Abstract
Description
- The invention relates to a hinged arrangement, in particular a door or window hinged arrangement comprising at least two articulated hinge members, wherein at least one of said hinge members has a fastening part with at least two mounting holes and is attachable to a profiled thermal insulation element of a frame or a sash, which profiled thermal insulation element has at least one metal first box profile and at least one metal second box profile connected with each other via at least one thermal insulating rib defining an internal thermal insulation space, by means of a screw fastening assembly comprising at least two mounting screws passable through said mounting holes in the fastening part and through mounting holes in the profiled thermal insulation element.
- Patent publication
EP2636830 discloses a door hinge mounting system comprising a screw fastening assembly having an end counter plate in contact with the outer surface of the hollow profile, a sleeve connecting member attached to the end plate having a through threaded hole adapted to engage a mounting screw passing through a flat fastening part of the hinge member. A retaining sleeve is located on the opposite side of the end counter plate, comprising a flange projecting in the radial direction, which serves to fix the fastening system on the outer surface of the hollow profile. The outer diameter of the retaining sleeve corresponds to the outer diameter of the sleeve connecting member. Similar solutions are also disclosed in patent publicationsDE29922023 andDE202007003675 . - The object of the invention has been to provide a hinged arrangement with increased durability and good thermal insulation, featuring simplicity of construction and low cost of manufacture.
- The invention provides a hinged arrangement, as recited in the outset, which is characterised in that said screw fastening assembly comprises at least two positioning dowels provided with outer threads and screwable into the mounting holes of the profiled thermal insulation element from its axially outer side, in which they knead internal threads while being screwed, and at least two locking sleeves made of plastic and provided with sockets, said sockets having cross-sectional diameter at the outlet larger than inside the socket, and with torque locking plates, and insertable into the mounting holes of the profiled thermal insulation element from its axially inner side, wherein said mounting screws are screwable into said positioning dowels and said sockets of said locking sleeves in which they knead internal threads while being screwed.
- Such a construction of the screw fastening assembly allows quick mounting of the hinged arrangement. On the other hand, plastic locking sleeves prevent deformation of the profiled thermal insulation elements when screwing the mounting screws into the positioning dowels in order to fix the fastening part of the hinge member. The metal mounting screws are also thermally insulated from the profiled thermal insulation element.
- Preferably said two locking sleeves are coupled with said torque locking plate to form a uniform stiffening member.
- Preferably said locking plate is screwable into the profiled thermal insulation element from its axially inner side by means of at least one fastening screw.
- Preferably said screw fastening assembly comprises at least four positioning dowels and at least two stiffening members, wherein one stiffening member is insertable into the mounting holes in the thermal insulating rib of the profiled thermal insulation element and one stiffening member is insertable into the mounting holes in the box profile of the profiled thermal insulation element.
- Such a construction of the hinged arrangement, no thermal bridges occur between the metal first box profile and the metal second box profile of the profiled thermal insulation element.

Fig. 1 shows one of several hinged arrangement 1, which in this embodiment are used to hingedly connect multi-chamber profiledthermal insulation elements 3 of asash 5 of an external office door (not shown in the drawing) in a multi-chamber profiledthermal insulation elements 3 of a frame 4. Uniform or multi-chamber glazing, panels or elements made of tempered glass, plastic, wood, etc., not shown in the drawing, can be embedded in the area defined by connected profiledthermal insulation elements 3 of thesash 5. The figure shows the hinged arrangement 1 in an open position. The hinged arrangement 1 comprises twohinge members 2a attached to the longitudinal profiledthermal insulation element 3 of the frame 4 and articulated with thehinge member 2b attached to the profiledthermal insulation element 3 of thesash 5. - Where appropriate numerical references of elements having the same functionality but slightly different design have been extended by the suffix "a" in the case of the frame 4 or "b" in the case of the
sash 5. The orientation of the coordinate system refers to the given profiledelement 3. The terms "axially outer" and "axially inner" side of the profiled thermal insulation element, as used in the description refer respectively to the assembly side of the hinge member or the building partition (in the case of a frame) or sash filling side. - In this embodiment, the profiled
element 3 of the frame 4 consists of a firstaluminium box profile 31a and a secondaluminium box profile 32a, which are connected to each other by two longitudinal shaped insulating ribs 33a made of polyamide PA66 with a 50% addition of a fiber glass. Thermal insulatingribs 33 define an innerthermal insulation space 34a between them. The profiledelement 3 of thesash 5 has in this embodiment an analogous structure defined by a firstaluminium box profile 31b, a secondaluminium box profile 32b, connected together by insulatingribs 33b. Low thermal conductivity (less than 0.1 W/(mK)) of the thermalinsulating ribs 33 ensures thermal separation of thebox profiles 31, 32 (whose thermal conductivity amounts about 200 W/(mK)) in the area of the internal thermal insulation space 34. Thanks to this the total thermal resistance of the profiledelements 3 is relatively high. - Each of the
hinge members shaped hinge clamp 21 and aflat fastening part 22 withmounting holes 23 and is attached to the respective profiledthermal insulation element 3 via ascrew fastening assembly 7. Thehinge clamps 21 of thehinge members 2a of the frame 4 include a hinge roller (not shown in the drawing) clamped between them, and thehinge clamp 21 of thehinge member 2b of thesash 5 holds the hinge roller rotatably between theclamps 21 of thehinge members 2a of the frame 4. -
