Description

Domaine techniqueTechnical area

L'invention concerne une poulie double. The invention relates to a double pulley.

In many fields, it is known to use a double pulley which must move on a cable. For example, the double pulley is commonly used when performing zip lines with a user sliding along the cable.

The double pulley has two sheaves which are mounted for rotation. The cable is installed inside the pulley in contact with the two sheaves. The double pulley has a connection point which is used to make the mechanical connection between the user hanging from the pulley and the cable holding the pulley. The two sheaves are mounted in line so that the two sheaves run on the cable.

The pulley defines a housing for the cable and a slot for introducing or extracting the cable. By means of the slot, the cable can be introduced into the housing to come into contact with the sheaves. After use, the cable is extracted from the housing by means of the slot.

It is known to have an openable finger which has a first position closing the slot and a second position which leaves the slot open. The openable finger is rotatably mounted and the user presses the finger so as to authorize or prevent the introduction of the cable into the housing or its extraction.

In order to increase security, it is also known to install a locking system which holds the finger in the position closing the slot. The locking system is configured to prevent a simple pressure on the openable finger resulting in the opening of the slot. A locking system is used in the pulley marketed by International Safety Components Ltd. under the Zippey name. The opening of the slot is not obtained by pressing on the opening finger but by pressing on a rod connected to the opening finger.

The openable finger is rotatably mounted on the rear flange to come into contact with the front flange and the locking rod protrudes from the rear flange. To open the housing and insert the cable, the user presses on the rod to move it away from the sheaves, which causes the rotation of the mobile finger.

In use, it appears that the use of such a pulley is not satisfactory. The rod protruding from the rear flange, it is not immediately visible so that the user does not intuitively understand how to open the pulley. Moreover, when the user slides along the cable and clings to the pulley, his fingers cling to the rod and tend to move the mobile finger in the direction of the opening of the slot, which does not is not the desired goal. The same applies to any element which slides along the rear flange and which can catch on the locking rod having a hook.

  • a housing intended to receive a cable, the housing being delimited by the first flange, the second flange, the pair of sheaves and the finger, the finger closing the housing in the closed position and defining a slot in the open position,
  • a blocker mounted on the finger, the blocker being mounted rotatably between a blocking position locking the finger in the closed position and an unlocking position allowing the movement of the finger between the closed position and the open position, the blocker having a rod building on the first flange and on the finger in the blocking position.

The double pulley is remarkable in that the blocker defines an actuation zone separated from the first flange by the finger, the rotation of the actuation zone from the blocking position to the unlocking position corresponding to a distance from the actuation zone relative to the second flange, said rotation of the actuation zone causing the pivoting of the rod.

In one development, the actuation zone and the rod are separated by a rotation shaft of the ascender so that said rotation of the actuation zone causes the rod to approach the sheaves.

Advantageously, the actuation zone is a concave actuation zone having a bearing wall extending from the rotation shaft in a direction parallel to the axis of rotation of the sheaves when the actuation zone is in the blocking position.

Preferably, the concave actuation zone has an abutment wall extending from the rotation shaft in the direction of the second flange when the actuation zone is in the blocking position.

In a development, when the blocker is in the unlocking position and the finger is in the open position, the abutment wall and the second flange define a slot opening into the housing intended to receive a cable, the abutment wall separating the support wall and the second flange, the slot being intended to allow passage of the cable.

Advantageously, when the blocker is in the unlocking position and the finger is in the open position, the abutment wall is separated from the second flange by a distance less than the separation distance between the first flange and the second flange in the lodging.

Dans un mode de réalisation particulier, le déplacement de la position de blocage à la position de déblocage correspond à une rotation de la zone d'actionnement d'un angle supérieur ou égal à 90°.In a particular embodiment, the displacement from the locking position to the unlocking position corresponds to a rotation of the actuation zone by an angle greater than or equal to 90°.

In one configuration, the displacement from the blocking position to the unblocking position corresponds to a rotation of the actuation zone by an angle strictly greater than 95°.

Preferably, the blocker has no zone protruding from the outer face of the first flange.

In another development, the finger comprises an obstacle projecting from the internal face of the second flange and directed towards the first flange when the rod is in the closed position, the distance between the obstacle and the first flange is less than 12 mm and in which the first flange is provided with a through hole or a recess arranged to allow passage of the obstacle when the finger is in the open position.

