Definitions
- the present invention relates to a cap for a container neck according to the preamble of claim 1.
- the invention relates generally to plugs, typically made of plastic, which comprise a tubular skirt, designed to surround the neck of a container to be plugged, and removably attach to it by jamming with less an inner clip of this skirt with a protruding boss outside the collar.
- plugs are generally called “snap” plugs. They are also sometimes called clipped caps.
- US 2013/0161327 discloses a cap according to the preamble of claim 1, comprising an annular uncoupling strip to facilitate the opening of a plug "snape".
- a portion of this unblocking strip is permanently linked to the skirt of the cap by a hinge which makes it possible to tilt the unblocking strip between a position folded against the skirt and a deployed position vis-à-vis the skirt.
- the uncorking strip In the folded position, the uncorking strip is pressed horizontally against the upper end of the skirt, except for the last embodiment, in which the release strip surrounds the skirt: an upper part of the skirt, the outer diameter of which is smaller than that of a lower part of the skirt, remains radially distant from the unblocking strip, while the aforementioned lower part is gripped by the unblocking strip, while being connected to the lower end edge of the latter by the hinge.
- This solution makes it necessary to maintain the level of the lower end edge of the unblocking strip above that of the lower end edge of the skirt, the offset between these two levels permitting to accommodate the presence of the hinge. Therefore, the anti-sabotage security is low, in the sense that it is easy to use a sabotage tool to locally unclip the skirt, without damaging or moving the retaining strip in the folded position and the hinge.
- the purpose of the present invention is to provide a "snape" cap which, while being easy to manufacture and set up on a container neck, is both easy to open, even in the case where the cap incorporates ruptible means witnessing its first opening, and difficult to sabotage.
- the invention relates to a cap for a container neck, as defined in claim 1.
- One of the basic ideas of the invention is to integrate in a "snape" stopper a release ring that the user will be able to very easily grip manually, in particular by threading it around one or two of his fingers, to pull on the skirt to the "désnaper" of the neck, that is to say until the release of the collar by overcoming the resistance of its wedging around the neck.
- This uncoupling ring is formed by a loop-shaped band, closed on itself and non-fangibly bonded to the skirt only in a restricted zone of their respective periphery. As long as the band does not have to be used to open the cap, it is intended to remotely surround an outer side face of the skirt, if necessary by being connected thereto by frangible bridges, witnesses of the first opening .
- the band When the user wishes to unclog the stopper, he moves the band, in particular he tilts it, with respect to the skirt, by means of, if necessary, the breaking of the aforementioned frangible bridges and by means of the deformation of the non-frangible link connecting the skirt and the band, this link being made in the form of a strand projecting from the outer lateral face of the skirt.
- the displacement of the strip releases, vis-à-vis the skirt, the inside of the band to allow the user to enter manually and to jointly cause the band and the skirt to unclip the latter of the container neck.
- the plug according to the invention is thus particularly easy to open, even in the presence of ruptible means witnessing the first opening, this plug can also be easily reclipsed thereafter.
- the unblocking strip indirectly makes it possible to simplify the design of the container neck, which can thus be expected to be short and economical.
- the presence of the release strip on the outside of the skirt is of course compatible with arrangements internal to the skirt, relating to the sealing of the closure of the neck by the cap.
- the uncoupling strip in the folded position is arranged, at least for its portion connected to the skirt by the strand, at the axial level of the bottom of the skirt, the respective lower ends of the strip and the skirt being outcrop each other at least in their respective portion connected by the strand: the introduction of a sabotage tool at the base of the skirt, in order to locally unclip the latter in particular in its portion linked to the band by the strand, causes the deterioration of the strand and / or the band.
- the anti-sabotage security of the plug according to the invention is thus high.
- the discharge strip may advantageously have other anti-tampering arrangements, further limiting the risk of maliciously opening the cap without leaving a corresponding trace.
- the plug according to the invention is advantageously manufactured simply and economically, by molding a plastic material.
