Definitions
- the invention relates to an arrangement with an electrical contact element according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
- Such an arrangement is, for example, a cartridge arranged in the steering wheel of a motor vehicle, in which an electrical flat conductor ribbon cable running in turns - referred to below as "FL-BL" for short - is attached.
- FL-BL electrical flat conductor ribbon cable running in turns -
- Such a cassette equipped with a stator and a rotor serves, for example, for the contactless transmission of electric current and data within the motor vehicle.
- electrical consumers are, for example, the trigger for an airbag or a steering wheel heating.
- the arranged between the stator and rotor, in turns FL-BL can be wound according to the balance of a clock or with a reversal point with opposite winding direction.
- the FL-BL is fixed at one end to the stator of the cassette and at its other end to the rotor thereof.
- the flat conductors of the FL-BL must be connected at both ends to continuative lines. For this purpose, suitable contact elements are needed.
- JP 2012 216457 A discloses a connector for transmitting electrical power between an electrical device through a plurality of pins and a ribbon cable and end connectors provided in the region of the free ends of the ribbon cable. An offset of the flat conductor ribbon cables by 90 ° when connecting to the connector is still not possible with this device. A variable connection direction of the connector is not provided.
- the ends of the FL-BL are folded so that they protrude from the FL-BL at a 90 ° angle.
- the end portions of the FL-BL are embedded with the folded locations in a syringe-formed insulator and the insulators are pivotally mounted with the embedded ends of the FL-BL in a housing housing the FL-BL.
- Above the folded ends of the FL-BL is in each case a prefabricated, approximately L-shaped molded body made of a mechanically stable insulating material with flat walls and U-shaped cross-section attached, which is at least partially surrounded by the insulating body. At both ends of the FL-BL, their flat conductors are therefore bent or bent by 90 °.
- the L-shaped moldings are provided. At the ends of the flat conductor mounted contact elements are at an angle of 90 ° from the FL-BL.
- the invention has for its object to make the arrangement described above so that the flat conductor of the FL-BL can be connected directly to electrical contact elements in two different directions, without deforming the flat conductor. This object is achieved according to the characterizing features of claim 1.
- the two flat conductors of a FL-BL or two flat conductors can be connected with a straight course. They only need to be freed at the end of the FL-BL to a sufficient length of insulating material. Thereafter, the flat conductors can be placed on the exposed in the openings of the insulator body plates of the two pins and connected to the same electrically conductive, for example, welded. It is possible to position the two flat conductors so that they are in the direction of the pins of the Run contact element. The pins then represent extensions of the flat conductors. However, it is also possible to position the flat conductors on the contact element in such a way that they extend at 90 ° to the pins.
- the pins then terminate at an angle of 90 ° from the end of a FL-BL.
- the contact element is therefore usable for both variants of the connection to the flat conductor of a FL-BL without any change.
- the flat conductors and in particular their ends are not deformed for connection to the contact element, in particular must not be kinked.
- the plates of the two pins have a different geometric shape. But they are designed so that they can be arranged in a plane next to each other and then isolated against each other form a continuous surface.
- Fig. 1 are two pins 1 and 2 of an electrical contact element K ( Fig. 2 ), each having an extension made in the form of a plate 3 or 4, respectively.
- Pens 1 and 2 and Plates 3 and 4 are advantageously made of copper or a copper alloy.
- the two plates 3 and 4 have two flat, mutually parallel flat sides. You have accordingly Fig. 1 different geometric shapes, but fit together so that the two plates 3 and 4 can be joined together to form a continuous surface. In this sense, the two plates 3 and 4 according to Fig. 1 separated by an air gap 5, arranged side by side in a plane so that the pins 1 and 2 are parallel to each other.
- the pins 1 and 2 can according to the graphic representation in the plane of the plates 3 and 4, each projecting from one of them.
- the plates 3 and 4 are embedded in an insulating body 6 produced by injection molding.
- the insulating body 6 consists for example of polybutylene terephthalate.
- the pins 1 and 2 are not enclosed on a substantial length of the material of the insulating body 6.
- the material of the insulating body 6 penetrates during the injection process in the air gap 5, so that the two plates 3 and 4 are insulated from each other.