Preferably, the finger defines a hook resting on an orifice of the second flange.

The invention also relates to a displacement device which provides better security than the configurations of the prior art while remaining easy to use.

To this end, the displacement device comprises a cable and a double pulley according to claim 1, the cable being arranged in the housing.

Description des modes de réalisationDescription of embodiments

As illustrated on the figures 1 to 4 , a double pulley device 1 comprises a pair of sheaves 2 which are advantageously of identical structures. The pair of sheaves 2 is mounted in line. Each sheave 2 is mounted for free rotation on a shaft 3. The two shafts 3 are fixed to a support bracket 4. The support bracket 4 is advantageously in the shape of an inverted U. The support bracket 4 can be a metal support bracket. The support bracket 4 can be formed by a sheet metal deformed to define a U or substantially a U. The support bracket 4 can be made by assembling several elements.

Such a device is intended to be part of a movement device used for the air transport of a person during a zipline passage on a rope or an insurance cable. The double pulley 1 runs along a fixed cable 5.

L'étrier de support 4 possède un premier flasque 6 et un deuxième flasque 7.The support bracket 4 has a first flange 6 and a second flange 7.

The two sheaves 2 are mounted rotatably by means of two rotation shafts 3. The two rotation shafts 3 are installed parallel to each other. The two rotation shafts 3 define two axes of rotation different. In the illustrated embodiment, the two axes of rotation 3 belong to the same plane which divides each sheave 2 into two equal parts. Advantageously, the two shafts 3 are mounted fixed on the stirrup 4.

The two rotation shafts 3 are fixed to the first and second flanges 6 and 7. The two sheaves 2 are mounted between the first and second flanges 6 and 7. The two sheaves 2 face the internal faces of the two flanges 6 and 7.

Le doigt 8 est espacé du deuxième flasque 7 d'une distance assurant le passage du câble 5.The double pulley 1 comprises a finger 8 which is configured to be movable between a first position and a second position. The mobility of the finger 8 makes it possible to define the slot for introducing or extracting the cable 5. In the first position or closed position, the finger 8 closes the slot. The cable 5 arranged in the housing cannot be extracted. In the second position or open position, the finger 8 defines a slot with the second flange 7 to allow the introduction or extraction of the cable 5. The finger 8 is spaced from the second flange 7 by a distance ensuring the passage of the cable 5.

The housing is partly defined by the first flange 6, the second flange 7, the finger 8 and the two sheaves 2.

The finger 8 is mounted around a rotation shaft which is fixed on the first flange 6. The rotation shaft defines an axis of rotation of the finger 8 which is advantageously arranged parallel to an axis which passes through the two axes of rotation of the two sheaves 2 and which is perpendicular to the two axes of rotation of the sheaves 2.

It is advantageous to use a spring connected to the first flange 6 and to the finger 8. The spring is configured to move the movable finger 8 towards the closed position and thus close the slot in the absence of stress. The spring applies a force to the finger 8 to direct it towards the second flange 7.

Le bloqueur 9 est monté mobile par rapport au doigt 8 et par rapport au premier flasque 6.The finger 8 is associated with a blocker 9 which ensures the locking of the finger 8 in the closed position even with mechanical stress on the finger 8. The blocker 9 is mounted on the finger 8 so as to move with the movements of the finger 8. The blocker 9 has an actuation zone 10 which is mounted on the finger 8. The actuation zone 10 is intended to cooperate with the finger of the user. The blocker 9 is mounted to move between a first position and a second position. The first position of blocker 9 is a blocking position which maintains movable finger 8 in the closed position. The second position of the blocker 9 is an unlocking position which allows movement of the finger 8 between the closed position and the open position. The blocker 9 is mounted to move relative to the finger 8 and relative to the first flange 6.