- This cap is also easily placed on a container neck to be closed, typically using high-speed gripping machines along bottling lines, these machines advantageously not having the constraint of having to grasp the stopper. in a specific angular orientation in the sense that these machines can grasp the upper end portion of the skirt, intended to be turned away from the container, cooperating with the circular outer profile of this end portion without being hindered by the presence of the unblocking tape.
- a plug 1 adapted to be fastened by clipping, removably, on a neck 2 of a container 3, the plug 1 being generally called "snape cap".
- the neck 2 is integral with the rest of the container 3, especially when the latter is a glass or plastic bottle as on the Figures 4 and 5 , or adapted to be permanently attached to a wall of the container, at an opening through this wall.
- the plug 1 and the neck 2 have generally tubular overall shapes, whose central longitudinal axes are substantially merged, under the reference XX, when the cap is fixed on the neck as on the Figures 4 and 5 .
- the following description is oriented by considering that the terms “upper” and “high” correspond to a direction generally parallel to the axis XX and from the body of the container 3 to its neck 2, that is to say say a direction directed towards the upper part of the Figures 1, 2 , 4 and 5 , while the terms “inferior” and “low” correspond to a direction in the opposite direction.
- the neck 2 comprises a tubular body 4 with a circular base, of axis XX. As shown on Figures 4 and 5 the body 4 delimits, at its upper end, a rim 5 at which the liquid contained in the container or, more generally, the contents of the container is intended to be poured.
- the neck 2 On the outer face of the body 4, the neck 2 has, at its upper end, an edge 6 and, in its running part, a boss 7, and at its lower end, a flange 8. This edge 6, this boss 7 and this collar 8 extend all three radially outwardly from the body 4.
- the plug 1 is made of a semi-rigid plastic material, such as polypropylene or polyethylene, preferably shaped by molding.
- the plug 1, considered clipped on the neck 2 is open at its lower end and closed at its upper end by a bottom wall 10 extending transversely, or perpendicular to the axis XX.
- the stopper 1 also comprises a tubular skirt 20, which is centered on the axis XX and which extends axially downwards from the outer periphery of the bottom wall 10.
- the skirt 20 has an outer side face 20A and an inner side face 20B, both with a circular base, centered on the axis XX.
- the bottom wall 10 extends above and across the neck, while the skirt 20 externally surrounds the body 4 of the neck, its face 20B being radially opposite. of the last.
- the skirt 20 is dimensioned in length, that is to say along the axis XX, so that its lower end is in the immediate vicinity of, or in support of, a set close, against the upper face of the flange 8 of the neck 2 when the cap 1 is clipped on this neck.
- the skirt 20 is internally provided with clipping means 22, constituted in the embodiment of a clipping strip 22 in the form of a bulge of material extending radially inwards from the inner side face. 20B of the skirt.
- the clipping of the cap 1 on the neck 2 consists in wedging the strip 22 under the boss 7, by engaging the upper part of the strip 22 with the lower part of the boss 7 while the bottom wall 10 is pressed down against the rim 5 of the neck, as shown in FIGS. Figures 4 and 5 .
- the unclipping of the plug 1 is to disengage the strip 22 vis-à-vis the boss 7, applying to the skirt 20 a force directed upwards, sufficient to cross the strip 22 boss 7 in bypassing the latter from the outside, by means of the local deformation of the wall of the skirt radially outwards.
- the axial position of the clipping strip 22 is not limiting of the invention, as long as this position takes into account that of the boss 7 of the neck 2, with which the strip cooperates by wedging to clip the skirt around the collar.
- the boss 7 and the edge 6 can be made in the form of a same bulge of material, projecting from the outer end of the upper body 4 of the neck 2.
- the plug 1 comprises a lip 12 which extends axially downwardly from the bottom wall 10, centrally on the axis XX, inside the skirt 20: when the cap is clipped on the neck 2 as on the Figures 4 and 5 , the lip 12 is pressed sealingly against the inner face of the body 4 of the neck.
- the upper end of the skirt 20 is, at least internally, slightly constricted relative to the rest of the skirt, so as to tightly surround the edge 6 of the collar 2: in this way, when the cap 1 is clipped on the neck 2, the upper end of the inner side face 20B of the skirt 20 is pressed sealingly against the outer periphery of the edge 6 of the neck.
