Description

A FLUSHING SYSTEM
Relevant Technical Field
The present invention relates to the flushing systems, which enable the cleaning bas as a sink to be cleaned, and to the cleaning basins comprising such flushing system.
Prior Art
In the areas such as a toilet room and bathroom where the personal cleaning is realized, there are present a cleaning basin (e.g. bathtub, sink, shower tray, etc.) and a faucet intended for the personal cleaning. The water obtained from a source such as a municipal water distribution network is delivered to the user via said faucet and the user fulfills his/her need for cleaning in said cleaning basin using the water coming from the faucet.
After the use for a certain period of time, the surface of said cleaning basin where the cleaning action takes place may become contaminated due to the wastewater generated after the cleaning. Moreover, the stains resulting from the water may also develop on said surface of the cleaning basin as the water obtained from the faucet is in contact with said surface. For this reason, it is necessary to clean said cleaning basins at intervals that are dependent upon the need. These cleaning operations are usually performed manually by way of dispersing a cleaning agent on said surface by the use of a tool like a sponge and cloth, and after the dispersion of the cleaning agent, the cleaning basin is enabled to be rinsed with the water flowing from the faucet.
However, the performance of the cleaning operation manually in this manner constitutes difficulty for the person who performs the cleaning operation, especially in the public areas dedicated to personal cleaning where it is required to maintain a high level of hygiene. Especially in the personal cleaning areas where the faucets are used that control the flow of water in a non-contact manner and where the soap flow, towel supply and even the opening of the doors are also controlled in a non-contact manner with a view to ensure hygiene, the performance of the cleaning operation for the cleaning basin manually reduces the hygiene quality that is aimed to be achieved. Moreover, in the cleaning basins where the flow of water is controlled in a non-contact manner, the cleaning may not be fully achieved due to the inability to manually control the flow of water; for example, the cleaning basin may remain dirty since it is not possible to enable the water to reach the dirt remaining on the upper surface of the cleaning basin. Brief Description of the Invention
The developed flushing system is suitable for use in a cleaning basin such as a sink and it comprises at least one rosette suitable for being positioned in said cleaning basin in such a way that one side thereof opens into the cleaning surface of the cleaning basin that is to be cleaned and that it enables a cleaning liquid to be delivered to said cleaning surface, said rosette comprising at least one hole for the delivery of the cleaning liquid to said cleaning surface; at least one transfer member, which is connected with said rosette and which enables the water received from a first source and the cleaning agent received from a second source to be mixed and to be delivered as a cleaning liquid to said cleaning surface of the cleaning basin by means of the rosette; and at least one activation member, which controls the delivery of the water from the first source to the transfer member.
Owing to the flushing system developed according to the present invention, a cleaning basin is enabled to be cleaned in a hand-free manner following the use thereof, thereby making it possible to improve the hygiene quality of the personal cleaning areas in an easy to use and practical way.

Detail
Description of the Invention
In the personal cleaning areas such as a toilet room and bathroom, there are present a cleaning basin, such as a sink, and a faucet, via which the water, received from a source, is delivered to a user, in order to enable the cleaning to be performed. The water obtained from the municipal water distribution network is delivered to the user via said faucet and the user fulfills his/her need for cleaning in the cleaning basin using the water received from said faucet. However, the cleaning basin may remain dirty following the personal cleaning especially in the public areas dedicated to personal cleaning where it is desired to maintain a high hygiene quality and this may in turn pose a problem from the perspective of health. When the cleaning basin remains dirty, it is required to manually clean the same with the help of a tool like cloth and sponge, which in turn reduces the hygiene quality in such personal cleaning areas. For this reason, a flushing system is developed according to the present invention, which enables the cleaning basins located in the personal cleaning areas to be cleaned automatically.
