Abstract

La présente invention concerne un appareil permettant d'extraire de l'énergie à partir des vagues d'eau. Selon l'invention, un élément mobile flottant peut être relié à un élément de flottaison immergé uniquement au moyen d'un arbre et de guides flottants. Un mécanisme de blocage, pouvant détecter la crête et le creux de chaque vague, peut arrêter l'élément mobile flottant au niveau de la crête et du creux de chaque vague, et peut libérer l'élément mobile flottant lors de l'arrivée du prochain creux ou crête, de sorte que l'élément mobile flottant puisse descendre et monter de la distance maximale et capturer la quantité maximale d'énergie sans se mettre en contact direct avec l'élément de flottaison immergé. En particulier, l'invention utilise des guides flottants pour commander un cylindre rotatif autour d'une unité de compression, afin de commander le mouvement de l'élément mobile flottant en fonction des vagues.