- the stopper 1 further comprises a strip 30 of uncorking.
- This band 30 has an annular shape which, in the embodiment considered here, is circular.
- the profile of the inner face of the strip 30 is slightly larger than the profile of the outer lateral face 20A of the skirt 20: in other words, the strip 30 is dimensioned so that it can be arranged coaxially and around the skirt 20, an annular space between the inner face of the strip 30 and the outer face 20A of the skirt 20, as clearly visible on the figure 3 .
- the band 30 has a height, that is to say a dimension along its central axis, which, on the majority of the periphery of the band, is less than half, even third or even quarter of the height of the skirt 20.
- the band 30 is permanently attached to the skirt 20 by a strand 40 of non-breakable material. As clearly visible on Figures 1 to 3 this strand 40 extends over narrow peripheral portions of the skirt 20 and the strip 30, namely a portion 24 of the skirt 20, which connects the rest of the skirt to the strand 40, and a peripheral portion 32 of the strip 30, which connects the rest of the strip to the strand 40.
- the hand of the user can thus gripping the strip 30 firmly and without difficulty, then pulling it upwards, in particular substantially parallel to the axis XX as indicated by the arrow F on the figure 5 , while simultaneously driving the skirt 20 due to its connection with the band 30 by the strand 40, until unclip this skirt and thus open the cap 1 vis-à-vis the neck 2.
- the passage of the strip 30 from its folded position to its raised position relative to the skirt 20 is reversible, by means of the inverse deformation of the strand 40.
- the passage of the strip 30 between its folded and raised positions is similar to a tilting around a geometric axis ZZ, orthoradial to the axis XX and located at the strand 40, the latter can thus be described as tilting hinge.
- the strip 30 is provided with a tab 34 of manual solicitation.
- This tab extends radially outwardly projecting from the annular body of the band 30.
- this tab 34 runs along the periphery of the strip 30, only on a restricted portion of the strip 30, this portion being diametrically opposed to the peripheral portion 32 associated with the strand 40.
- the specific geometry of the tab 34 is not exhaustive of the invention, from the fact that, by its external salient arrangement, this tab allows the user to easily grip the band in the folded position and drive it to the raised position, in particular by allowing the user to catch with the tip of his fingers the band 30 at the peripheral level opposite the strand 40.
- the stopper 1 integrates, in connection with its discharge strip 30, control means of the first opening, designed for, when the stopper 1 is opened for the first time, to break and thus to provide a corresponding indication to the user.
- the plug 1 comprises for this purpose frangible bridges, which are distributed around the axis XX and which, in the exemplary embodiment considered in the figures, are provided in eight copies, respectively being referenced 51 to 58.
- each of these frangible bridges 51 to 58 is provided for, before being broken, in other words before the first opening of the stopper 1, to connect the skirt 20 and the strip 30 in the folded-down position one to the other, more precisely connecting the outer side face 20A of the skirt to the inner face of the strip 30 in the folded position.
- These frangible bridges 51 to 58 thus occupy respectively restricted portions of the annular space radially formed between them skirt 20 and the band 30 in the folded position.
- the frangible bridges 51 to 58 are distributed, around the axis XX, outside the respective peripheral portions 24 and 32 of the skirt 20 and the strip 30.
- At least one of the frangible bridges 51 to 58 is located along the periphery of the skirt 20 and the strip 30 in the folded position, immediately on one side of the strand 40, being contiguous thereto.
- it is two of the frangible bridges 51 to 58, namely the bridges referenced 54 and 55 in the figures, which are situated, according to the periphery of the skirt 20 and the strip 30 in the folded position, immediately on the side and side. another of the strand 40, being contiguous thereto.
- This immediate proximity, depending on the periphery of the skirt and the strip, between these bridges 54 and 55 and the strand 40 is clearly visible on the figure 1 for the bridge 54 and on the figure 3 for the bridge 55.
- any attempt to sabotage the plug 1 aiming to unclip locally the skirt 20, in particular with the aid of a tool, leads to the breaking of one or more bridges among the bridges 51 to 58.