- the two flat conductors 10 and 11 of a FL-BL 12, from the in Fig. 5 only one end is shown schematically, are parallel and spaced apart embedded in an insulation. They can be connected to the plates 3 and 4 of the contact element K in two different ways, as follows:
- the flat conductors 10 and 11 are intended to extend in the direction of the pins 1 and 2.
- the flat conductor 10 are placed in the opening 7 on the plate 3 and the flat conductor 11 in the opening 9 on the plate 4. That's through in Fig. 3 indicated arrows indicated, which are identified according to the reference numbers of the flat conductor.
- the two flat conductors 10 and 11 are then electrically connected to the respective plate 3 and 4, for example, welded with advantage.
- the plates 3 and 4 exposed openings are also provided with advantage on the rectangular openings 7, 8 and 9 opposite flat side of the insulator 6, in height of rectangular openings 7, 8 and 9. electrodes a welding device can then be applied on the one hand to the plates 3 and 4 in the mentioned openings and on the other hand to the resting on the rectangular openings 7, 8 and 9 flat conductor.
- the same can be inserted through a slot 14 which is mounted in the insulating body 6.
- the slot 14 is open to the outside and in the region of the opening 7 to the plate 3.
- the flat conductor 11 can be analogous to Fig. 3 be pushed back through a slot 15 in the insulating body 6, which is open to the outside and in the region of the opening 8 to the plate 3. Again, the positioning of the flat conductor 10 and 11 is again indicated by correspondingly marked arrows.
- the contact element K can analogously to the procedure described for the FL-BL 12 also be used for a line consisting of two relatively wide, each having its own line (outgoing and return line) performing flat conductors 16 and 17.
- the two flat conductors 16 and 17 are in Fig. 6 shown separated from each other. They lie in a finished FL-BL with a sufficient length isolated from each other with their flat sides on each other.
- the two flat conductors 16 and 17 have at their ends tabs 18 and 19, which are formed by a punching operation and about half as wide as the flat conductors 16 and 17.
- the tabs 18 and 19 are for fixing the line, which contains the two superposed flat conductors 16 and 17, analogous to that for the FL-BL 12 after Fig. 5 described method in the openings 7, 8 and 9 with the plates 3 and 4 electrically connected.
- Fig. 7 are the two ends of an existing of the flat conductors 16 and 17 FL-BL shown, at each of which a contact element K after Fig. 2 is arranged, and at the end E1 with pointing in the direction of pins 1 and 2 and at the end E2 transverse thereto with protruding by 90 ° pins 1 and 2.

Description
The invention relates to an arrangement with an electrical contact element according to the preamble of
Such an arrangement is, for example, a cartridge arranged in the steering wheel of a motor vehicle, in which an electrical flat conductor ribbon cable running in turns - referred to below as "FL-BL" for short - is attached. Such a cassette equipped with a stator and a rotor serves, for example, for the contactless transmission of electric current and data within the motor vehicle. Corresponding, to be supplied with electricity electrical consumers are, for example, the trigger for an airbag or a steering wheel heating. The arranged between the stator and rotor, in turns FL-BL can be wound according to the balance of a clock or with a reversal point with opposite winding direction. The FL-BL is fixed at one end to the stator of the cassette and at its other end to the rotor thereof. The flat conductors of the FL-BL must be connected at both ends to continuative lines. For this purpose, suitable contact elements are needed.
In the following description, the arrangement for the use of equipped with two flat conductors FL-BL and for two FL-BLn is explained, each with a flat conductor, also representative of an arrangement with more than two flat conductors and correspondingly extended contact element.
To a contact element of this arrangement, the two flat conductors of a FL-BL or two flat conductors can be connected with a straight course. The pins then terminate at an angle of 90 ° from the end of a FL-BL. The contact element is therefore usable for both variants of the connection to the flat conductor of a FL-BL without any change. Of particular advantage is that the flat conductors and in particular their ends are not deformed for connection to the contact element, in particular must not be kinked.
The plates of the two pins have a different geometric shape. But they are designed so that they can be arranged in a plane next to each other and then isolated against each other form a continuous surface.
For the connection of the flat conductor to the plates of the contact element only three advantageously rectangular openings in the same insulating body needed because one of the openings for both of the above-described connection options can be used. It remains characterized a region of the insulator without opening. In this area, outwardly open slots may be attached, which extend to one of the plates and through which one end of each of the flat conductors can be passed.
An embodiment of the subject invention is shown in the drawings.
