Claims (11)
- Method for authenticating a document (D), the document (D) being provided with a window (0) that is at least partially closed off by a transparent film (F) bearing a mark (M), the method being implemented by way of an image sensor (110) connected to an image-processing computing unit (120), and comprising the following steps:- driving the image sensor (110) so as to successively capture a first image of the document (D) and a second image of the document (D) while presenting a random dynamic background behind the window (O), the background presented behind the window (O) during the capture of the second image being different from the background presented behind the window (O) during the capture of the first image; and- driving the processing unit (120) so as to verify that the background visible within the window (O) in the second image corresponds to an expected background different from the background visible in the first image and verify that the mark (M) is visible within the window (O).
- Method according to Claim 1, the random dynamic background being obtained by moving the document (D) in front of its environment between a first position and a second position, the first image being captured when the document (D) is in its first position and the second image being captured when the document (D) is in its second position.
- Method according to Claim 2, at least one of the images being captured on-the-fly.
- Method according to Claim 1, comprising the step of driving the processing unit (120, 220) so as to:- detect, in one of the images, characteristic points of the document (D) and deduce therefrom a type of document (D),- depending on the type of document (D), locate a position of the window (O) of the document (D) in the image in order to detect the background therein.
- Method according to Claim 1, wherein the processing unit (120, 220) commands a background presentation device for presenting a background behind the document (D) and the dynamic background is the result of the presentation device being driven by way of control parameters selected from a library of backgrounds, and wherein the selection is random.
- Method for authenticating a document (D), the document (D) being provided with a window (O) that is at least partially closed off by a transparent film (F) bearing a mark (M), the method being implemented by way of an image sensor (210) connected to an image-processing computing unit (220), and comprising the following steps:- driving the image sensor (210) so as to capture at least one image of the document (D) while presenting a dynamic background; and- driving the processing unit (220) so as to verify that the background visible within the window (O) in the image corresponds to an expected background and verify that the mark (M) is visible within the window (O), wherein the dynamic background is obtained by projecting a predetermined animated sequence behind the window (O) of the document (D), the projection and the image capture being synchronized such that the expected background is able to be determined on the basis of the capture time.
- Method according to any one of the preceding claims, comprising a step of commanding an illumination device so as to illuminate the document (D) during the capture of the images.
- Method according to Claim 7, comprising the step of commanding the illumination device so as to modify an illumination wavelength between two image captures.
- Method according to Claim 8, wherein the background has a different response to the illumination wavelengths used for the two image captures.
- Method for validating a transaction between a server and a terminal that are connected to a network, the terminal comprising an image sensor (110, 210), the method comprising the following steps:- connecting the terminal to the server via the network;- asking the terminal to initiate authentication of a document (D) provided with a window (O) that is at least partially closed off by a transparent film (F) bearing a mark (M), the authentication being carried out in accordance with the method according to any one of the preceding claims;- validating the transaction if the authentication is positive.
- Device comprising an image sensor (110, 210) connected to a processing unit (120, 220) programmed to implement a method according to any one of the preceding claims.
