- viscosifying agent refers to a compound that, when added homogeneously into a 25°C, 50% wt water/50% wt glycerine mixture, in an amount of 0.3% wt., increases the viscosity without leading to the formation of a gel, the mixture staying or remaining fluid.
- Grease penetration is reported according to test method Tappi 559cm-02, classical method 2002. This test method determines the grease penetrability of paper or the wrapper. This test method measures the level of penetration by dropping a mixture of castor oil and solvent onto it. These mixtures are a set of 10 kits, which are prepared with castor oil, n-heptane and toluene as described in following table. The total volume of one kit is 10ml.

- a 25mI drop is deposited onto the paper with a micropipette fixed at a height of 13mm above the sample. After 15 seconds, the surplus is cleaned and immediately after the paper surface is visually examined to check if dark spots appear. Then the paper is removed to carefully check if there are drops on the dark surface. The results are reported as follows:

- the wrapper described herein may reduce and prevent formation of spots on an aerosol generating article that are visible to a consumer. It has been observed that spots can appear on an aerosol generating article upon storage in a humid environment or during consumption. The spots can be caused by absorption of water or aerosol former, including any coloured substances that are suspended or dissolved, into the web of cellulosic fibers that constitutes the wrapper. Without being bound by any theory, the water or aerosol former interacts with the cellulosic fibers of the paper and alters the organization of the fibers resulting in a local change in the optical properties, such as brightness, color, and opacity, and mechanical properties, such as tensile strength, permeability of the wrapper.
