Description

The present invention relates to a packaging and shockproof protection device, and particularly a device for packaging and protecting fragile objects to be transported, such as glass bottles or the like, as well as a method of manufacturing the packaging and protection device. associated.

The packaging of structurally fragile objects to be transported is becoming more and more essential for consumers, thus having to allow optimum protection while not representing a significant bulk, and having to be aesthetically satisfactory.

Paper or cardboard packaging comprising a multilayer structure and comprising at least one structure comprising at least one layer of corrugated or alveolar paper, capable of absorbing shocks in the event of the object falling or coming into contact with a hard surface, is known. These surfaces, on the other hand, do not make it possible to match the shape of the object to be protected, which allows the movement of the object in said packaging.

There are also known packages that match the shape of the object to be protected, but do not provide satisfactory protection with regard to the fragility of the object to be protected.

We also know wedging devices to be inserted into a package of standard shape, these wedging devices comprising at least one layer of concertina-type cardboard. These devices generally do not cover the entire surface of the object to be protected and are to be used in combination with more robust packaging.

On connaît des documents DE202017 003177U1 , FR2571028A3 , US1940596A et US2646165A des dispositifs d'emballage et de protection d'un objet ayant un axe de révolution.We know documents DE202017 003177U1 , FR2571028A3 , US1940596A And US2646165A devices for packaging and protecting an object having an axis of revolution.

The invention overcomes these drawbacks and improves the situation.

It relates to a packaging and protection device for packaging an object to be protected having a vertical axis of revolution.

According to a general definition of the invention, the packaging and protection device comprises a body consisting of an assembly of sheets of paper laminated according to an accordion structure comprising vertical edges, said body being deployable radially around the axis of revolution of the object from a flat condition in which the sheet assembly is flat to an expanded condition in which the sheet assembly wraps and conforms substantially to the entire outer surface of the object to protect and the body in the deployed condition comprises an outer concertina surface having vertical edges, and in which the grammage of the sheets of paper is between 100 g/m2 and 400 g/m2 while the number of sheets is between 20 and 50 sheets, number and weight both chosen according to the protection properties and anti-shock index to be conferred on the object to be protected.

Advantageously, such a structure allows optimized wedging of the object to be protected in the device while guaranteeing full protection of the latter, said concertina structure conferring improved anti-shock properties.

The choice of particular properties of grammage and number of sheets in this range of grammages is not a generic choice which would be obvious to those skilled in the art, nor common in practice, since that allows, in combination with the internal structure and external of the device to allow sufficient rigidity not to deform too much in the event of an impact, and sufficiently flexible so as to absorb said impact so that the object to be protected is not damaged by transmission of the impact.

In practice, the body in the deployed condition comprises an concertina-like outer surface, capable of being brought into contact with a striking element during an impact, and capable of absorbing part of the energy of said impact.

According to one embodiment of the invention, the body comprises two end plates, arranged on each end of the assembly of sheets of paper, said plates being remote from each other when the body is in working condition. flat, and in contact with each other when the body is in the deployed condition so as to envelop and substantially conform to the outer surface of the object to be protected.

By way of example, the end plates are made of reinforced material belonging to the group formed by: rigid cardboard, plexiglass, wood, metal.

In addition, the two end plates of the body comprise locking means, capable of locking the device when the body is in the deployed condition.

According to a particular embodiment of the invention, the two end plates of the body each comprise a structure forming a tongue, arranged on an upper part of each end plate, and allowing the deployment and folding of the body in the condition flat to the deployed condition and vice versa.

In practice, the locking means belong to the group formed by magnetic mechanism, button mechanism, scratch mechanism, double-sided tape mechanism, tape.

The invention further relates to a method for manufacturing a packaging and protection device according to the invention.

