Abstract
Description
- The present invention relates to a heat pump dishwasher.
- The heat pump system in the heat pump dishwashers is composed of a compressor which pressurizes the refrigerant and provides the circulation thereof, flow tubes wherein the refrigerant circulates, a condenser, an evaporator, and an expansion element. In the heat pump dishwashers, the water heating process is realized by means of the heat pump system. The washing water accumulated under the tub is delivered to the water heating receptacle which contains the condenser by means of the circulation pump. The water heating up in the water heating receptacle is directed to the spray arms by means of the multiport valve. This cycle continues until the temperature of the washing water reaches the desired value. The evaporator in the heat pump system draws heat from the environment while the compressor delivers heat to the condenser, and the condenser transfers heat to the washing water. At least one fan directs the ambient air towards the evaporator such that the evaporator draws heat. The ambient air passing over the evaporator leaves its heat on the surfaces thereof and the air leaving the evaporator is discharged to the kitchen environment. The water vapor in the ambient air getting in contact with the evaporator condenses and the resulting water droplets are accumulated in the condensation receptacle under the evaporator. The volume of the condensation receptacle is limited, and if not emptied in time the water in the condensation receptacle overflows and disperses on the floor. The humidity of the ambient air used decreases depending on the operation of the heat pump system, the air in the environment wherein the dishwasher is installed gets dry, and the dry air disturbs the user.
- The Patent No. EP2682037 (B1) relates to a heat pump dishwasher wherein the water condensed on the evaporator surfaces due to the humidity of the ambient air is accumulated in a condensation receptacle.
- The Patent Application No. EP3166466 (A1) relates to the method for transferring the water condensing on the evaporator surface to the washing cycle in a heat pump dishwasher.
- The Patent Application No. CN105476584 (A) discloses the placement of the evaporator, the compressor and the fan into a channel under the body of the dishwasher.
- The aim of the present invention is the realization of a heat pump dishwasher which improves the air conditions of the environment wherein the same is installed.
- The dishwasher realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention is of heat pump type, and comprises a compressor, a condenser, an evaporator, an expansion element and a condensation receptacle wherein the water condensing on the evaporator is accumulated, which together perform the refrigerant cycle. The washing water is heated by the condenser. The dishwasher of the present invention comprises an air duct having an inlet port which collects the air leaving the evaporator during the washing process and an outlet port which opens to the kitchen environment. The water taken from the evaporator condensation receptacle is delivered into the air duct by means of a water supply line. The air passing through the air duct evaporates the water taken from the condensation receptacle and humid air is delivered to the kitchen environment through the outlet port. Thus, the air in the environment wherein the dishwasher operates is prevented from getting dry and disturbing the user.
- In an embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher comprises an evaporator tray which is disposed into the air duct and wherein the water taken from the condensation receptacle is collected.
- In another embodiment of the present invention, the water taken from the condensation receptacle is sprayed into the air duct via nozzles.

- The heat pump (6) comprises a compressor (7) which performs the refrigerant cycle; a condenser (8) which is used for heating the washing water; an evaporator (9) which draws heat from the outer environment and transfers the same to the condenser (8) by means of the compressor (7); at least one fan (10) which provides the heat transfer by blowing the ambient air onto the evaporator (9); an expansion element (11), for example a capillary tube or an expansion valve, which is disposed between the condenser (8) and the evaporator (9); and a condensation receptacle (12) which is disposed under the evaporator (9) and wherein the water condensing on the evaporator (9) is collected (Figure 1).
- The dishwasher (1) of the present invention comprises
- - an air duct (15) which has an inlet port (13) collecting the air passed over the evaporator (9) by means of the fan (10) and facing the evaporator (9) and an outlet port (14) opening from the body (2) to the outer environment, preferably from the front surface of the body (2) to the outer environment, for example the kitchen environment, the air duct (15) evaporating the water taken from the condensation receptacle (12) with the air coming from the inlet port (13) and releasing humid air to the outer environment through the outlet port (14), and
- - a water supply line (16) and a water supply pump (17) for delivering the water in the condensation receptacle (12) into the air duct (15) (Figure 2).
- In an embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher (1) comprises an evaporator tray (18) which is disposed into the air duct (15) and wherein the water taken from the condensation receptacle (12) by means of the water supply line (16) and the water supply pump (17) is collected. The air flowing through the air duct (15) passes over and evaporates the water in the evaporator tray (18), thus enabling humid air to be released to the outer environment (Figure 2).
- In the heat pump dishwasher (1) embodiment of the present invention, the water collected in the condensation receptacle (12) is partially transferred to the evaporator tray (18) disposed in the air duct (15) by means of the water supply line (16) and the water supply pump (17). The water which exceeds the capacity of the evaporator tray (18) and which remains in the condensation receptacle (12) is discharged as waste water. The dry air leaving the evaporator (9) passes over the water in the evaporator tray (18) so as to evaporate the water. The humidified air is released to the kitchen environment through the outlet port (14) opened on the front side of the body (2).
- In an embodiment of the present invention, the compressor (7) in the heat pump (6) contacts the outer surface of the air duct (15). Thus, the cold and dry air leaving the evaporator (9) heats up by drawing the heat from the part where the compressor (7) is in contact with the surface of the air duct (15). In this embodiment, in order to heat the air flowing through the air duct (15), the heat generated in the condenser (8) which is the hot component of the heat pup (6) is used (Figure 5).
- In another embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher (1) comprises a water tank (21) which surrounds the air duct (15) and which is filled with the hot water discharged from the dishwasher (1). The air flowing through the air duct (15) draws heat from the water tank (21) (Figure 6).
- In another embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher (1) comprises at least one nozzle (22) which is connected to the water supply line (16), which is arranged in the air duct (15) and which sprays water onto the inner surface of the air duct (15). The air flowing through the air duct (15) evaporates the water sprayed by the nozzles (22), thus eliminating the need for using the evaporator tray (18) (Figure 7).
- In the dishwasher (1) the water collected in the condensation receptacle (12) is delivered into the air duct (15) extending from the evaporator (9) towards the outside of the body (2). The cold and dry air leaving the evaporator (9) and passing through the air duct (15) evaporates the water delivered into the same air duct (15), thus releasing humid air to the outer environment.
