Abstract
Description
- The present invention is applicable to the field of equipment for clothing and, in particular, relates to a hanger and the hook thereof.
- In the field of clothing equipment, the use of hangers for hanging garments for storage and/or transport is known.
- Typically, the hangers comprise a body which serves to support the garments and a hook, coupled to such a body, characterized by a hook-shaped end which allows the hanger to be hung.
- In the prior art, the hanger bodies are generally made of plastic or wooden materials and the coupling with the hooks is obtained by screwing, snapping or, in the case of plastic bodies, by hot assembly.
- It is evident that the hook/body coupling is the most stressed hanger component when hanging garments. The stresses imposed by the hook on the body during the hanging and movement of the hangers, also in relation to the weight of the garments supported, can compromise the seal of the coupling, compromising the stability thereof or causing the slipping of the hook from the body.
- Furthermore, as a result of the deterioration of the hook/body coupling, such stresses can cause cracks and tears on the hanger body and damage it.
- As said, the known hangers are made of materials characterized by mechanical strengths adapted to ensure the integrity of the hangers for the most common uses. Recently, however, hangers are being developed whose body is made of environmentally friendly materials, such as paper, lacking mechanical strength features such as to ensure hanging garments without the hook breaking or detaching.
- Moreover, the known methods for coupling the hooks to the environmentally friendly bodies do not ensure the stability of the hook itself, allowing longitudinal movements and oscillations such as to damage the hanger body.
- In addition, the following documents are known:
US 920894 A , which describes a coat hanger consisting of two movable arms hinged to a common head,WO 2015115039 A2 , which describes hangers characterized by substantially planar hooks,CN 110151939 A , which describes a hook coupled by a nut to a thin body, andJP S5454444 U - However, what is described in the documents mentioned does not suggest any solution for overcoming the aforementioned drawbacks, in particular, the problems deriving from the use of environmentally friendly materials (e.g., paper) for making the hanger bodies.
- The object of the present invention is to provide a hanger couplable to a hanger body which allows at least partially overcoming the drawbacks highlighted above.
- In particular, an object of the present invention is to provide a hook capable of coupling with hanger bodies made of materials characterized by poor mechanical strength.
- Another object is to provide a hook which allows to reinforce the body to which it is coupled, ensuring greater mechanical strength and limiting, if not eliminating, any risk of damage in response to the stresses to which it is subjected.
- A further object is to provide a hook whose coupling with the body of a hanger ensures stability, preventing oscillations and longitudinal movements in the hook itself which would entail the risk of slippage.
- Having said the foregoing, it is evident that another object of the present invention is to provide a hanger whose hook achieves all the preceding objects.
- Said objects, as well as others which will become clearer in the following, are achieved by a hanger having a shaped body for supporting garments and a hook couplable to the hanger body in accordance with the claims which follow, which are to be considered as an integral part of the present patent.
- In particular, the hook of the invention comprises a first end bent like a hook, a substantially straight second end and joining means to allow the stable coupling of the hook to the hanger body.
- According to an aspect of the invention, the joining means of the hook comprise at least one upper laminar element and at least one lower laminar element, capable of being arranged respectively operatively upstream and downstream of the hanger body and both placed abutting against said body.
- According to another aspect of the invention, said laminar elements have respectively at least a first hole and at least a second hole shaped to be hit by the hook.
- According to a further aspect, the hook of the invention also comprises at least one spacer for stabilizing the hook when coupled to the hanger body.
- Advantageously, such elements being, as mentioned, placed abutting against the hanger body, they act as a reinforcement of the body itself thus allowing to increase the mechanical strength thereof, limiting, if not eliminating, any risk of damage in response to the stresses borne.
- Still advantageously, the hook of the invention is couplable to any hanger body, regardless of the materials with which it is made and therefore regardless of the mechanical strength features thereof.
- Furthermore, still advantageously, the spacer allows to stabilize the hook, when coupled to the hanger body, preventing oscillations such as to compromise hanging.
- From the above, it is evident that the objects described are achieved by a hook couplable to a hanger body and comprising joining means according to the above.
- Further features and advantages of the invention will become more evident in light of the detailed description of a preferred but not exclusive embodiment of a hanger according to the invention, illustrated by way of non-limiting example with the aid of the accompanying drawings, in which:
-
FIG. 1 shows a hook according to the invention in an axonometric view; -
FIG. 2 shows a detail of the hook ofFIG. 1 ; -
FIG. 3 shows the hook ofFIG. 1 in an exploded axonometric view. - With reference to the aforementioned figures, a
hanger 50 is described having ashaped body 51 for supporting garments and ahook 1 couplable to thebody 51 itself. In particular, only a portion of thebody 51 of thehanger 50 is seen in the figures, but this does not constitute a limitation or difficulty in understanding the present invention. - The
hook 1 comprises afirst end 3 bent like a hook, a substantially straightsecond end 4 and joining means 6 to allow the stable coupling of thehook 1 to thebody 51 of the hanger50. - According to an aspect of the invention, the joining means 6 of the
hook 1 comprise anupper laminar element 8, of any geometry, capable of being operatively arranged upstream and abutting against thebody 51 of thehanger 50. - According to the described embodiment, the
upper element 8 comprises, although not shown in the figures, one or more teeth adapted to penetrate into the body of thehanger 50. Advantageously, such teeth prevent theupper element 8 from moving. - Obviously, such an aspect must not be considered limiting for different embodiments of the invention where, for example, the upper laminar element is free or is fixed to the hanger body by rivets, adhesives or other means.