  • contrecoller sélectivement et partiellement des feuilles de papier de grammage et nombre choisis et selon des positions choisies ;
  • Découper l'assemblage de feuilles ainsi contrecollé selon un plan de découpe interne choisi, lorsque le nombre de feuille à contrecoller est atteint ;
According to a general definition of the invention, the method comprises the following steps:
  • selectively and partially laminating sheets of paper of chosen weight and number and according to chosen positions;
  • Cut the assembly of sheets thus laminated according to a chosen internal cutting plan, when the number of sheets to be laminated is reached;
  • Cut a selected external cutting plane; And
  • Laminate the edges of the upper and lower parts of the body of the packaging device thus obtained.

Surprisingly, the Applicant has observed that the concertina structure of the device according to the invention combined with its internal structure matching the shape of the object to be protected makes it possible to obtain improved shock protection, while being light, spatially not bulky. , easy to use and produce, and inexpensive for the user.

On entend par objet fragile à protéger 5 tout objet comprenant un plan 6 et un axe de révolution 61.By fragile object to be protected 5 is meant any object comprising a plane 6 and an axis of revolution 61.

With reference to figures 1 to 9 , the packaging and protection device 1 according to the present invention comprises a body 2 consisting of an assembly of laminated sheets of paper 23 concertina-like, and configured to be deployable radially around the object to be protected 5.

Accordion lamination is defined as the gluing of strips of paper glued consecutively on the internal edge of consecutive strips then on their external edges on the following strips, alternating the gluing of the internal edges of two strips then of the following external edges.

En d'autres termes il s'agit d'un contrecollage permettant d'obtenir une structure en accordéon comportant des arêtes verticales rectilignesIn other words, it is a lamination making it possible to obtain an accordion-like structure comprising rectilinear vertical edges

The deployment is carried out with respect to the axis of revolution 61 of the object 5 from a flat condition, in which the assembly of sheets 23 is flat, to an extended condition in which the assembly of sheets 23 surrounds and hugs substantially the entire outer surface of the object to be protected 5.

In flat condition, the device 1 comprises a body 2 having an upper part 25 and a lower part 24, composed of a dense and flat assembly of laminated sheets of paper 23 concertina forming an internal edge 231, configured to be placed in contact with the object to be protected 5 during the transition to the deployed condition, and an outer edge 232 adapted to be deployed parallel to the inner edge 231.

The internal slice 231 also has an internal lower part 241 and an internal upper part 251 arranged along an axis, hereinafter called the axis of revolution, around which the deployment of the body 2 of the device 1 takes place.

The inner edge 231 further comprises a cutout along a plane of revolution 6 of the object to be protected 5 so as to match the shape of the latter during the transition to the deployed condition.

Selon un mode de réalisation conforme à l'invention, en condition plate le corps 2 comprend en outre au moins deux plaques d'extrémités 3, disposées sur chaque extrémité de l'assemblage de feuilles de papier 23.According to an embodiment in accordance with the invention, in flat condition the body 2 further comprises at least two end plates 3, arranged on each end of the assembly of sheets of paper 23.

In practice, the two end plates 3 are parallel to each other when the body 2 is in the flat condition, and are configured to be brought into contact with each other when the body 2 is in the deployed condition so as to envelop and substantially hug the outer surface 24 of the object to be protected 5.

According to a particular embodiment of the invention, the end plates 3 are made of reinforced material, allowing better grip by the user when deploying the device 1 on the object to be protected 5, as well as a surface of contact that is substantially less deformable, in order to ensure surface continuity when bringing the two end plates 3 into contact.

A titre d'exemple non limitatif, matériau renforcé appartient au groupe formé par : carton rigide, plexiglass, bois, métal.By way of non-limiting example, reinforced material belongs to the group formed by: rigid cardboard, plexiglass, wood, metal.

The two end plates 3 of the body 2 further comprise locking means 4, capable of locking the device 1 when the body 2 is in the deployed condition around the object 5, thus making it possible to maintain uniform protection of the object 5 in the event of impact.

In practice, the locking means 4 belong to the group formed by magnetic mechanism, button mechanism, scratch mechanism, double-sided tape, tape.