The flushing system developed according to the present invention is suitable for use in a cleaning basin (T) such as a sink, exemplary views of which are given in Figure 1, Figure 2 and Figure 6, wherein said flushing system comprises at least one rosette (R), exemplary views of which are given in Figure 3 and Figure 4, suitable for being positioned in said cleaning basin (T) in such a way that one side thereof is opened into the cleaning surface (T2) of the cleaning basin (T) that is to be cleaned and that it enables a cleaning liquid to be delivered to said cleaning surface (T2), said rosette (R) comprising at least one (preferably more than one) hole for the delivery of the cleaning liquid to said cleaning surface (T2); at least one transfer member (2), an exemplary view of which is given in Figure 5, which is connected with said rosette (R) and which enables, as shown in Figure 7 and Figure 8, the water received preferably via a first line (HI) from a first source (e.g. from a municipal water distribution network) and the cleaning agent received preferably via a second line (H2) from a second source (e.g. from a dispenser) to be mixed and to be delivered as a cleaning liquid to said cleaning surface (T2) of the cleaning basin (T) by means of the rosette (R); and at least one activation member (A), which controls the delivery of the water from the first source to the transfer member (2).
According to a representative embodiment of the invention, after the user has performed his/her personal cleaning in the cleaning basin (T), said activation member (A) is triggered (e.g. the user triggers said member with his/her hand with/without contact or said member is triggered automatically by measuring the distance of the user from the cleaning basin (T)) and the water received from the first source is enabled to reach the transfer member (2). Here, the water received from the first source is mixed with a cleaning agent (e.g. a detergent, disinfectant, etc.). The cleaning liquid, which is comprised by a water-cleaning agent mixture, exits the transfer member (2) to reach the rosette (R) and becomes dispersed on said cleaning surface (T2) of the cleaning basin (T) via the hole located on the part of the rosette (R) opening into the cleaning basin (T) in order to enable the cleaning surface (T2) to be cleaned following the use. Owing to the developed flushing system, the cleaning basins (T) are enabled to be flushed automatically without the need for a tool like sponge and cloth, thereby making it possible to improve the hygiene quality in the personal cleaning areas.
According to a preferred embodiment of the invention shown in Figure 2 and Figure 3, the rosette (R) included in the developed flushing system comprises at least one body (Rl) preferably with cylindrical form, which is connected on a first side thereof with said transfer member (2), allows the cleaning liquid to pass through itself and preferably has an outer surface with a threaded structure to enable easy mounting of the same to the cleaning basin (T); and at least one distribution piece (R2), which is connected with a second side of said body (Rl) and which enables the cleaning liquid passing through the body (Rl) to accumulate within itself and to be distributed onto said cleaning surface (T2) of the cleaning basin (T) via said hole located on the same. Said distribution piece (R2) preferably comprises at least one pool (la), into which said second side of the body (Rl) is opened and in which the cleaning liquid coming from the body accumulates, and at least one (preferably more than one) channel (lb) being positioned in said pool (la) and having one end connected with said hole and preferably another end connected with the second side of the body (Rl), wherein the cleaning liquid reaching the pool (la) passes through said channel to be delivered via the hole to said cleaning surface (T2) of the cleaning basin (T).
According to another preferred embodiment of the invention shown in Figure 5, said transfer member (2) comprises at least one first inlet (2a), which is connected with the first source preferably via said first line (HI) and into which the supply of water is provided; at least one liquid outlet (2b), which is connected with said body (Rl) for the delivery of the cleaning liquid therein to the rosette (R); at least one second inlet (2c), which is connected with said second source preferably via said second line (H2) and into which the cleaning agent is supplied; at least one vacuum application component (not shown in the figures) to enable the cleaning agent to be received from the second source; and at least one partition (2d), which is connected on one side thereof with the first inlet (2a), on one side thereof with the liquid outlet (2b) and on another side thereof with the second inlet (2c) and in which the water coming from the first inlet (2a) and the cleaning agent coming from the second inlet (2c) are mixed. In this way, the mounting of the developed flushing system to the cleaning basin (T) may be performed in an easy manner and the delivery of the water- cleaning agent mixture into the cleaning basin (T) may be provided in a practical manner. In said second inlet (2c), there is preferably present at least one dosage hole where the amount of the cleaning agent to be delivered into the partition (2d) may be adjusted.
