- Electrical cooking appliances such as cooking ovens are commonly known in the art. A cooking oven generally comprises: a housing which comprises a cavity for cooking the food; an electrical resistance heater for heating the cavity, wherein the electrical resistance heater comprises one or more electric wires; and an electrical connection device which comprises: a socket which comprises one or more stationary terminals for the electrical connection through welding with the respective ends of the electric wires of the electrical resistance heater; and a plug which comprises two or more releasable terminals for releasable connection with the stationary terminals of the socket respectively.
- EP0957661 (A2) discloses an electrical cooking appliance.
- A problem with the prior art electrical cooking appliance is that the production and assemblage of the electrical connection device incurs comparatively high costs both in terms of material and labor. In particular the ends of the electric wires of the electrical resistance heater are generally not correctly aligned, and thus the assembly operator encounters difficulties in assembling the electrical connection device with the electrical resistance heater.