It is particularly advantageous to use a blocker 9 mounted for rotation around a rotation shaft 11 which is mounted fixed on the finger 8. The zone of actuation 10 is mounted for rotation around the shaft 11. The axis of rotation of the blocker 9 is different from the axis of rotation of the finger 8. For example, the rotation shaft 11 of the blocker 9 defines an axis of rotation which is parallel to the axis of rotation of the movable finger 8. The axis of rotation of the blocker 9 is arranged between the axis of rotation of the movable finger 8 and the point of contact with the second flange 7. In the position of blocking, the blocker 9 bears on the first flange 6 directly or indirectly by means of a rod 12. The bearing grip opposes the movement of the finger 8 from the closed position to the open position. In another configuration, the blocker 9 rests on the finger 8 by means of the rod 12. In its blocking position, the rod 12 opposes the rotation of the finger 8. The blocker 9 preferably has a rod 12 mounted at rotation. Advantageously, in the blocking position, the blocker 9 rests on the internal face of the first flange 6, that is to say the face which is opposite the sheaves 2.

Le déplacement de la zone d'actionnement 10 cause le déplacement de la tige 12 qui avantageusement se rapproche des réas 2.When moving from the locking position to the unlocking position, the actuation zone 10 moves in rotation away from the sheaves 2 and the second flange 7. The movement of the actuation zone 10 causes the displacement of the rod 12 which advantageously approaches the sheaves 2.

The actuation zone 10 of the blocker 9 is visible on the front face of the pulley, that is to say the face which comprises the slot. The actuation zone 10 protrudes from the front face of the pulley 1 which facilitates its actuation by the user who directly sees the zone to be used to open the pulley 1. This configuration makes it possible to have an ascender 9 which does not no protrusion on the outer rear face of the pulley which increases safety during use.

La prise d'appui de la tige 12 sur le premier flasque 6 entraine le blocage du doigt 8 car l'arbre de rotation du bloqueur 9 est fixé au doigt 8.In the configuration illustrated, the blocker 9 is in one piece and is located partly in the housing intended to receive the cable 5. The rod 12 is mounted in one piece with the actuation zone 10. The rod 12 is mounted to rotate around the rotation shaft 11. The rotation shaft 11 separates the rod 12 and the actuation zone 10. The bearing of the rod 12 on the first flange 6 causes the locking of the finger 8 because the rotation shaft of the ascender 9 is attached to finger 8.

Advantageously, the actuation zone 10 is arranged at one end of the blocker 9 and the opposite end is formed by the rod 12 which bears against the first flange 6 when the blocker 9 is in the blocking position.

In an alternative embodiment not shown, the rod 12 is mounted for rotation with an axis of rotation which is different from that of the actuation zone 10. The rotation of the rod 12 is caused by the rotation of the actuation zone 10. The rotation shaft of the rod 12 can be mounted on the first flange 6. This embodiment is less advantageous than the previous one because it requires more elements which increases the size.

The two projecting elements ensure better transmission of forces and can move to come adjacent to the finger in a direction parallel to the axis of rotation of the finger as shown in picture 3 .

The actuation zone 10 is advantageously a concave actuation zone and not a convex actuation zone. The actuation zone 10 defines a recess which encourages the user to place a finger in the recess to move the blocker 9 then the finger 8.

The concave actuation zone 10 has an abutment wall 13 and a bearing wall 14 which represent two distinct surfaces meeting to define the concavity. In the blocking position, the abutment wall 13 covers the finger 8 extending mainly from the rotation shaft 11 towards the second flange 7, that is to say towards the two sheaves 2. The abutment wall 13 extends substantially along the longitudinal axis of the finger 8 to avoid any direct contact between the user's finger and the finger 8 when the blocker 9 is in the blocking position. The zone of the bearing wall 14 is arranged projecting from the finger 8 extending orthogonally to the axis of rotation of the blocker 9 and orthogonal to the longitudinal axis of the finger 8. The bearing wall 14 extends from the rotation shaft 11 in a direction parallel to the axis of rotation of the sheaves 2. The bearing wall is arranged projecting from the front face of the pulley, which facilitates actuation of the ascender. The support zone 14 is mounted fixed relative to the abutment wall 13. Advantageously, the abutment wall 13 covers at least 50% of the distance which separates the axis of rotation of the ascender 9 and the second flange 7 in the closed position, preferably at least 75%.

