Definitions

  • the invention relates to an element for a soundproofing wall with a longitudinal extent, the element having two side walls running in the direction of the longitudinal extent, each with an upper longitudinal edge and a lower longitudinal edge, and the element having a side wall running in the direction of the longitudinal extent and arranged in the region of the upper longitudinal edges , upper flange with two lateral edges running in the direction of the longitudinal extent and/or a lower flange with two lateral edges running in the direction of the longitudinal extent, which runs in the direction of the longitudinal extent and is arranged in the region of the lower longitudinal edges, and wherein an edge region of at least one of the longitudinal edges has at least one of the side walls or at least one of the lateral edges of the upper chord or the lower chord is arranged running in the direction of the longitudinal extent along a lateral edge of the upper chord or the lower chord or a longitudinal edge of one of the side walls.
  • Noise protection walls which are arranged to run, for example, along roads or railway lines, usually consist of one or more stacked, elongated elements with an outer body in which sound-absorbing material is accommodated.
  • outer bodies can be composed of differently shaped parts, for example sheet metal plates made of steel or aluminum, and each enclose at least one soundproofing element accommodated therein, for example a soundproofing panel made of sound-absorbing material such as rock wool.
  • the parts of the outer body are usually connected to one another in a form-fitting manner.
  • the connections between the parts along in the direction of Longitudinal extension of the elements running overlapping areas of two parts are arranged, exposed to particularly high periodic stresses. These stresses arise primarily from the displacement of air from passing vehicles, which creates compressive forces on the elements, subjecting the elements to intermittent transverse loads.
  • the invention is based on the object of providing an element for a soundproof wall of the type mentioned at the outset that is easier to produce than conventional elements for a soundproof wall.
  • this object is achieved with an element for a noise protection wall which has the features of claim 1 or 2 .
  • the edge area runs in a U-shaped groove, which is formed by a leg of the lateral edge or the longitudinal edge and a further leg connected to the leg and runs in the direction of the longitudinal extension, so that the edge area and the legs overlap one another, is added, and that the recorded in the groove edge region with the groove over at least a form-fitting connection is connected, the form-fitting connection being formed by a joint plastic deformation of at least one of the legs and the edge region received in the groove.
  • Elements for noise barriers connected according to the invention essentially do without additional fasteners, such as screws or rivets, and without weld seams at the connection points between the side walls and the upper chord and/or the lower chord, without reducing the load-bearing capacity of the elements compared to conventional elements for noise barriers.
  • the manufacturing advantages resulting therefrom reduce the manufacturing costs of noise protection walls composed of elements according to the invention.
  • the invention provides that the edge area of the longitudinal edge of the side wall or the lateral edge of the upper or lower chord is in a U-shaped groove, which is formed by a leg of the lateral edge of the upper or lower chord or the longitudinal edge of the side wall and a further leg of this upper or lower flange or this side wall connected to the leg and running in the direction of the longitudinal extension of the element, is accommodated, so that the edge area of the longitudinal edge of the side wall or the lateral edge of the upper or lower flange and the legs of the upper or lower belt or the side wall overlap each other.
  • the edge area accommodated in the groove is connected to the groove via at least one form-fitting connection, the form-fitting connection being formed by joint plastic deformation of at least one of the legs of the groove and of the edge area accommodated in the groove.
  • Such a groove facilitates the assembly of the element according to the invention, since the longitudinal edges of the side walls can be positioned more precisely on the lateral edges of the upper and lower belt.
  • the legs of the groove are pressed on both sides against the edge area accommodated in the groove, so that a non-positive, in particular frictional, connection is formed between the groove and the edge area accommodated in the groove.
  • connection offers the possibility that the element according to the invention can be moved before the form-fitting connections are formed without the element running the risk of falling apart.
  • edge area is connected to the leg(s) via several form-fitting connections, with at least two of the connections being identical and/or at least two of the connections being different.
  • the form-fitting connections are formed by joint plastic deformation of the leg (or at least one of the legs) and the edge area.
  • connections can be made in the same way. However, some or all of the connections can also be made in different ways.
  • the presence of differently made connections leads, for example, to a stronger and more stable cohesion between the side walls and the bottom chord or top chord if suitable connections are made for differently acting forces or loads.
  • a particularly durable connection can be created by combining connections that have a high fatigue strength with connections that can absorb higher peak forces.
  • the form-fitting connection is formed by jointly pressing the edge region and the leg(s) over a large area.
  • large-area pressing is understood to mean, for example, a fold connection.
  • an indentation running in the direction of the longitudinal extent is produced in the leg, with the indentation extending at least into one plane of the edge region overlapping the leg, so that the edge region overlapping the leg prevents movement on the leg running transversely to the longitudinal extent is fixed.
  • connection existing between the side walls and the upper chord or lower chord over longer sections, in particular essentially over the entire length of the element, can be produced relatively easily by such plastic deformation.
  • the form-fitting connection or, if appropriate, at least one of the form-fitting connections is formed by common small-area pressing, preferably clinching, between the edge region and the leg(s).
  • small-area pressing is understood to mean, for example, the process of clinching.
  • the small-area pressing is a clinching with a round stamp, so that the form-fitting connection is a round depression connecting the edge region to the leg(s).
  • the small-area pressing prefferably be clinching with an angular stamp, so that the form-fitting connection is an angular depression connecting the edge region to the leg(s).
  • Such a connection is preferably cut on two opposite sides and particularly effectively prevents displacement of the edge region relative to the leg(s) transversely to the cut sides.
  • the element preferably has at least one cavity which is formed by the side walls and the upper chord and/or the lower chord.