According to a particular embodiment, each end plate 3 comprises at least one magnetic locking means 42 4 placed on its upper part 25, and at least one magnetic locking means 42 4 placed on its lower part 24, thus allowing a bringing the magnetic means 42 into contact, respectively at the top 25 and bottom 24 in the deployed condition, thus initiating the locking of the device 1.

Alternatively, the outer edge 232 comprises a depression, capable of forming an annular recess 41 in the deployed condition, configured to receive a circular ribbon, completely traversing the outer perimeter of the body 2 thus deployed, and capable of allowing the device 1 to be locked in the deployed condition. deployed.

In practice, the end plates 3 comprise on their respective upper parts 25 a structure forming a tongue 26 allowing the deployment and the folding of the body 2 from the flat condition to the deployed condition and vice versa.

The tongue structure 26 allows better gripping of the endplates 3 for the user to perform the transition between the flat condition and the deployed condition.

In deployed condition, the body 2 comprises an accordion-shaped outer surface 21 corresponding to the deployed version of the outer edge 232, and capable of being brought into contact with a striking element during an impact in order to absorb part of the energy of said shock.

The body 2 of the device 1 further comprises an internal surface 22 corresponding to the deployed version of the internal edge 231, forming in the deployed condition a central radial recess in which the object to be protected 5 is inserted.

According to one embodiment of the invention, the internal surface 22 is arranged according to a revolution of the plane of revolution 6 formed by the internal edge 231, so as to match the shape of the object to be protected 5, and thus allow a wedging precise, limiting the movement capacity of said object 5 in device 1.

Lorsque le dispositif 1 est complètement déployé, la surface interne 22 recouvre la totalité de l'objet à protéger 5, de manière à assurer une protection uniforme en tout point de l'objet 5.When the device 1 is completely deployed, the internal surface 22 covers the whole of the object to be protected 5, so as to ensure uniform protection at all points of the object 5.

En pratique, le déploiement radial s'effectue sur 360°.In practice, the radial deployment takes place over 360°.

According to a first embodiment in accordance with the invention, the outer edge 232 of the body 2 has a straight vertical section plane, substantially forming a rectangle, thus making it possible, in the deployed condition, to form a cylindrical outer surface 21 .

According to a second embodiment in accordance with the invention, the outer edge 232 of the body 2 has a cutout comprising an edge parallel to the inner edge 231, thus making it possible, in the deployed condition, to form an outer surface 21 reproducing the outer surface of the object to be protected 5 and making it possible to obtain a body 2 of equal thickness at all points of the object 5.

In practice, the outer edge 232 of the body 2 has a cutout according to a chosen outer cutting plane 62, thus making it possible, in the deployed condition, to form an outer surface 21 of a shape belonging, without limitation, to the group formed by apple, egg, spinning top, bell, or any other shape comprising an axis of revolution 61.

Selon un mode de réalisation de l'invention, l'assemblage de feuilles de papier contrecollées 23 comprend un nombre de feuilles et un grammage choisis l'un et l'autre en fonction des propriétés de protection et d'indice antichoc à conférer vis-à-vis de l'objet à protéger 5.According to one embodiment of the invention, the assembly of laminated sheets of paper 23 comprises a number of sheets and a basis weight both chosen according to the protective properties and the shockproof index to be conferred vis- against the object to be protected 5.

In practice, the higher the weight, the more the device 1 is shock resistant.

In accordance with the invention, the basis weight chosen is between 100 g/m 2 and 400 g/m 2 , so as to obtain a device 1 which is sufficiently rigid not to deform in the event of an impact, and flexible enough to absorb said impact against the device.

According to the invention, the number of sheets included in the assembly of laminated paper sheets 23 is between 20 and 50 sheets.

Surprisingly, the Applicant has observed that the choice of weight and number of sheets makes it possible to obtain a level of protection of the object adapted to the structure implemented while guaranteeing the absorption of shocks, the deformation of the device and the minimization of the transfer of the energy released in the device to prevent the object to be protected from being damaged.

