Description

Objet de l'inventionObject of the invention

The present invention relates to a panel absorbing and/or reflecting microwaves, to glazing and closing means for an oven using microwaves, comprising such a panel, and to a method for obtaining such a panel, and such glazing and such shutter means.

Etat de la techniqueState of the art

Microwaves are electromagnetic radiation, used in industry in many technical fields. They are also used daily by professionals or individuals, in the field of household appliances, and more particularly heat treatment devices, such as ovens.

There are ovens commonly called "microwaves", because they only use microwave radiation for heating and rapid cooking of food, and so-called "mixed" or "combined" ovens, because they use microwaves and one or more several other sources of heat production, such as for example an electrical resistance or an infrared source, as opposed to so-called “traditional” ovens using only one type of heat source, such as for example gas or electricity .

Ovens, using microwaves, generally comprise a cooking enclosure, which confines the radiation, and means for closing an opening through which the products to be thermally treated are placed in the oven, which usually comprise, or are, a door, capable of limiting or preventing the escape of microwaves from the enclosure. Generally, the door includes glazing that has little or no transparency to microwaves through the use of shielding.

Conventionally, the means of shielding the glazing comprise or consist of a network of conductors forming a mesh, which has the advantage of maintaining a certain optical transparency, in the visible range, and a certain opacity to microwaves. The mesh size of such a network is generally between 1 and 2 mm, which represents 10% of the wavelength of microwaves used in an oven, which have a wavelength of 12 cm for a frequency generally fixed at 2.5 GHz in the most ovens. This allows approximately 90% of the microwaves generated within the oven to be reflected.

The shielding means may be a metal grid, attached to the metal part of the microwave oven door frame, using enamel or paint, as described in the document DE3714122 , or a metal mesh, placed between an exterior window and an internal window, the space being joined using silicone, or an expanded metal plate, obtained by shearing and concomitant stretching of a metal plate, to form a wire mesh having a hexagonal or diamond-shaped pattern, as described in the document JP 2005273977 , or a metallic fabric, woven with conductive threads, as described in the document US2018054860 .

The shielding means can also be a network of conductors, obtained by screen printing on a glass support, and which is covered with a transparent or colored protective enamel layer coated with electrically conductive and transparent layers from the point of view optical, as described in the document FR2484397 .

Even if the glazing of microwave ovens is substantially transparent to rays in the visible range, this transparency is greatly reduced by the presence of the anti-microwave shielding, namely the metal grid, and it is very difficult for the user, to be able to easily see the inside of the oven enclosure. Furthermore, not only does such glazing present a completely unsightly appearance, it also gives the oven, which includes such glazing, a "microwave oven" connotation, which may prove to be negative for certain users, especially when it comes to of combi ovens.

However, to provide excellent visibility to users and attenuate microwave radiation for such combination ovens, the document GB2322276 describes the combined use of a metal mesh, reflecting microwave energy, with a plastic film absorbing microwave energy.

Description détaillée de l'inventionDetailed description of the invention

In the remainder of the description and the claims, the term "length" is used to describe the largest of the measurements on one side of any geometric shape, for example the major radius of an ellipsoid or a ellipse, the base or height of a triangle, the length of a trapezoid or rectangle. The term "width" is used to describe the smallest of measurements, for example the small radius of an ellipsoid or ellipse, the base or height of a triangle, the width of a trapezoid or a rectangle, and the terms “length” and “width” can be used interchangeably, for example to designate the measurement of the radius of a disk, the side of a square.

The terms “front”, “rear”, “upper” and “lower” refer to the normal position of the panel according to the invention, and of its constituent elements, as represented in the figure 1 .

The panel 1 according to the invention comprises a support 2, which is rigid and substantially inflexible. It has sufficient mechanical resistance to bending and/or twisting stresses so as not to deform under the action of a bending and/or twisting force.

The support 2 has a shape, thickness and dimensions adequate and adapted, or compatible, with the final use of the panel 1, or of the elements which comprise such a panel 1.