La fente est destinée à autoriser le passage du câble 5.The abutment wall is optional in actuating the blocker from the blocking position. When the blocker 9 moves from the blocking position to the unlocking position, the actuation zone 10 moves away from the two sheaves 2 and away from the second flange 7. The abutment wall 13 pivots in moving away from the second flange 7. In this way, the finger of the user who moves the actuation zone 10 is naturally far from the second flange 7 which avoids obstructing the slot and will facilitate insertion or extraction of the cable 5. The abutment wall 13 and the second flange 7 define a slot opening into the housing intended to receive a cable 5. The wall of abutment 13 separates the support wall 14 and the second flange 7. The slot is intended to allow the passage of the cable 5.

When the blocker 9 is in the unlocking position and the finger 8 is in the open position, it is advantageous for the abutment wall 13 to be separated from the second flange 7 by a distance less than the separation distance between the first flange 6 and the second flange 7 in the housing. The slot allows the introduction of the cable while allowing the formation of a compact blocker.

The inventors have observed that with a pulley provided with a pivoting finger 8, the user pushes on the finger 8 in order to bring it closer to the first flange 6 and define the slot. However, during this pressing to open the pulley 1, the user's finger naturally slides towards the second flange, because of the pivoting, so that the user's finger moves towards the inside of the slot which block the slot. To eliminate or reduce this inconvenience, the height of the slot must be increased and/or the separation distance between the actuation zone and the slot must be increased. To circumvent this problem, the Zippey pulley presented above uses an actuation zone arranged on the rear face of the pulley, which is less intuitive in its operation.

L'appui appliqué sur le doigt 8 pour faire pivoter le doigt 8 est dirigé différemment de la rotation de la zone d'actionnement 10.On the contrary, by means of the concave actuation zone 10, when the user presses on the actuation zone 10 to move the finger 8, the abutment zone 13 opposes the sliding of the user's finger. The pressure applied to the finger 8 to cause the finger 8 to pivot is directed differently from the rotation of the actuation zone 10.

Le doigt de l'utilisateur est protégé de tout contact avec le câble 5 par la paroi de butée 13.The blocker 9 remains in the unlocked position and the force applied by the user to the actuation zone 10 brings the finger 8 closer to the first flange 6 to define the slot. In an advantageous configuration, the slot is defined at one end by the distance between the second flange 7 and the abutment wall 13 and at the other end by the distance between the second flange 7 and the finger 8. The finger of the user is protected from any contact with the cable 5 by the abutment wall 13.

In a preferred embodiment, the blocker 9 defines an end stop when moving from the first position to the second position. Once the limit stop has been reached, pressing on the actuation zone 10 results in a force on the finger 8 which moves the finger 8 from the closed position to the open position.

The actuation zone 10 of the blocker 9 also forms the finger actuation zone 8 so that the user's finger is able to move the blocker 9 from the blocking position to the unlocking position. and that the force applied in the unlocking position moves the finger 8.

In the configuration illustrated, the actuation zone 10 is separated from the first flange 6 by the finger 8. The rotation shaft 11 of the blocker 9 is mounted between the rotation shaft of the finger 8 and the end of the finger 8 which comes into contact with the second flange 7 to close the slot.

Advantageously, the displacement of the actuation zone 10 from the blocking position to the unblocking position corresponds to a rotation of an angle greater than or equal to 90° and preferably greater than 95°. Such a rotation makes it possible to better distinguish the movement causing the unlocking of the blocker 9 and the movement causing the opening of the slot. Thus, a downward vertical movement applied to the pulley illustrated in figure 1 results in the release of the blocker 9 without opening the finger 8. The same movement applied to the Zippey pulley causes the opening of the pulley. In the pulley shown in figure 1 , the vertical downward movement is then associated with a horizontal movement towards the first flange 6 to open the slot. Safety is improved by means of two consecutive efforts having two different orientations to obtain the opening of the pulley.

In a particular embodiment, the mobile finger 8 has an obstacle 15 which is arranged between the first flange 6 and the second flange 7. The obstacle 15 is mobile between the two flanges 6 and 7. The first flange 6 defines a hole through and / or a recess 16 which cooperate with the obstacle 15. The recess 16 does not extend over the entire width of the first flange 6. The width is measured along the longitudinal axis of the cable 5 or the axis perpendicular to the two axes of rotation of the sheaves 2 and passing through the two axes of rotation. In the open position, the obstacle 15 partially sinks into the through hole and/or into the recess 16. The obstacle 15 is configured to at least partially obstruct the space between the two flanges 6 and 7 and prevent the cable 5 is located between finger 8 and first flange 6, which prevents cable 5 from being extracted.