By way of example, such a weight and number of sheets applied to the structure of the body 2 makes it possible to maintain the physical integrity of a bottle such as a 75 cl bottle of champagne filled with liquid and weighing between 1.5 and 2 Kg, dropped in free fall from a point of fall at a height of one meter and whose impact is carried out on a hard surface (floor of the tiled type, concrete, or surface of similar hardness).

These particular choices of grammage and number of sheets adapted to the structure of the body 2 therefore allow the device to be sufficiently rigid not to deform too much in the event of an impact, and sufficiently flexible so as to absorb said impact while optimizing the degree of protection of the object to be protected.

According to the invention, the lamination of the sheets 23 to be assembled is carried out so that the concertina structure has vertical edges.

According to one embodiment of the invention, the lamination of the sheets 23 to be assembled is carried out so that the concertina structure comprises vertical edges, and a horizontal cut incorporating a structure forming cells.

According to a particular embodiment in accordance with the invention, the device 1 according to the invention comprises a body 2 in two parts each forming a 180° revolution.

The structure forming a tongue 26 allows better gripping of the end plates 3 so that the user executes the transition between the flat condition and the deployed condition, said structure forming a tongue being arranged on each deployment end.

In the deployed condition, the two-part body 2 comprises an accordion-shaped outer surface 21 corresponding to the deployed version of each outer slice 232, and capable of being brought into contact with the second identical part to form the body 2 according to a revolution of 360 ° around the object to be protected, and forming in deployed condition a central radial recess in which the object to be protected 5 is inserted.

According to one embodiment of the invention, the internal surface 22 is arranged according to a revolution of the plane of revolution 6 formed by the internal edge 231, so as to match the shape of the object to be protected 5, and thus allow a wedging precise, limiting the movement capacity of said object 5 in device 1 by locking each flat end relative to the other by installing locking means.

In practice, the locking means belongs to the group formed by magnetic locking means 42 4 disposed on its upper part 25, and at least one magnetic locking means 42 4 disposed on its lower part 24, thus allowing contacting of the means magnetic 42, respectively in the upper part 25 and lower part 24 in deployed condition, thus initiating the locking of the device 1, tongue insertable in a recess on the complementary surface, clip button or the like.

With reference to the figure 10 , the invention also relates to a method of manufacturing the protection device as described.

Le procédé selon l'invention comprend les étapes suivantes :The method according to the invention comprises the following steps:

According to a first step S1, each sheet 23 is partially laminated on specific areas selected so as to obtain an accordion structure.

According to a second step S2, after each lamination, each sheet is assembled until the target number of sheets 23 is reached.

According to a third step S3, the assembly of sheets thus laminated 23 obtained undergoes cutting according to a chosen cutting plane corresponding to the plane of revolution 6 of the object to be protected 5. Additionally, the assembly of sheets thus laminated 23 obtained undergoes a cut according to an external cutting plane 62 chosen.

According to a last step S4, the edges 241, 251 of the upper 25 and lower 24 parts of the body 2 of the packaging device 1 thus obtained are laminated so as to allow the radial deployment of the device 1.

De manière surprenante, le Demandeur a observé que le dispositif 1 selon l'invention permettait d'obtenir un élément de protection léger, résistant et comportant des propriétés d'absorption anti choc optimisées, et facilement utilisable et adaptable à tout type d'objet comprenant un axe de révolution 61.Surprisingly, the Applicant has observed that the device 1 according to the invention makes it possible to obtain a light, resistant protective element comprising optimized anti-shock absorption properties, and easily usable and adaptable to any type of object comprising an axis of revolution 61.

The choice of grammage and number of sheets to be laminated with a targeted grammage in combination with a chosen structure and well-defined storage conditions for the object to be protected in the device make it possible to obtain a singular technical effect allowing the easy deployment of the structure radially while significantly reinforcing the protection of the objects integrated into the device, denoting a specific technical choice and not a generic practice of which a person skilled in the art would be capable.
