-
DE-A-102013115006 andDE-A-1993440 each discloses a respective faucet comprising a respective coupling unit having a relative first portion and a relative second portion being releaseably connected to one another. The respective first portion and the respective second portion are rotatable with respect to one another. Each faucet also comprises a respective locking mechanism comprising a respective groove associated to the respective second portion and a respective ball or stick associated to the respective first portion so as to lock the respective second and the respective first portion to one another. Each locking mechanism is constructed such that a force into the vertical direction must be exerted on the respective second portion for overcoming the locking force exerted by means of the respective locking mechanism. -
US-B-6425149 discloses a faucet having an outlet tube and an extension tube connected to the outlet tube by means of a connection device. The connection device comprises a first portion and a second portion being releasably connected to one another. While the first portion is coupled to the outlet tube, the second portion is coupled to the extension tube. The connection device also comprises a locking mechanism for locking the first portion and the second portion to one another. The locking mechanism comprises a plurality of notches associated to the second portion and a ball configured to engage into one of the notches and being associated to the first portion. - The invention is directed to a rotating mechanism for a faucet according to
claim 1. - Further, the elongated key comprises a long rod accommodated in the rotating member and a key arranged on the outer surface of the rotating member and detachably mounted with the rotating member.
- Further, a protrusion is provided on a surface of the mounting base abutted with the rotating member, and a sliding chute for the protrusion to slide is provided on a surface of the rotating member abutted with the mounting base.
- A faucet using the rotating mechanism includes a faucet body and a faucet base, wherein the faucet base comprises a faucet switch and the rotating mechanism, and the faucet body is fixedly connected with the rotating member.
- The invention has the beneficial effects that: the faucet fixed on the rotating member can rotate along with rotation of the rotating member around the mounting base, the limiting device is arranged on the mounting base to fix the rotating member rotating to a certain position, thereby solving the problem that the faucet cannot be fixed due to loosening.
- The invention will be further illustrated below in connection with the drawings and embodiments.
-
FIG. 1 is an exploded view of an embodiment of a faucet according to the present invention; -
FIG. 2 is a structural schematic diagram of a limiting device of the faucet viewed from one angle; and -
FIG. 3 is a structural schematic diagram of the limiting device ofFigure 2 viewed from another angle. - With reference to
FIG. 1 to FIG. 3 , a rotating mechanism of the invention comprises amounting base 3 fixedly connected onto a working table and a rotatingmember 4 rotationally connected with themounting base 3, wherein afaucet body 1 is fixedly connected with the rotatingmember 4, and themounting base 3 is provided with a limiting device for fixing the position of the rotatingmember 4. - In use, the rotating
member 4 rotates around themounting base 3, the limiting device is arranged on themounting base 3, and the rotatingmember 4, which rotates to a certain position can be fixed, so as to solve a problem that the rotatingmember 4 cannot be fixed due to loosening. - Preferably, the limiting device comprises a limiting
round ball 11 arranged between the rotatingmember 4 and themounting base 3 and anelastic member 12 abutted with the limitinground ball 11, wherein themounting base 3 is provided with anelongated guide hole 13 for accommodating theelastic member 12 and the limitinground ball 11, and the rotatingmember 4 is provided with agroove 18 matched with the limitinground ball 11 in shape. - Preferably, the
elastic member 12 comprises a spring, which rotates along with the rotatingmember 4. When thegroove 18 is in a position opposite to theelongated guide hole 13, the limitinground ball 11 will be abutted with thegroove 18 under the action of theelastic member 12, thus fixing the rotatingmember 4. By effectively enabling the limitinground ball 11 to be abutted with a bottom surface of thegroove 18, a better limiting effect on the rotatingmember 4 is achieved. - The rotating
member 4 is provided with a plurality ofgrooves 18 at intervals along the circumference. By providing the plurality ofgrooves 18, the rotatingmember 4 can be fixed at a plurality of positions, thus enabling the rotatingmember 4 to stay at a plurality of different positions. - Preferably, in this embodiment, two
grooves 18 are provided. The rotatingmember 4 is provided with an elongated key abutted with thelimiting round ball 11, and the bottom of at least one of thegrooves 18 is pierced by a through hole for accommodating the elongated key. - In this embodiment, preferably, the
groove 18 comprises a first groove provided with a through hole and a second groove having a depth smaller than that of the first groove. The elongated key is accommodated in the through hole. By arranging the elongated key, which can be abutted with the limitinground ball 11, a user can push and press the elongated key during use to remove the limitinground ball 11 abutted within the first groove so as to achieve an effect that the rotatingmember 4 is not fixed by the limitinground ball 11. - Since the depth of the second groove abutted with the limiting
round ball 11 is smaller than that of the first groove, the user can remove the limitinground ball 11 from the second groove only by a large torsion, which facilitates use by the user. - Preferably, the elongated key comprises a
long rod 15 accommodated in the rotatingmember 4 and akey 14 arranged on an outer surface of the rotatingmember 4 and detachably mounted with the rotatingmember 4. By separating the elongated key into two portions and arranging one portion inside the rotatingmember 4, the problem that the faucet cannot continue to work due to loss of the elongated key can be effectively prevented, and thekey 14 arranged outside the rotatingmember 4 can be detachably mounted with the rotatingmember 4, which is convenient to replace. - Preferably, the
long rod 15 has a diameter greater than that of thekey 14, so that thelong rod 15 does not come out of the rotatingmember 4 during use, thereby facilitating use. A boss is provided at the top of thekey 14; and a recess, which can accommodate the boss is provided at an upper portion of the rotatingmember 4. The abutment of the boss with the recess prevents thekey 14 from falling into the rotatingmember 4. - Preferably, a
protrusion 16 is provided on a surface of themounting base 3, which is abutted with the rotatingmember 4, and asliding chute 17 for theprotrusion 16 to slide is provided on a surface of the rotatingmember 4, which is abutted with themounting base 3. With the rotation of the rotatingmember 4, theprotrusion 16 moves in thesliding chute 17, thus effectively limiting a travel of the rotatingmember 4. - A faucet using the rotating mechanism comprises a
faucet body 1 and a faucet base, wherein the faucet base includes afaucet switch 2 and the rotating mechanism, and thefaucet body 1 is fixedly connected with the rotatingmember 4. - In use, the faucet fixed on the rotating
member 4 can rotate along with rotation of the rotatingmember 4 around themounting base 3. When thegroove 18 is in a position opposite to theelongated guide hole 13, the limitinground ball 11 will be abutted with thegroove 18 under the action of theelastic member 12, thus fixing rotatingmember 4. By effectively enabling the limitinground ball 11 to be abutted with the bottom surface of thegroove 18, the problem that faucet cannot be fixed due to loosening is solved. - The above specific structure and size data is used to specifically illustrate a preferred embodiment of the invention, but the invention is not limited to the embodiments. Those skilled in the art can make various equivalent variations or replacements without departing from the present invention, and those equivalent variations or replacements shall all fall within the scope defined by the claims.
