designed to be accommodated in the interior of the bucket, i.e. the small parts can be accommodated in the interior. The lid (in a top view) preferably has a profile that roughly corresponds to that of the bucket or slightly exceeds it (for example by 1 cm) so that the lid can neither fall into the bucket nor protrude unnecessarily far beyond it. The lid falls in particular to the task of holding back the transportable small parts in the interior of the bucket; it is therefore not necessary, but also not ruled out, that the cover must (essentially) close airtight or watertight.

The small parts are preferably so small that they can be accommodated in the interior of the bucket covered by the lid. It is conceivable, but less preferred, that at least one small part protrudes from the bucket, from the area between the bucket and lid, or from the lid at a point provided for this purpose. The invention thus avoids the disadvantages known from the prior art.

By using a folding bucket, the overall height of the set in the condition intended for storage (folding bucket folded) is significantly reduced. According to a preferred embodiment, the set comprises a plurality of small parts which are of an identical, but preferably at least partially different, type.

According to a further embodiment, one of the small parts can be inserted into the folded bucket in such a way that its tip and handle end lie or rest on opposite, and preferably inner, points of the upper edge of the bucket. This means that the small part has approximately a length that corresponds to the diameter of the bucket at its upper edge, so that the small part can have the greatest possible length. According to a further embodiment, one of the small parts has a longitudinal recess on its rear side, in which a handle of a further small part can at least partially be received. The optimal "assembly" of the set for space-saving stowage, which is predetermined in this way, offers another advantage: If a small part is not installed in a predetermined position, this is immediately noticeable. According to a further embodiment, the lid is designed as a sieve or as a watering can. According to a preferred embodiment, the set consists at least partially of a material from the group of bio-based plastics such as in particular bio-PET (polyethylene terephthalate from regenerative sources) or bio-PVC (polyvinyl chloride originating from regenerative sources). In the embodiment shown, the lid 20 is designed as a sieve and thus also provides a toy function at the same time. The openings in the sieve are so small that the retention function is not impaired.