- sabotage is attempted at the peripheral level of the strand 40, it is one and / or the other of the frangible bridges 54 and 55 which break.
- the strand 40 extends outwardly projecting from the outer lateral face 20A of the skirt 20, occupying and / or bordering a peripheral portion of the annular space that radially between them the skirt 20 and the strip 30 in the folded position, namely the portion of this space located around the axis XX, at the level of the peripheral portions 24 and 32 of the skirt and the strip.
- the strand 40 extends projecting upwards from the upper end edge of the band 30.
- This embodiment makes it possible to predict the strand under thinned form, in other words in the form of a veil 42 covering and leaving free the aforementioned portion of the annular space formed radially between the skirt 20 and the band 30.
- the veil 42 is bent towards the bottom, by connecting exclusively to one another the outer side face 20A of the skirt 20 and the upper end edge of the band 30.
- the veil 42 reinforces the anti-tampering security of the plug 1, tending to tear under the action of any tool that would attempt to be introduced, at the peripheral level of the strand 40, between the strip 30 and the skirt 20 to slip inside of the latter, or by softening the junction between the portion 32 and the skirt 20 so that if a thrust is exerted on the portion 32 to try to unclip the skirt 20, it is one and / or the other bridges 54 and 55 that will break first and make the break-in obvious.
- the unblocking strip 30 is, when in the folded position, located substantially at the axial level of the lower end of the skirt 20. More specifically, as clearly visible on the figure 4 the lower end of the strip 30 is radially opposite the lower end of the skirt 20, so that the respective lower ends of the strip 30 and the skirt 20 are flush with each other, being located, when the plug 1 is clipped on the neck 2, at the axial level, with a close game, the upper surface of the flange 8: in this way, the anti-sabotage security of the plug 1 is reinforced, by making it impossible, except to damage the strip 30, to introduce a sabotage tool between the flange 8 and the lower end of the skirt 20.
- the axial alignment of the respective lower ends of the skirt 20 and of the band 30 may be limited to their peripheral portion 24 and 32, so as to reinforce the anti-sabotage security exclusively at the peripheral level of the strand 40, while allowing the rest of the band 30 to occupy, on the axial extent of the outer lateral face 20A of the skirt 20, other axial levels than that of the lower end of the skirt: in particular, in its peripheral portion, diametrically opposed to its peripheral portion 32, this strip may run around the skirt 20 substantially at half axial height of the outer face 20A, thereby providing, diametrically opposite the strand 40, a free space, located axially between the flange 8 and the band 30, to facilitate gripping by the user of the band 30 in the folded position.
- the skirt 20 includes an upper end portion 26, which connects the bottom wall 10 to the rest of the skirt 20: the outer lateral face 20A of the skirt 20 includes a portion delimited by this upper end portion 26, which is not radial view neither of the strip 30 in the folded position, nor of the strand 40 and the tab 34.
- This upper end portion 26 of the skirt 20 thus has the advantage of being easily and efficiently gripped by a gripping machine of the cork 1 for the purpose of the initial establishment of this cap around the collar 2 to butcher. Indeed, this upper end portion 26 has a circular outer profile which, over its entire periphery, is free of any obstacle or relief that would disturb the grip of this skirt by the aforementioned machines.
Description
The invention relates generally to plugs, typically made of plastic, which comprise a tubular skirt, designed to surround the neck of a container to be plugged, and removably attach to it by jamming with less an inner clip of this skirt with a protruding boss outside the collar. These plugs are generally called "snap" plugs. They are also sometimes called clipped caps.
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a "snape" cap which, while being easy to manufacture and set up on a container neck, is both easy to open, even in the case where the cap incorporates ruptible means witnessing its first opening, and difficult to sabotage.
