Flachbandkabel (auch abgekürzt FFC genannt: "Flexible Flat Cable") finden in moderner Elektronik eine weit verbreitete Anwendung. Bei einem Flachbandkabel verlaufen mehrere Leiter parallel zueinander entlang einer durch die Leiter definierten gemeinsamen Ebene. Die Leiter sind jeweils von einem Isoliermaterial umgeben und bilden dadurch ein breites, planares Kabel. Aufgrund dieser besonderen Geometrie des Kabels sind entsprechende Kabelbuchsen entworfen worden, um diese Kabel mit z.B. Leiterplatten effizient zu verbinden. Der sichere Sitz eines solchen Kabels muss hierbei selbst für anspruchsvolle Anwendungsgebiete gewährleistet werden. In dieser Hinsicht wurden Verbindungssysteme entwickelt, die einen besonders sicheren Sitz des Kabels in der Kabelbuchse gewährleisten sollen. Claims (9)
- A plug-in apparatus (40) for an end portion of a flat ribbon cable (20) for creating a plug connection with a connector receptacle (30), comprising:the end portion of the flat ribbon cable (20);at least two cable holding elements (41) which are configured to come into engagement with receptacle holding elements (31) of the connector receptacle (30),wherein the at least two cable holding elements (41) are configured on opposite sides of the end portion of the flat ribbon cable (20),wherein the at least two cable holding elements (41) have latching noses (43) which point in opposite directions to one another,wherein the plug-in apparatus (40) comprises a fastening apparatus (42) which is designed to fasten the end portion of the flat ribbon cable (20) in the plug-in apparatus (40),wherein the end portion of the flat ribbon cable (20) has a stiffening plate (21) with stiffening plate holding elements (22), andwherein the fastening apparatus (42) and the stiffening plate holding elements (22) are designed to come into engagement with one another,characterized in thatthe latching noses (43) point toward a cable axis of the flat ribbon cable (20).
- A connector system (10) for receiving an end portion of a flat ribbon cable (20), comprising:a connector receptacle (30) which is designed to receive the end portion of the flat ribbon cable (20),wherein the connector receptacle (30) comprises at least two receptacle holding elements (31); anda plug-in apparatus (40) according to Claim 1.
- The connector system (10) according to Claim 2, wherein the at least two cable holding elements (41) are arranged at lateral ends of the end portion of the flat ribbon cable (20) along a direction which is vertical to a plug-in direction (E) and to a normal (N) of a plane defined by the flat ribbon cable (20).
- The connector system (10) according to any one of the preceding Claims 2 or 3, wherein the plug-in apparatus (40) at least partially encloses the end portion of the flat ribbon cable (20).
- The connector system (10) according to any one of the preceding Claims 2 to 4, wherein the end portion of the flat ribbon cable (20) is detachably fastened by the fastening apparatus (42) of the plug-in apparatus (40).
- The connector system (10) according to any one of the preceding Claims 2 to 5, wherein the at least two cable holding elements (41) in engagement with the at least two receptacle holding elements (31) fix the end portion of the flat ribbon cable (20) in a plug position in the connector receptacle (30).
- The connector system (10) according to Claim 6, wherein the end portion of the flat ribbon cable (20) is detachably fixed in the plug position in the connector receptacle (30).
- The connector system (10) according to any one of the preceding Claims 2 to 7, wherein the connector receptacle (30) comprises at least one protrusion (32) which is designed to enclose the plug-in apparatus (40) in a plug position at least partially.
- A method for receiving an end portion of a flat ribbon cable (20), which has a stiffening plate (21) with stiffening plate holding elements (22), comprising:providing a connector receptacle (30) for receiving the end portion of the flat ribbon cable (20), comprising at least two receptacle holding elements (31);providing a plug-in apparatus (40) for the end portion of the flat ribbon cable (20), comprising at least two cable holding elements (41) which are configured on opposite sides of the end portion of the flat ribbon cable (20), and wherein the at least two cable holding elements (41) have latching noses (43) which point in opposite directions to one another, wherein the latching noses (43) point toward a cable axis of the flat ribbon cable (20),fastening the end portion of the flat ribbon cable (20) in the plug-in apparatus (40) by means of a fastening apparatus (42) of the plug-in apparatus (40), wherein the fastening comprises bringing the fastening apparatus (42) and the stiffening plate holding elements (22) into engagement with one another; andfixing the end portion of the flat ribbon cable (20) in the connector receptacle (30), wherein the at least two receptacle holding elements (31) and the at least two cable holding elements (41) are brought into engagement.
