Claims (7)

  1. A device (7) for protecting an air inlet or outlet screen (6) of a platform, such as a vehicle, against projections of liquids, the device comprising at least one frame (8) surrounding the screen (6) and forming a depression (8b), the frame comprising an upper rim located above the plane of the screen (6), characterised in that above the frame, a flexible structure (9) is positioned comprising a nonflammable or flame-proofed flexible panel (9a) that is fastened to the frame (8) and extends from a first side (81) of the frame to a second side (82) of the frame that is parallel to the first side (81), this panel being positioned in a position deployed above the screen (6) and at a distance therefrom, the panel delimiting two side openings (10) allowing the passage of air.
  2. The device for protecting an air inlet or outlet screen according to claim 1, characterised in that each opening (10) is partially closed off at its base by a strip (11) that extends above a third (83), or respectively fourth (84), side of the frame (8).
  3. The device for protecting an air inlet or outlet screen according to claim 2, characterised in that the flexible panel (9a) has a width (L1) at its apex that is smaller than its width (L2) at the frame (8), such that, in the deployed position, the side openings (10) appear to be located at inclined side planes (13a,13b).
  4. The device for protecting an air inlet or outlet screen according to claim 3, characterised in that each opening (10) includes, positioned above the strip (11), a screen (12) secured to the flexible panel (9a).
  5. The device for protecting an air inlet or outlet screen according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that it includes a resilient armature (14) that keeps the panel (9a) in the deployed position.
  6. The device for protecting an air inlet or outlet screen according to claim 5, characterised in that the resilient armature (14) includes at least two arches (14a,14b), each of which is fastened at the edge of an opening, as well as at least one flexible rod (15) positioned between the arches (14a,14b).
  7. The device for protecting an air inlet or outlet screen according to claim 5, characterised in that the resilient armature (14) includes at least two crossed arches (14a,14b) each extending from an edge of one opening to the edge of the other opening.
