Description

SLIDING DOOR
The present invention relates to a sliding door of the type used for closing gates, such as for example shop entrances, shopping centers in general, railway stations, accesses to subways, airports, etc.
In particular, the present invention is applicable to automatic sliding doors for barriers that a significant number of people must cross.
The automatic sliding doors currently have a number of advantages, such as the convenience of access, as they allow easy access, for example to customers with shopping carts and people with bulky objects in their hands or who have a reduced motor capacity.
Moreover, they allow comfort and energy saving, opening only for the time necessary for the passage of people and having the certainty of the subsequent closure, they prevent the air conditioning produced (hot or cold) from escaping. These doors ensure security and access control, being able to limit burglary and entry to ill-intentioned or unauthorized persons. Finally, they allow limiting the so-called contact contamination, avoiding the transmission of bacteria through the contact on the handles and the doors themselves - e.g. internal manual doors of departments or bathrooms reserved to customers. Over the years, technologies have been developed to make these doors increasingly silent, easy to install, small and not very visible, reliable and safe.
In particular, the leaves are increasingly suitable for use and safe from the accident prevention point of view; they have small or sturdy profiles depending on the final application, are aesthetically appreciable and easy to assemble, install and transport.
In general, these doors have a frame or casing which is fixed on the door opening and then at least one fixed leaf and a sliding leaf which, when in a closed position, prevents access through the door opening and, when in an open position, substantially overlaps the fixed leaf leaving part of the door opening open. These doors are provided with motorised means to allow the sliding leaf and sensor means to detect the presence of persons or objects and to control opening, closing or blocking of the movable leaf.
The automatic entrance or passage is the point of greatest passage and visibility that users cross during their shopping or transit experience and is the first emotional contact with the supermarket, shopping center, airport, shop, pharmacy, doctor's office, company. The applicant has perceived that therefore the door itself can be an important means for exchanging information of various types such as the user who must cross the gate.
One aspect of the present invention relates to an automatic sliding door having the features of claim 1.
The characteristics and advantages of the present invention will become more apparent from the following description of an embodiment of the invention, provided by way of non-limiting example, with reference to the schematic attached drawings, wherein:
• figure 1 shows a front view of an automatic sliding door according to a first embodiment of the present invention;
• figure 2 shows a top view of the door of figure 1;
· figure 3 shows a front view of an automatic sliding door according to a second embodiment of the present invention;
• figure 4 shows a top view of the door of figure 3.
With reference to the above figures, the automatic door according to the present invention comprises a frame or casing 2 which is fixed on the door opening at least one fixed leaf 3, 3' and a sliding leaf 4, 4' which, when in a closed position, prevents access through the door opening and, when in an open position, substantially overlaps the fixed leaf leaving part of the door opening open. According to the present invention, at least one portion of a leaf comprises an electronic display device 5 for visual communications.
Preferably, this device is positioned on a fixed leaf. In the embodiments shown in figures 1-2, the door comprises a fixed leaf 3 and a moving leaf 4 and the device 5 is positioned on the fixed leaf. In figures 3-4, the door comprises two fixed lateral leaves 3 and 3' and two central moving leaves 4 and 4' which move in synchrony towards the outside to overlap the fixed ones. The device 5 is positioned on at least one (or both) of the fixed leaves.
The device is controlled by an electronic processing unit and is able to project predetermined information.
According to a feature of the present invention, the device 5 is interactive with the user passing through the door opening. In particular, the device can be provided with a video camera and can be provided with a "touch-screen" for interaction with the users. Moreover, the device can advantageously be of the type connected by radio (wi-fi) to a local network.
Furthermore, the device can include sensors for monitoring the environmental conditions to manage alarms such as presence of smoke, heat, etc.
Through the display of the present invention it is possible to provide a variety of information to the user. For example, if the door is installed at the entrance to a public office with counters, the display may be able to indicate the person or a reference to the person to be assisted. It can contain images and advertising videos and can visually communicate outside the function of the room(s) therein or the opening and closing times.
Furthermore, the interactive display is capable of analyzing and recognizing people by gender, ethnicity, mood, facial recognition and counting the flow of people crossing the passage.
The device preferably has a flat panel with sufficiently reduced thickness to be constrained to the leaves without preventing the correct operation of the automatic door.
If the sliding door is provided with a double-glazed structure, the panel can advantageously be inserted in the space between two panes.