For this purpose, the invention relates to a cap for a container neck, as defined in
One of the basic ideas of the invention is to integrate in a "snape" stopper a release ring that the user will be able to very easily grip manually, in particular by threading it around one or two of his fingers, to pull on the skirt to the "désnaper" of the neck, that is to say until the release of the collar by overcoming the resistance of its wedging around the neck. This uncoupling ring is formed by a loop-shaped band, closed on itself and non-fangibly bonded to the skirt only in a restricted zone of their respective periphery. As long as the band does not have to be used to open the cap, it is intended to remotely surround an outer side face of the skirt, if necessary by being connected thereto by frangible bridges, witnesses of the first opening . When the user wishes to unclog the stopper, he moves the band, in particular he tilts it, with respect to the skirt, by means of, if necessary, the breaking of the aforementioned frangible bridges and by means of the deformation of the non-frangible link connecting the skirt and the band, this link being made in the form of a strand projecting from the outer lateral face of the skirt. The displacement of the strip releases, vis-à-vis the skirt, the inside of the band to allow the user to enter manually and to jointly cause the band and the skirt to unclip the latter of the container neck. The plug according to the invention is thus particularly easy to open, even in the presence of ruptible means witnessing the first opening, this plug can also be easily reclipsed thereafter. In addition, by making the unclipping of the cap easy and practical, the unblocking strip indirectly makes it possible to simplify the design of the container neck, which can thus be expected to be short and economical. Moreover, the presence of the release strip on the outside of the skirt is of course compatible with arrangements internal to the skirt, relating to the sealing of the closure of the neck by the cap.
Also according to the invention, the uncoupling strip in the folded position is arranged, at least for its portion connected to the skirt by the strand, at the axial level of the bottom of the skirt, the respective lower ends of the strip and the skirt being outcrop each other at least in their respective portion connected by the strand: the introduction of a sabotage tool at the base of the skirt, in order to locally unclip the latter in particular in its portion linked to the band by the strand, causes the deterioration of the strand and / or the band. The anti-sabotage security of the plug according to the invention is thus high. In addition, the discharge strip may advantageously have other anti-tampering arrangements, further limiting the risk of maliciously opening the cap without leaving a corresponding trace. In any case, the plug according to the invention is advantageously manufactured simply and economically, by molding a plastic material. This cap is also easily placed on a container neck to be closed, typically using high-speed gripping machines along bottling lines, these machines advantageously not having the constraint of having to grasp the stopper. in a specific angular orientation in the sense that these machines can grasp the upper end portion of the skirt, intended to be turned away from the container, cooperating with the circular outer profile of this end portion without being hindered by the presence of the unblocking tape.
Additional advantageous features of the plug according to the invention are specified in the dependent claims.

The
In the embodiment considered in the figures, the
- a folded position, which is shown on the
Figures 1 to 4 and wherein thestrip 30 extends generally horizontally and coaxially surrounds theskirt 20, being located radially facing theouter side face 20A of the skirt, and - a raised position, which is shown on the
figure 5 and wherein thestrip 30 extends generally inclined relative to the horizontal, or extends generally vertically as shown schematically in phantom on thefigure 5 , so that the inside of theband 30 is predominantly, or even totally, clear of theskirt 20.
Of course, the passage of the
In this way, any attempt to sabotage the
Regarding the embodiment of the
A titre d'exemples :
- rather than running uninterruptedly over the entire inner periphery of the
skirt 20, thestrip 22 clipping can be interrupted, one or more times, then consisting of several separate clips, distributed along the inner periphery of theskirt 20; according to the angular positioning, around the axis XX, of this or these interruptions, in particular with respect to the peripheral levels of thestrand 40 and thetab 34, the clipping and / or unclipping of theskirt 20 may be rendered less or on the contrary, more resistant; - rather than being made in the form of a thin web such as the
web 42, thestrand 40 can be made in a massive form, in particular by occupying the entire space formed radially between the respective 24 and 32 of theperipheral portions skirt 20 and theband 30; and or - in the example considered on
Figures 4 and 5 , thebody 4 of theneck 2 is externally smooth between theedge 6 and theboss 7; alternatively not shown, this part of thebody 4 may be threaded, it being understood that this threading would not be used to fix thecap 1 on theneck 2 by screwing, but that the presence of such a thread would not be troublesome to put in place theplug 1 clipped.