Said flushing system preferably further comprises as said second source at least one reservoir (D), which is suitable for being positioned in a lower region of the cleaning basin (T) and which has at least one third inlet (Dl) that is accessible from the outside (e.g. positioned on a top surface of a bench where the cleaning basin (T) is present) so that the cleaning agent may be filled in said reservoir. In this way, it becomes possible to easily mount the developed flushing system also to the existing cleaning basins (T). According to another representative embodiment of the invention shown in the figures, the developed flushing system preferably comprises at least one valve (V) (preferably solenoid valve) (shown in Figure 7 and Figure 8) controlling the delivery of the water received from said first source to the transfer member (2) and therefore to the cleaning basin (T) and having an open position in which the delivery of water is enabled and a closed position in which the delivery of water is prevented, wherein said activation member (A) in this embodiment is a sensor, which controls the open/closed positions of said valve (V) and which is triggered in a non-contact manner to enable the valve (V) to assume the open position. In this embodiment, the developed flushing system further comprises at least one control unit, which is associated with said activation member (A) and which regulates the operation of the flushing system. Said control unit contains the information about the quantity of water (e.g. 0,5 liter, 1 liter) desired to be delivered to the cleaning basin in each flushing cycle and the periods (e.g. every time the triggering action is performed or after 5 uses) at which said flushing cycle is to take place. In this embodiment, the activation member (A) transmits the information about each use to the control unit and the control unit in turn compares such information with the stored data to enable the setting of the open/closed position of said valve (V) based on such comparison. In this way, it is possible to prevent the unnecessary use of the flushing system as well as precluding the unnecessary consumption of water.
According to another representative embodiment of the invention, said activation member (A) is a mechanical press button with a lower position and an upper position. When the button is pressed, the button moves downward to reach the lower position and permits the passage of the water from the first source to the transfer member (2). The button, which has assumed the lower position after the activation, then moves upward to reach the upper position and by this movement, it interrupts the flow of water to the transfer member (2). Owing to said up-down movement, the flow rate of the water received from the first source may be adjusted depending on the need.
According to another preferred embodiment, said activation member (A) is an open-close valve comprising at least one seal that is controlled by way of being rotated. The passage of water from the first source to the transfer member (2) is permitted upon said seal being rotated in one direction, whereas such passage is prevented upon the rotation of said seal in another direction. With the present invention, there is further developed a cleaning basin (T) comprising at least one flushing system with details provided above, a cleaning surface (T2) where the cleaning action takes place and at least one seat (T3) where the rosette (R) included in the flushing system is positioned (said seat (T3) and hence the rosette (R) may be positioned at the front section, rear section and/or side sections of the cleaning basin (T)). Said seat (T3) is preferably positioned such that a first predetermined distance (preferably 1 mm) is present between an upper side of the cleaning basin (T) and the rosette (R) and a second predetermined distance (preferably 40 mm) is present from the bottom of the rosette (R). The developed cleaning basin (T) comprises at least two flow channels (Tl), which are positioned in a way facing one another and which are connected with the hole located in the rosette (R) to enable the water coming out of the rosette (R) to become distributed over the entire cleaning surface (T2), wherein the ends of said flow channels (Tl) that are distant from the rosette (R) are joined together preferably in an inclined manner. Said flow channels (Tl) preferably have a structure that is inclined and that becomes narrow with increasing distance from the rosette (R). In this embodiment, the rosette (R) comprises at least two holes, one for each flow channel (Tl), and at least two channels (lb) connected with each hole. The water reaching the channels (lb) from the body (Rl) passes through the holes to the flow channels (Tl) and is distributed over the entire surface of the cleaning basin (T) via said flow channels (Tl). In this way, it becomes possible to ensure an effective realization of the flushing action in a hand-free manner, thereby achieving a reliable flushing system. In this embodiment, the cleaning basin (T) further preferably comprises a protrusion (T4), which is positioned on the cleaning surface (T2) at a certain distance (preferably 10 mm to 60 mm) from the upper part of the cleaning surface (T2) and which bears said flow channels (Tl). Owing to said protrusion (T4), the water may be enabled to circulate over the entire cleaning surface (T2).
Owing to the flushing system developed according to the present invention, a cleaning basin (T) is enabled to be cleaned in a hand-free manner following the use thereof, thereby making it possible to improve the hygiene quality of the personal cleaning areas in an easy to use and practical way.