The support 2 comprises at least one upper surface 3, continuous and substantially flat, preferably also a lower surface 4, continuous and substantially flat, opposite the upper surface 3 ( figure 1 ).

Preferably, the support 2 has a cross section, therefore in the plane formed by the surface 2 or the surface 3, in the X-Z plane, of circular, elliptical, polygonal, trapezoidal or even a quadrilateral shape, advantageously a diamond section , square or rectangular. Preferably, the support 2 has a longitudinal section, therefore in the X-Y plane, and/or a transverse section, therefore in the Y-Z plane, perpendicular to the plane formed by the surface 2 or the surface 3, circular, elliptical or polygonal, trapezoidal or a quadrilateral, advantageously a square or rectangular section, a trapezoid or a right-angled trapezoid.

The support 2 comprises at least a first lateral edge 8, and in the embodiments in which it has a parallelepiped transverse and/or longitudinal section, for example square(s) or rectangular(s), it comprises a second lateral edge 9 , opposite the first side edge 8, a front edge 10 and a rear edge 11, opposite the front edge 10.

The support 2 is made of an inert material, preferably at least thermally inert, advantageously also physically and chemically inert to the material(s) with which one or both of these surfaces 2 and 3 is/are covered ( s) or in contact.

The support 2 is preferably transparent, or partially transparent, optically in the visible range, in its thickness and/or its width and/or its length. It can be sandblasted and/or screen printed and/or colored on part of one or both surfaces 3 and 4.

Preferably, the support 2 is made of, or comprises plastic, glass, a crystalline or semi-crystalline material, a ceramic or a glass-ceramic.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the support 2 is glass, preferably transparent or mass-tinted soda-lime glass, possibly with various layers, such as anti-bacterial, anti-reflective, for example of the type known as the Matelux ® brand, chrome-plated, low-emissivity, for example of the type known under the name of Planibel Clear or Planibel low-E IsoComfort, marketed by the company AGC, or a borosilicate for example known under the brand Borofloat ® 33. preferably, the glass has a high SiO 2 content, a content advantageously between 69% and 81% by weight and with a light transmission of up to 90%. The glass may possibly have previously undergone heat treatment such as hardening, annealing, quenching, bending.

The panel 1 according to the invention comprises anti-microwave shielding means comprising a metal fabric 5, fixed on all or part of one of the surfaces 3 or 4, preferably on the two surfaces 3 and 4 of the support 2, the metal fabric 5 being in constrained form. The metal fabric 5 is stretched over the surface(s) 3, 4. It is in a stretched form between the edges 8, 9, 10, 11 of the support 2.

Il subit, sur le support 2, l'action d'une ou plusieurs forces de tractions, en continu, alors même qu'il recouvre la ou les surfaces 3, 4.Unlike the solutions of the state of the art in which the metal meshes or metal fabrics, used as anti-microwave shielding, are arranged on a support in a "rest" state, namely not constrained or not stretched, in the present invention, the metal fabric 5 is in an elongated form on the support 2. It undergoes, on the support 2, the action of one or several traction forces, continuously, even as it covers the surface(s) 3, 4.

Optionally, the metal fabric 5 can protrude from one or more edges 8 of the support 2, and also cover it or them, nevertheless preferably in unstretched form, therefore in the rest state.

Thus, the panel 1 according to the invention has barrier properties, or microwave reflection properties, preserved or improved, while providing improved optical transparency in the visible range.

The metal fabric 5 according to the invention is deformable, in particular it is elastically extensible. It has an adequate stretching capacity allowing it to move from its “rest” state, while it is not installed on the support 2, to its “stretched” state once it covers the surface(s). 3, 4. It also has elastic properties allowing it to regain, at least partially, its shape and size, after having lost them by extension. Consequently, due to its elasticity, the metal fabric 5 is stretched on the support 2, and undergoes, within the panel 1, tension forces created by the tendency of the metal fabric 5 to return to its resting state.

The metal fibers have a warp diameter "d", and a weft diameter "d", "d" and "d" which may be identical or different between weft and warp, spaced in chain by a distance " w" and in weft with a distance "w'", "w" and "w'" which may be identical or different between weft and warp.

