Abstract

Mounting bracket (1) for fixing a technical object on the structural element is a slot holding the structural element. The inner surface of the side wall of the slot (1) consists of two differently shaped surfaces (2 and 3), the first of which (2) has a shape of a lateral surface of semi-cylinder, and the other (3), opposite to the first one is a lateral surface of a truncated semi-cone, the base of which is located at the inlet of the slot. Generatrix of the first surface (2) and the opposite generatrix of the other surface (3) lie on the lines intersecting at an angle α. The wall of the bracket slot 1, the middle part of the first surface (2) of the wall and the middle part of the second surface (3) of the wall have holes (4 and 5) in which there are elements (6) fixing the position of the bracket (1) relative to the structural element. On both sides on the holes (4 and 5), on the first (2) and second surface (3) of the bracket slot wall (1), there are protrusions (40 and 50) extending along tangents to the wall surface of the bracket slot 1.

Description

  • The subject of the invention is a mounting bracket for the installation of technical equipment such as telecommunications devices, signalling devices, lighting fixtures, and in particular outdoor lighting fixtures mounted on poles, masts, arms, and other supporting structures.
  • Commonly used brackets for the installation of lighting fixtures on the street pole arm, which are an integral part of the lighting fixture or permanently fixed to the lighting fixture, have the shape of a sleeve with holes for the mounting screws on the perimeter. The bracket includes the tip of the arm of the lamp pole, having a cylindrical shape and is fixed by means of bolts screwed into the holes on the circumference of the bracket or additional locking screws. The described bracket limits the adjustment of the position of an integrated lighting fixture to a position set by the alignment of the lighting pole arm and the mounting bracket. The position of the lighting fixture can adjusted in a limited range by adjusting the depth of screws insertion on the perimeter of the bracket.
  • U.S. Patent US6561681 discloses a bracket intended for the installation of a garden lamp on a vertical rod in the ground. The lamp fixture is a transparent tube with an inner bulb unit located coaxially with the rod on which it is mounted. On the upper part of the rod there is a horizontal base on which two coaxial cylinders are fixed. In the space between the cylinders the lamp fixture is installed. The inner cylinder has a flexible protrusion on an outer surface, and the cylinder of the fixture has an opening in the bottom. When the fixture is inserted into the space between the cylinders, the protrusion on the inner cylinder is being coupled with the hole in the fixture. In this way the fixture is sufficiently secured to the bracket.
  • Sometimes it is desirable that the bracket allowed the installation of technical component on the structural element in at least two different positions. In case of construction of a street lighting installation, it is possible to install the lighting pole closer or further away from the lit up surface. Hence, the purpose of the invention was to design a mounting bracket which allows a precise position the integrated object in two different positions.
  • Mounting bracket according to the invention, integrated with a technical object or prepared for connection with a technical object is a slot for a structural element, in which the technical object is to be installed. The side wall of the slot is round and consists of two differently shaped surfaces, the first of which has a shape of a lateral surface of semi-cylinder, and the other, opposite to the first side is a lateral surface of a truncated semi-cone, the base of which is located at the inlet of the slot. Median generatrix of the first surface and the opposite generatrix of the other surface of the side wall of the bracket slot lie on the lines intersecting at an angle α. Construction element in the bracket slot partially adheres to the middle part of the first surface of the wall or the other, opposite surface of the slot wall. In the wall of the bracket, the middle part of the first wall surface and in the middle part of the second wall surface, along their generatrix, which are the contact points with the surface of the inserted construction element, there are holes, at least one hole on each wall surface of the slot, in which there are elements fixing the position of the bracket relative to the construction element, wherein generatrix of the first surface and an opposite generatrix of the other surface lie on the lines intersecting at an angle α. On both sides on the holes, on the first and second surface of the slot wall, there are protrusions extending along tangents to the wall surface of the bracket slot. The protrusions are the support fixing and stabilizing the position of the structural element adjacent to the slot wall. The bracket position is fixed by means of fixing elements inserted in the holes of the slot wall opposite to the contact surface of the structural element surface and the bracket slot wall. By pushing the retaining elements to the surface of the structural element the bracket is in the correct position, without any adjustment. Depending on whether the retaining elements are inserted into the holes located on the first sidewall surfaces of the bracket slot or into the holes in the other sidewall surface is the bracket slot, the bracket will be in one of two possible positions relative to the structural element. Thus, the bracket with the integrated technical object can change orientation in space by a predetermined angle α.
  • It is preferred that the holes in the first sidewall surface of the bracket slot and the holes in the other surface of the sidewall of the bracket slot are threaded and the retaining element is a screw.
  • It is preferred that the holes in the first sidewall surface of the bracket slot and the holes in the other surface of the sidewall of the bracket slot are located along the tangents to those surfaces.
  • The subject of this invention is described in detail on realization examples and on drawing in which fig. 1 shows a perspective view of the bracket slot, Fig. 2 shows a view of the bracket from the slot side with the marked line of sections shown on the next figures, Fig. 3 is a view of the bracket in cross-section along line AA, Fig. 2, with fixing elements in the holes in the first wall surface of the slot, Fig. 4 is a view of the bracket in cross-section along line AA, Fig. 2, with fixing elements in the holes in the second wall surface of the slot, Fig. 5 is a view of the bracket in cross-section along line AA, Fig. 2, with a structural element adjacent to the first wall surface of the slot, Fig. 6 is a view of the bracket in cross-section along line AA, Fig. 2, with a structural element adjacent to the second wall surface of the slot.
  • A sample bracket according to the invention shows the bracket for fixing the lighting fixture on the street pole arm. In the bracket body 1 integrated with the lighting fixture there is a slot, the side wall of which is formed by two differently shaped surfaces. The first surface 2 is formed by a semicylindrical lateral surface, while the other 3, opposite to the first one is formed by a lateral surface of a truncated semi-cone, the base of which is located at the inlet of the slot of bracket 1. The bracket 1 slot wall on the first surface of the side wall 2 and the other surface of the side wall 3 there are two threaded holes 4 and 5. Holes 4 lie on the generatrix of the first surface 2 of the side wall of the bracket slot 1, holes 5 lie on the generatrix of the second surface 3 of the side wall of the bracket slot 1. Generatrix with holes 4 and 5 lie on the lines intersecting at an angle α. On both sides of the holes 4 on the first surface 2 of the bracket slot wall 1, and on both sides of the holes 5 on the second surface 3 of the slot wall 1 there are protrusions 40 and 50 extending along tangents to the wall surface of the bracket slot 1. The protrusions are the support fixing and stabilizing the position of the bracket 1 relative to the arm B of the street lighting pole adjacent to the wall surface of the bracket slot 1 between the protrusions 40 or between the protrusions 50. Selected bracket position 1 relative to the arm B is fixed by tightening the screws 6 in holes 4 or 5. Because of the geometry of the internal wall of the bracket slot 1, tightening screws 6 in the selected pair of holes 4 or 5 causes the handle to find the correct position and does not require further adjustment. Depending on whether the screws 6 will be screwed into the holes 4 or holes 5, the bracket 1 and the integrated lighting fixture changes the orientation in space by a predetermined angle α.