- Furthermore, such a
laminar element 8 comprises reinforcingprojections 11. Obviously, such an aspect should also not be considered limiting for different embodiments of the invention. - According to another aspect of the invention, the joining means 6 of the
hook 1 also comprise alower laminar element 12, also of any geometry, capable of being operatively arranged downstream and abutting against thebody 51 of thehanger 50. - Since, as said, the
laminar elements body 51 of thehanger 50, they act as a reinforcement of thebody 51 itself, advantageously allowing to increase the mechanical strength thereof against the stresses to which thehanger 50 is subjected at the joining point with thehook 1. - Still advantageously, the reinforcement of the
body 51 of thehanger 50 made with thelaminar elements body 51 incurring damage caused by such stresses. - Furthermore, still advantageously, since the mechanical strength is guaranteed by the
laminar elements hook 1 of the invention is couplable to anybody 51 of thehanger 50, regardless of the materials with which it is made and therefore regardless of the mechanical strength features thereof. - According to a further aspect of the invention, the
laminar elements first hole 14 and a second hole 15 shaped to be hit by thehook 1.Such holes 14 and 15 allow thehook 1 to be coupled to thejoining means 6 and, consequently, to thebody 51 of thehanger 50. - In addition, according to the embodiment of the invention which is described, the
laminar elements additional holes 18 shaped to be hit by a mutually stable coupling element. - Advantageously, the coupling between the
upper element 8 and thelower element 12 increases the stability of the pair by eliminating any relative movements. Obviously, such an aspect should not be considered limiting for different embodiments of the invention where, for example, the laminar elements are not mutually coupled. - According to another aspect of the invention, the joining means 6 of the
hook 1 also comprise aspacer 20 for stabilizing towards the oscillations of thehook 1 when coupled to thebody 51 of thehanger 50. - According to the embodiment described, the
spacer 20 consists of a firstshaped portion 21 of thelower laminar element 12. Obviously, this aspect must not be considered limiting for different embodiments of the invention where, for example, the spacer consists of a second shaped portion of the upper laminar element or consists of an additional body decoupled from the laminar elements. Furthermore, even the number of spacer elements should not be considered a limiting feature for the invention. - Advantageously, the presence of a
spacer 20 allows, as mentioned, to stabilize thehook 1 when coupled to thebody 51 of thehanger 50, blocking any oscillations which would result in damage to thebody 51 and slipping risks of thehook 1 or the clothes falling. - According to a further aspect of the invention, the
hook 1 comprises first locking means 22 to mechanically retain it in the second hole 15. Such first locking means 22, arranged at thesecond end 4 of thehook 1, therefore prevent the latter from slipping from thelaminar element 12. - According to the described embodiment, the first locking means 22 consist of a swelling of the
second end 4 of thehook 1. Obviously, this aspect must not be considered limiting for different embodiments of the invention where, for example, they consist of a rivet couplable to the second end of the hook, a particular shape of the hole which can allow the deformation thereof with consequent locking or in the case where the lower locking of the hook occurs by means of the lateral bending of the second end. - According to another aspect of the invention, the
hook 1 also comprises second locking means 24 for holding it in thefirst hole 14. They are arranged in anintermediate zone 25 of thehook 1 and prevent the slipping thereof from theupper laminar element 8. - According to the described embodiment, said second locking means 24 consist of a
thickening 30 of thehook 1 itself. Such thickening 30 may completely wrap around the section of thehook 1 or only a portion thereof. - Obviously, such an aspect must also not be considered limiting for different embodiments of the invention where, for example, the slipping of the hook is prevented by a rivet capable of being operatively arranged upstream of the upper laminar element.
- According to executive embodiments of the embodiment of the invention described, the mechanical retention of the hook, to prevent the slipping thereof, is not achieved by the first and the second locking means but by welding points or by deformations of the hook such as to retain it in the holes.
- From the above, it is evident that the object of the invention is also a hook couplable to the
body 51 of thehanger 50 and comprising joining means 6 as described above. - A complete description of the
hook 1 of the invention is omitted here, since it would replicate what is already written about the same during the description of the hanger. What is observed is that it achieves all the aforementioned advantages. - In light of the foregoing, it is understood that the hanger of the invention achieves all the intended objects.
- In particular, the hook of the invention allows to reinforce the body to which it is coupled in order to ensure an increase in mechanical strength.
- Accordingly, the hook of the invention is couplable to hanger bodies made of materials characterized by poor mechanical strength.
- Furthermore, the hook of the invention limits, if not eliminates, the risk of incurring damage caused by the stresses to which it is subjected.
- In addition, the hook of the invention ensures the stability of a possible coupling thereof, preventing the hook itself from oscillating and slipping.
- The invention might be subject to many changes and variants, which are all included in the appended claims. Moreover, all the details and steps may furthermore be replaced by other technically equivalent elements, and the materials may be different depending on the needs, without departing from the protection scope of the invention defined by the appended claims.
