Abstract

Compact Wheels-to-Cycle Alignment Device comprised primarily of a rigid structure that bouses Alignment Aperture 4. The device is mounted to the cycle at a designated location with the Alignment Aperture 4 positions over the central seam of the wheels. Any necessary adjustments are made to the cycle to ensure the Alignment Arrow/Gauge 5 runs in a straight line along the central plane of the wheel. The device is mounted on the cycle at designated points such as has handlebar, handlebar stem, saddle rail, seat post or any other convenient position on the cycle frame using hooks or any other appropriate mounting mechanism that can ensure the device does not move independent of the cycle.

Description

The invention relates to YVhee-s-t©*£ de alignment.
The following section is a detailed explanation of a preferred embojliment of the invention with reference to the following graphical illustrations.
P1GURE l shows a perspective view of the invention.
FIGURE.2 shows the invention, from the top view with a front wheel an^ handlebar to demonstrate usage of the invention,
FIGURE 3 shows the invention attached to the Saddle Adapter component- FIGURE shows the Saddle Adapter component.
FIGURE 5 shows the invention in use with the Saddle Adapter to align jrlie rear wheel and Saddle with the frame.
As shown in Figure 1, the Wheels-to-Cyele alignment device comprises of a rigid casing with a pair Handlebar Hooks 1 at one end of the device.
The Handlebar Hooks l can accommodate a range of handlebar circumference.
To achieve accurate alignment, the device is attached to the handlebar as shown in Figure 2 using the Handlebar Hooks i The central plane of the d nee is aligned with the central axis of the stem. Since Steins have standart-dzed options for face-plate width, the device can be created with a set width between the Arm* 2 or the device could be created in a way that allows the width between die Anns 2 to I e adjusted.
If the front wheel has gone through the process of ensuring it is running! straight along its axle, the central plane of the wheel will rim parallel to the centra! axis of the handlebar stem. Once the device is aligned with the handlebar stem, tire front wheel can tfaetk be aligned by ensuring the Alignment Arrows/Gauge 5 run akm the central plane of the tyre when die tyre is viewed directly from abene through the Alignment Aperture 4. Majority of tyres have a visible seam mat is the central plane and the joining point of a properly manufactured cycle tyre.
The Alignment Aperture 4 ma be magnified usin a suitable lens, thereby providing the user with a magnified view of the Tyre seam when in use,
The Alignment Arrows/Gauge 5 may be substituted with a single line/needle running across the Alignment Aperture 4.
The device can be used to align the rear wheel y first aligning the saddle with the frame aticd the aligning fe rear whed, using the aligned saddle as a reference point. Figure 5 shows the device used to align the saddle and rear wheel.

Claims
