- le retournement éventuel de la palette et de son contenu sur une surface plane, pour effectuer une opération sur la surface d'appui des aiguilles, puis une reprise de l'ensemble des aiguilles par la même palette avant son retournement ;
- une autonomie augmentée de la machine, suffisamment alimentée pour un lot de production par l'équipement d'une palette complète ;
- le lavage, ou un traitement de surface, ou un traitement thermique, ou autre, des aiguilles directement sur les palettes ;
- le visitage des aiguilles directement sur les palettes ;
- le maintien dans de bonnes conditions d'une bonne quantité d'aiguilles, au moins dix dans les exemples illustrés par les figures ; une même palette permet aussi l'arrangement de plusieurs rangées d'aiguilles de petite taille, permettant alors le rangement de plusieurs dizaines d'aiguilles.