Dans la position ouverte, la distance entre l'obstacle 15 et le deuxième flasque 7 est supérieure au diamètre du câble 5.The obstacle 15 cooperates with the two flanges 6 and 7 so that the obstruction length of the obstacle 15 in the housing changes depending on whether the finger 8 is in the closed position or in the open position. The length is measured in the direction which crosses the first flange 6 and the second flange 7. The obstruction length is greater in the closed position than in the open position. In the closed position, the obstruction length opposes the passage of the cable between the first flange 6 and the obstacle 15. The distance between the obstacle 15 and the first flange 6 is less than the diameter of the cable 5. In the open position, the distance between the obstacle 15 and the second flange 7 is greater than the diameter of the cable 5.

In the closed position, the obstacle 15 extends a first distance from the first flange 6 towards the second flange 7. The first distance is less than or equal to the minimum distance which separates the two flanges 6 and 7 in a plane parallel to the plane which contains the two axes of rotation of the sheaves 2 and which passes through the obstacle 15. The difference between the first distance and the minimum distance which separates the two flanges 6 and 7 is less than the diameter of the cable 5, for example 12mm. The cable 5 has a tension or a rigidity which prevents it from deforming and passing between the obstacle 15 and the first flange 6. The cable 5 remains between the obstacle 15 and the sheaves 2.

Cela permet l'insertion ou l'extraction du câble 5.In the open position, the obstacle 15 sinks into the recess 16 and/or into the through hole so that the distance which separates the obstacle 15 and the second flange 7 is greater than the diameter of the cable 5. This allows the insertion or extraction of the cable 5.

Avec ce coincement, il n'est pas possible d'extraire le câble voire d'ouvrir le doigt 8.The obstacle 15 makes it possible to limit the movement of the cable 5 and prevents the cable 5 from being stuck between the finger 8 and the first flange 6. With this jamming, it is not possible to extract the cable or even to open finger 8.

The double pulley has an attachment point 17 which is intended to mechanically connect the user with the pulley. The attachment point 17 allows the introduction of a lanyard, a strap, a rope or a carabiner.

Le trou traversant traverse la paroi interne et la paroi externe du deuxième flasque 7.In a particular configuration, the finger 8 comprises a hook 18 which cooperates with the second flange 7. Preferably, the hook 18 cooperates with a through hole of the second flange 7. The through hole passes through the internal wall and the external wall of the second flange 7.

In an advantageous embodiment, the hook 18 bears against the side wall of the second flange 7 when the force applied to the attachment point 17 reaches a threshold value. The threshold force advantageously corresponds to a user suspended from the attachment point 17. In a particular configuration, the bearing of the hook 18 against the side wall of the second flange 7 prevents the opening of the slot.

Advantageously, the pulley 1 has a fixing point 17 which is located under the housing.

In the illustrated embodiment, the attachment point 17 is formed by a rod 19 which extends from the first flange 6. Advantageously, the rod 19 extends to an additional second flange 20 which is fixed to the first flange 6 by other means. The connections between the rod 19, the first flange 6 and the second additional flange 20 make it possible to transmit part of the forces applied to the rod 19 to the first flange 6.

In a particular configuration, the first flange 6 is connected to the second flange 7 by means of a support 21. The support 21 can have an upper face which defines one or two notches 22 which are arranged at the ends of the support bracket along the longitudinal axis of the cable 5. Each notch 22 can be configured to hold a carabiner. Advantageously, the notch 22 is configured to define a depression which is located between the rotation shaft 3 and the end of the support. The notch 22 can be formed by an element 23 which defines a horn.

L'espaceur 24 est monté entre le premier flasque 6 et le deuxième flasque additionnel 20.In a particular configuration, the rotation shaft of the movable finger 8 is mounted on a spacer 24 which is configured to offset the axis of rotation relative to the first flange 6. The spacer 24 is mounted between the first flange 6 and the second additional flange 20.

In a specific configuration, the blocker 9 bears against the spacer 24 which is itself bears against the first flange 6.