The metal fibers can be interwoven in any suitable weave, for example in a plain, twill or satin weave.

The tension exerted on the metal fabric 5, for such stretching, is also a function of the nature of the threads making up the metallic fabric 5, of their stretching capacity and their elasticity, and therefore of the stretching capacity and the general elasticity of the metallic fabric 5.

Preferably, it is stretched in at least one direction, advantageously in all directions, namely, for a metal fabric 5 of substantially square or rectangular shape, depending on its width or frame (plane ZZ' of the figure 1 ), its length or chain (plan XX' of the figure 1 ), but preferably not in its thickness (plane YY' of the figure 1 ). As it can adopt shapes identical or compatible with those of the panel 1, the metal fabric 5 is stretched, and held taut on the surface(s) 3, 4 of the support 2, in all directions of its width and its length, whatever or its shape.

It is possible to provide for the metal fabric 5 to be stretched differently on its surface 3, 4, therefore in the plane it forms, the X-Z plane, for example according to a first level of stretching for one or more portions of its periphery , with a central portion not stretched or stretched according to a second stretching level, lower than the first stretching level. However, and preferably, it is stretched homogeneously over its entire surface from its central portion to its periphery.

The shape of the days, or meshes, of the metal fabric 5 stretched in the panel 1, and their sizes or dimensions "w" and "w'", in stretched form, is chosen depending on the type of microwave to be absorbed or to reflect on. Preferably, the metal fabric 5 has the same mesh shape in its stretched state as in its rest state. However, it is possible to envisage that the mesh is deformed between these two states, a deformation obtained by a difference in stretching over its width and/or its length.

Preferably, the meshes are stretched between 50 and 100%, that is to say the meshes have dimensions "w" and/or "w'" which are one and a half or two times those of the metal fabric 5 at rest.

The stretched mesh can be a rectangular or diamond mesh, but it is preferably square, because such a mesh makes it possible to obtain the most aesthetic and uniform transparency of the panel 1, and therefore of the device that includes it.

De préférence, les fibres métalliques ont un diamètre « d » et « d' » identique, compris entre 50 et 100 µm.Preferably, the metallic fabric 5 at rest comprises square meshes with dimensions “w” and “w'” of between 60 to 100 µm. Preferably, the metal fibers are made of stainless steel with an identical diameter "d" and "d'", of between 200 and 300 µm. Preferably, the percentage of daylight varies from 35 to 50% and having a fineness of between 30 and 120 mesh/inch, namely between 30 and 120 mesh per 25.4 mm. Stretched, the metallic fabric 5 comprises square meshes ( figure 2 ), whose dimensions “w” and “w'” are between 120 to 220 µm. Preferably, the metal fibers have an identical diameter "d" and "d'", of between 50 and 100 µm.

Preferably, the tension exerted on the metal fabric 5 to stretch it, and keep it taut on the support 2, is 5 to 25 Newtons.

By way of example, the metal fabric 5 according to the invention has a fineness of approximately 43 mesh/inch (43 meshes per 25.4mm), with 46% days, and comprising square meshes of a dimension "d » in warp and “d'” in weft of approximately 160 µm, formed by stainless steel wires having a diameter “w” in warp and “w'” in weft of approximately 70 µm.

The metal fabric 5, in a stretched form, is fixed, continuously or discontinuously, on the surface(s) 3, 4, using fixing means 6, an adhesive, or a glue, compatible with the nature of the metal fabrics 5, the support 2, the final device integrating the panel 1 according to the invention and its final use. Preferably, it is an adhesive having good resistance when subjected to high temperatures, around 250°C. It can be a single-component silicone glue, an acetic-based silicone glue or a neutral-based silicone glue.

The metal fabric 5 is fixed, preferably, on all or part of the periphery 7 of one of the surfaces 3 or 4 ( figure 1 ), preferably a few millimeters, for example 5 to 25 mm, from the edges 8 of the support 2, possibly also on one or more edges 8. This has the advantage of making invisible the points or areas of bonding of the metal fabric 5 in the final device integrating the panel 1 according to the invention.

