  • Figure 4 shows a portion of chain made with the connection of two modular elements according to the invention. Chains of any length can be composed in this way. In figure 4 it is moreover possible to see how a portion of grooves 24 is uncovered in the hole 11' when the two elements are connected, so as to constitute a good grip of the insert from the outside and the disconnection of the adjacent modular element from the spherical body.
  • the presence of an insert that is separated from the spherical body ensures that the connection between adjacent elements is stable and effective but at the same time the spherical body 10 can move freely thanks to the rounded head 14 that is free to rotate in the central hole 23 of the insert 2. Furthermore, when the system is subjected to tensile loads, the connection element 13 exerts a radial pressure on the lugs 25 of the insert 2, and it tends to make them expand, thus increasing the pressure in between the projecting edge 26 and the hole 11 of the component 1 that is the inner housing of the insert.
  • the present modular element therefore, in addition to achieving the purpose of making modular chains in a simple manner, is also useful for obtaining chains that are very flexible, in which between each element and the adjacent modular elements there is complete freedom of movement, despite having at the same time high stability and strength in the connection; the traction and twisting resistance and consequently the risk of breaking is minimal, contrarily to known modular chain systems illustrated above.
  • the chain made with the modular elements of the invention is moreover extremely versatile: the complete modularity of the present system ensures that elements with a different colour, finishing, shape and size, can be assembled, and that they can be easily replaced with others in a chain that has already been made, both in the cases in which single elements are worn out or broken or simply to change the appearance of the chain. Even these characteristics are particularly advantageous with respect to known systems, in which there is no real modularity since the elements cannot be individually replaced if not by making the whole chain again, like what occurs for example in the system with central thread, in which the breaking of an element of the chain causes the loss or detachment of all the elements.
  • the chain of the invention in addition to the ease of replacement of the modular elements already assembled in the chain, also presents a particular ease of assembly, upon initial assembly of the chain, which shortens the processing time and therefore involves advantages in terms of costs of the industrial production.

  • Costume jewellery or jewellery articles according to the invention can moreover comprise pendants, trinkets, charms or other decorations, for being hooked, for example, at the neck 15 of the connection element, between the spherical body of an element and that of the adjacent element.

Claims (9)

  1. Elément modulaire pour la fabrication de chaînes pour la bijouterie et articles de bijouterie fantaisie, ledit élément modulaire comprenant un composant (1) ayant un corps (10) avec un logement (11) et un élément de connexion (13) solidaire dudit corps (10) et s'étendant à partir du côté opposé audit logement (11), ledit élément de connexion (13) comprenant une tête arrondie (14) placée sur un col de diamètre réduit (15), ledit élément modulaire comprenant en outre un insert (2) constitué d'un base cylindrique (21) à partir de laquelle s'étend une partie tronconique (22) comprenant, sur le côté opposé à ladite base (21), un orifice central (23) réalisé à l'intérieur de l'insert, et au moins deux saignées (24) qui forment des fentes traversantes dans la paroi de ladite partie tronconique (22) et qui divisent ladite paroi en autant de pattes (25), ledit insert (2) étant adapté pour recevoir un élément de connexion (13) de manière à ce que ladite tête arrondie (14) puisse être verrouillée à l'intérieur dudit orifice central (23) en laissant ledit corps (10) libre de tourner autour dudit col (15), ledit insert (2) étant en outre apte à être inséré par pression dans un logement (11') d'un autre élément modulaire analogue.
  2. Elément modulaire selon la revendication 1, dans lequel ladite partie tronconique (22) dudit insert (2) présente un corps ayant deux portions de diamètres différents avec un bord saillant (26) où lesdites portions sont connectées, ledit bord étant tel qu'il permet l'insertion de l'insert (2) dans un logement (11') d'un autre élément modulaire en exerçant une légère pression, maintenant alors ledit insert (2) bloqué en position grâce à la présence d'un épaulement (12') à l'intérieur dudit logement (11') dans lequel ledit bord saillant (26) demeure verrouillé.
  3. Elément modulaire selon l'une des revendications 1 et 2, dans lequel ladite partie tronconique (22) dudit insert (2) présente quatre saignés (24) symétriques et équidistantes les unes par rapport aux autres, formant quatre pattes (25).
  4. Elément modulaire selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel ledit insert (2) est intérieurement creux.
  5. Elément modulaire selon les revendications 1 à 4, dans lequel ledit élément est réalisé dans un matériau choisi entre un métal et des matériaux plastiques rigides, éventuellement plaqués de pierres précieuses, de verres, de décorations, d'émaux, de couleurs et similaires.
  6. Elément modulaire selon les revendications 1 à 4, dans lequel ledit insert (2) est fabriqué, entièrement ou au moins ladite partie tronconique (22), en un matériau flexible, pour augmenter la flexibilité desdites pattes (25) et pour y faciliter l'insertion de ladite tête (14) de l'élément de connexion.
  7. Un bijou ou un article de bijouterie fantaisie comprenant plusieurs éléments modulaires tels que définis selon les revendications 1 à 6, identiques ou différents, reliés entre eux de manière à former une chaîne.
  8. Un kit pour la fabrication d'une chaîne modulaire pour bijouterie ou articles de bijouterie fantaisie, ledit kit comprenant au moins n éléments modulaires tels que définis selon les revendications 1 à 6, et des outils adaptés pour faciliter les opérations de connexion et de déconnexion entre lesdits éléments modulaires.
  9. Un procédé de fabrication d'une chaîne pour bijouterie ou articles de bijouterie fantaisie comprenant n éléments modulaires selon les revendications 1 à 6, ledit procédé comprenant les étapes suivantes :
    - sélection d'un nombre n d'éléments (1) avec lesquels ladite chaîne doit être fabriquée, et insertion de leurs éléments de connexion respectifs (13) dans un nombre n d'inserts (2), afin de former n éléments modulaires ; et
    - connexion entre les n éléments modulaires ainsi formés selon un ordre prédéterminé, au moyen de l'insertion de chaque insert (2) d'un élément modulaire dans un logement (11') d'un composant (1') d'un autre élément modulaire, jusqu'à la connexion du dernier n élément et la fermeture de la chaîne.