Figure 2 illustrates the hinged arrangement 1 itself without the profiledelements 3. As can be seen, thehinge members 2a of the frame 4 are located on anadjustment plate 6 equipped with anadjustment screw 61 for vertical adjustment of the hinged arrangement 1. - As shown in
Figs. 3 to 5 , thescrew fastening assembly 7 in this embodiment includes fourpositioning dowels 71, fourmounting screws 72 and twostiffening members 73. Eachpositioning dowel 71 is made of galvanized free-cutting steel and is provided with anouter thread 711, extending from a conical guidingpart 712 of thedowel 71 on its axially inner side to a cylindricalmain part 713. From the axially outer side, eachdowel 71 is provided with acircumferential locking projection 714 preventing its falling into the inside of the profiledelement 3 when the dowel is being screwed. On its axially inner side thedowel 71 has a threaded throughhole 715 for themounting screw 72, which passes into an axially outertorque lock socket 716, which in this embodiment is in the form of an Allen socket. Thestiffening member 73 is made of polyamide and has twocylindrical locking sleeves 733 with a diameter corresponding to the inside diameter of theouter thread 711 of the cylindricalmain part 713 of thedowel 71. From the inside, thelocking sleeves 733 are provided withsockets 731 with a tapered longitudinal section tapering in an axially internal direction, whose forming is inclined at an angle α in the range of several degrees relative to the axis of thesleeve 733. In another embodiment, thesocket 731 may have a two-stage hole. The purpose of thesocket 731 is to pre-guide themounting screw 72 so that it freely begins to knead the internal thread, preventing thesleeve 733 from being pushed outwards. As a result, the use of afastening screw 74 may not be necessary. - From the axially inner side, the
stiffening member 73 comprises atorque locking plate 732 when screwing themounting screws 72. Thelocking plate 732 connects thelocking sleeves 733 and is screwed to the profiledelement 3 from its axially inner side by means of the fasteningscrews 74. - Fastening of the
hinge member 2 of the hinged arrangement 1 to the profiledelement 3 by means of thescrew fastening assembly 7 in the embodiment shown inFigs. 1-4 proceeds as follows. First, at predefined points of the profiledthermal insulation element 3, four throughmounting holes 35 are made with a diameter corresponding to the diameter of thecylindrical locking sleeve 733 of thestiffening member 73. Then, twostiffening members 73 are inserted from the axially inner side into themounting holes 35 and each of them is screwed to the profiledelement 3 by means of the fasteningscrews 74. Eachpositioning dowel 71 is screwed into thecorresponding hole 35 from its axially outer side by means of an Allen key until thecircumferential locking projection 714 rests on the outer surface of the profiledelement 3. The conical guidingpart 712 of thepositioning dowel 71 facilitates kneading the thread in thehole 35 through theexternal thread 711. Next, the fasteningpart 22 of the hinge member is screwed to thedowels 71 by means of mountingscrews 72. During further screwing, themounting screws 72 enter thesockets 731 in thestiffening members 73, where they knead internal threads. This stiffens the fastening of thehinge member 2 and prevents unscrewing of thescrews 72. Furthermore, no thermal bridge occurs between the first andsecond box profiles - In order to better illustrate the invention, some of its features may have been exaggerated or reduced/enlarged in the drawing without maintaining the proper scale. The presented embodiment should also not be regarded as limiting the scope of protection of the invention as defined in the patent claims.

- A hinged arrangement (1), in particular a door or window hinged arrangement comprising at least two articulated hinge members (2), wherein at least one of said hinge members (2) has a fastening part (22) with at least two mounting holes (23) and is attachable to a profiled thermal insulation element (3) of a frame (4) or a sash (5), which profiled thermal insulation element (3) has at least one metal first box profile (31) and at least one metal second box profile (32) connected with each other via at least one thermal insulating rib (33) defining an internal thermal insulation space (34), by means of a screw fastening assembly (7) comprising at least two mounting screws (72) passable through said mounting holes (23) in the fastening part (22) and through mounting holes (35) in the profiled thermal insulation element (3), characterised in that said screw fastening assembly (7) comprises
at least two positioning dowels (71) provided with outer threads (711) and screwable into the mounting holes (35) of the profiled thermal insulation element (3) from its axially outer side, in which they knead internal threads while being screwed, and
at least two locking sleeves (733) made of plastic and provided with sockets (731), said sockets (731) having cross-sectional diameter at the outlet larger than inside the socket (731), and with torque locking plates (732), and insertable into the mounting holes (35) of the profiled thermal insulation element (3) from its axially inner side,
wherein said mounting screws (72) are screwable into said positioning dowels (71) and said sockets (731) of said locking sleeves (733) in which they knead internal threads while being screwed. - The hinged arrangement according to claim 1, characterised in that said two locking sleeves (733) are coupled with said torque locking plate (732) to form a uniform stiffening member (73).
- The hinged arrangement according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that said locking plate (732) is screwable into the profiled thermal insulation element (3) from its axially inner side by means of at least one fastening screw (74).
- The hinged arrangement according to claim 2 or 3, characterised in that said screw fastening assembly (7) comprises at least four positioning dowels (71) and at least two stiffening members (73), wherein one stiffening member (73) is insertable into the mounting holes (35) in the thermal insulating rib (33) of the profiled thermal insulation element (3) and one stiffening member (73) is insertable into the mounting holes (35) in the box profile (31, 32) of the profiled thermal insulation element (3).