The panel 1 according to the invention is used, preferably, in the field of household appliances, advantageously as glazing of an appliance domestic or professional household appliances, even more advantageously as glazing of a door of a microwave or combination oven.

The glazing according to the invention comprises the panel 1 according to the invention. It may further comprise one or more coatings, or films, superimposed or arranged adjacent to each other, covering all or part of the metal fabric 5 and/or of the surface(s) 2, 3, or portions of the surfaces 2, 3 of the support 2, not covered with the metal fabric 5, preferably with the exception of the metal fabric 5 protruding from the edge(s) 8 of the support 2.

The coatings or films have adequate dimensions and thicknesses and preferably particular properties, which advantageously depend on the final use of the glazing or the device or means comprising the glazing. It may be a protective coating, preferably thermal protection, and/or anti-condensation.

The panel 1 may further comprise a transparent plate, or sheet, of the same nature, same characteristics and dimensions as those forming the support 2, placed on the metal fabric 5, on the coating(s) covering the metal fabric 5 and/or on the surface(s) 3, 4 of the support 2.

Thus, if the metal fabric 5 covers only one of the surfaces 3 or 4 of the support 2, the other surface can be covered by one or more coverings arranged adjacent or superimposed on each other or by one or more plates arranged adjacent or superimposed on each other, or by both one or more coverings and one or more plates, the plate(s) being arranged adjacently or superimposed on the (x) coating(s) or coating(s) covering the plate(s).

If the metal fabric 5 completely covers one or both surfaces 3, 4 at the same time, a first or a first series of coatings, or one or a first series of plates, can cover the entire metal fabric 5, the coating(s) capable of penetrating the mesh of the metal fabric 5, a second or second series of coatings, or one or second series of plates, which can then cover the first or first series of coatings or the first or first series of plates. Thus, the glazing can be a multi-layer product, comprising either a alternation of coverings and plates, i.e. one or more coverings on one or more plates, or conversely, one or more plates on one or more coverings.

If the metal fabric 5 partially covers one or both surfaces 3, 4 at the same time, the coating(s) or plate(s) can cover either the metal fabric 5 or the surface 3 and/or 4 not comprising fabric metallic 5, or both at the same time. If a first or a first series of coatings, or a first or a first series of plates, only cover part of the metal fabric 5, a second or a second series of coatings, or one or second series of plates can cover the remainder of the metal fabric 5, and possibly also the first or first series of coverings or first or first series of plates. It is also possible to provide that a third or third series of coverings, or one or third series of plates, cover all or part of the first series and/or second series of coverings and/or plates.

The panel 1 according to the invention is preferably used as means of closing a heat treatment enclosure, for example as the door of a microwave or mixed oven.

The shutter means according to the invention comprise the glazing according to the invention and a frame, in one piece or made from an assembly of frame elements, fixed on, or surrounding the glazing, and comprising, or cooperating with, means forming a hinge allowing the closing of the heat treatment enclosure. The frame has all the shapes and dimensions adapted to the enclosure that it must close, to the glazing and to the panel 1 according to the invention.

Le cadre peut également recouvrir un ou plusieurs bords du vitrage et donc un ou plusieurs bords 8 du panneau 1, comprenant éventuellement la ou les portions du tissus métallique 5 dépassant du support 2.Preferably, the frame is positioned at the level, preferably, covers the fixing means 6 of the metal fabric 5 on the support 2, therefore the periphery 7 of one of the surfaces 3 or 4 of the support 2, which has the advantage to make the fixing means 6 invisible. The frame can also cover one or more edges of the glazing and therefore one or more edges 8 of the panel 1, possibly including the portion(s) of the metal fabric 5 protruding from the support 2.

The frame is made of, or includes, all suitable materials, compatible with its end use, in particular with its use as an oven door.

Preferably, the frame is in electrical contact with the metal fabric 5, at least with its portion covering the surface(s) 3, 4 and/or that extending beyond or covering one or more edges 8 of the support 2. This electrical contact has the advantage of dissipating microwave radiation.

