Abstract

The present invention relates to a hole cover (1) comprising at least one cap (2) which is at least in size of the hole it is covering and fits into the inlet of the hole, at least one stem (3) which enters into the hole, is smaller than the size of the hole, and one end of which is connected to the cap (2), at least two hooks (4) which protrude towards the edges of the hole from the other end of the stem (3), which bend in a concave way first towards the outlet of the hole and then in a convex way towards the edges of the hole, and which have the width to apply pressure on the edges of the hole while they are in the hole.

Description

A HOLE COVER
Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to hole covers which enable the holes made for connection holes to be covered and have aesthetic appearance.
Background of the Invention
The holes and the connecting pieces that are generally used in connection of plastic surface components with each other or with another part negatively affect the appearance and aesthetic of the said part. Various methods are used for covering these areas. One of these methods is to cover the hole with a cover.
The covers have a surface in the size of the hole, and have a surface such that it will be larger and cover the hole and hooks which enable it to hold onto the hole. These hooks enable the cover to be fixed in the hole by being stuck or expanding in the hole.
The said hooks can be deformed since they flex while entering and exiting the hole. They can break while being attached, and cause the cover to become unusable.
United States Patent document no US20130219798, an application known in the state of the art, discloses a plug for covering the holes. In order to easily remove the plug, the edges are removed by bending as in the figure, and the edges are released.
The Japanese patent document no JP2008224006, an application in the state of the art, discloses a water-proof plug. The plug has ends opening in both sides enabling the plug to remain attached. The United States patent document no US8162166, an application in the state of the art, discloses a plug for covering the holes.
Summary of the Invention
The objective of the present invention is to provide a hole cover which enables the holes made for connection holes to be covered and have aesthetic appearance.
Another objective of the present invention is to provide a hole cover design which is resistant against deformations occurring during attachment into the holes.
Detailed Description of the Invention
A hole cover developed to fulfill the objectives of the present application is illustrated in the accompanying figures, wherein Figure 1 is the top view of the cover hole.
Figure 2 is the top view of the hole cover wherein the stem and the hooks are connected with single bridge.
Figure 3 is the cross-sectional view of the hole cover bridges wherein the stem and the hooks are connected with single bridge.
Figure 4 is the cross-sectional view of the hole cover bridges wherein the stem and the hooks are connected with two bridges.
Figure 5 is the top view of the hole cover wherein the hooks are connected with single bridge.
Figure 6 is the cross-sectional view of the hole cover bridges wherein the hooks are connected with single bridge.
Figure 7 is the cross-sectional view of the hole cover bridges wherein the hooks are connected with two bridge.
The components shown in the figures are each given reference numbers as follows:
1. Hole cover 2. Cap
3. Stem
4. Hook
5. Bridge
A hole cover (1) comprises
- at least one cap (2) which is at least in size of the hole it is covering and fits into the inlet of the hole,
- at least one stem (3) which enters into the hole, is smaller than the size of the hole, and one end of which is connected to the cap (2),
- at least two hooks (4) which protrude towards the edges of the hole from the other end of the stem (3), which bend in a concave way first towards the outlet of the hole and then in a convex way towards the edges of the hole, and which have the width to apply pressure on the edges of the hole while they are in the hole.
By means of the corrugated hook structure, the deformation resistance and flexing ability of the hole cover (1) is improved. By this means, a hook (4) design that does not break even in case of a plurality of attaching, nailing is provided.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the hooks (4) are connected to the stem (3) from a point close to their center via the bridges (5) allowing the movement of the hooks by flexing in order to increase the resistance of the hooks (4). The said bridges (5) can be one or more than one for each one of the hooks (4).
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the hooks (4) are connected to each other from a point close to their center via the bridges (5) allowing the movement of the hooks by flexing in order to increase the resistance of the hooks (4). The said bridges (5) can be one or more than one for each hook (4) pair.
