  • the zipper slider 35 is then manually pulled downward in the direction indicated at arrow 42 in Figure 7, such that the internal Y-shaped channel causes the complementary teeth to mesh together and interlock.
  • the second zipper slider 36 of fashion strip 1 1 is applied to the insertion pin 23B at the lead (bottom) end 21 of the second series of zipper teeth 14 formed with the garment leg 15— as demonstrated at arrow 43.
  • the zipper slider 36 is then manually pulled upward in the direction indicated at arrow 44 in Figure 9, such that the internal Y- shaped channel causes the complementary teeth to mesh together and interlock.
  • the fashion strip 1 1 is completely attached when the zipper slider 36 reaches the top end of the garment leg 15, as shown in Figures 1 and 4.
  • the fashion strip 1 1 may be readily detached from the garment leg 15 in a reverse manner, as the manual zipper sliders 35, 36 separate the interlocked zipper teeth when pulled in the directions opposite that described above.
  • the exemplary garment 10 may comprise only a single fashion strip on one garment leg, or may comprise multiple fashion strips on one garment leg, or may comprise one or more fashion strips on both garment legs.

  • the zipper slider 95 of fashion strip 71 is first applied to the insertion pin 83A at the lead (top) end 81 of the first series of zipper teeth 72 formed with the garment leg 75. The zipper slider 95 is then manually pulled downward towards the bottom hem, such that the internal Y-shaped channel causes the complementary teeth 72, 93 to mesh together and interlock.
  • the second zipper slider 96 of fashion strip 71 is applied to the insertion pin 83B at the lead (top) end 81 of the second series of zipper teeth 74 formed with the garment leg 75. The zipper slider 96 is then manually pulled downward towards the bottom hem, such that the internal Y-shaped channel causes the complementary teeth 74, 94 to mesh together and interlock.
  • the fashion strip 71 is completely attached when the zipper slider 96 reaches the bottom end of the garment leg 75, as shown in Figure 12.
  • the fashion strip 71 may be readily detached from the garment leg 75 in a reverse manner, as the manual zipper sliders 95, 96 separate the interlocked zipper teeth when pulled in the directions opposite that described above.