The heat treatment device according to the invention comprises a cooking chamber and the closing means according to the invention. Preferably, it is a so-called microwave oven or a combi oven.

The present invention also relates to a method of producing a panel 1 according to the invention.

The method includes the step of taking, or making, the support 2 and the metal fabric 5 as described previously.

Preferably, the metal fabric 5 is placed in its resting state on a table provided with stretching means, for example a table provided with jaws over its entire periphery, and the fabric is fixed in these stretching means.

The metal fabric 5 is elongated in at least one direction, preferably in all directions, namely along its length and/or its width, and maintained in a stretched state, preferably by 0.01 to 5% relative to its state of rest.

Preferably, the stretching of the metal fabric 5 is obtained by applying a force of between 5 and 25 Newtons.

The method may further comprise the fixing on the metal fabric 5 of one or more separator elements, making it possible to delimit at least one, preferably several zones of stretched metal fabric 5, and its cutting along the separator(s). This has the advantage of having portions of stretched metal fabric 5 and therefore of facilitating their handling for the implementation of the other stages of the process.

The size and dimensions of the separator(s) depend on those of the support 2 and therefore those of the panel 1.

The method comprises the step of taking, or making, a support 2 as described above, of depositing fixing means 6, on all or part of the periphery 7 of one of the surfaces 3 or 4, preferably a few millimeters away of the edges 8 of the support 2, possibly also on one or more of the edges 8 9, 10, 11. Preferably, the application of the fixing means 6 implements a pneumatic gun, which has the advantage of gaining precision and obtaining better homogeneity of the fixing means 6 on the surface(s) 3, 4.

The stretched metal fabric 5, or a portion of the latter, provided with its separator element(s), is brought into contact with the support 2 provided with the fixing means 6. Preferably, it is the metal fabric 5 stretched, or one of these portions, which is placed on the support 2. Advantageously, pressure is exerted on the metal fabric 5, so that the fixing means 6 penetrate into, and preferably pass through, these meshes.

The method further comprises a step of removing the separator element(s) from the stretched metal fabric 5.

The method may further comprise a step of cutting the metal fabric 5 projecting beyond the edges 8, 9, 10, 11 of the support 2, preferably leaving a margin with respect to said edges 8, 9, 10, 11, which depends on the final use of the panel according to the invention. For example, for microwave oven glazing, this margin will be approximately 5 to 25 mm.

The method of producing the glazing according to the invention comprises the step of taking, or producing, the panel 1 according to the invention, preferably manufactured according to the method described previously, a step of taking, or producing, one or more coatings, or films, and/or one or more plates, or sheets, transparent, of the same nature, same characteristics and dimensions as those forming the support 2, a step of covering all or part of the metallic fabric 5 and/or all or part of one or more surfaces 3, 4 of the support 2 not covered by the metal fabric (5), using the covering(s) or one or more plates.

If the metal fabric 5 completely covers one or both surfaces 3, 4 at the same time, it is possible to cover it partially or completely, preferably with the exception of the metal fabric 5 extending beyond the edges 8, 9, 10, 11 of the support 2, by a first or a first series of coverings, or one or a first series of plates, then to cover it or them with a second or a second series of coverings, or one or more other plates, in order to obtain a multi-layer product, comprising either a succession of layers of coverings or a succession of plates, or an alternation of coverings and plates, or one or more coverings on one or more plates, or conversely, one or more plates on one or more coverings .

If the metal fabric 5 partially covers one or both surfaces 3, 4 at the same time, it is possible to cover it and/or to cover the surfaces 3, 4 not covered by the metal fabric 5, with one or more coverings or by one or more plates. If a first or a first series of coatings, or a first or a first series of plates, only cover part of the metal fabric 5, it is possible to cover the rest of the metal fabric 5, and possibly also the first or first series of coatings or first or first series of plates, using a second or second series of coatings, or one or second series of plates. It is also possible to cover all or part of the first series and/or second series of coverings and/or plates using a third or third series of coverings, or one or third series of plates.

The application of the coating(s), films, plates or sheets can be done by any suitable method.
