Description
- The invention relates to the sector of devices for moving sliding gates.
- More in detail, the invention relates to a device for moving gates sliding along curved trajectories, a related kit and a gate comprising this device.
- As is known, reversible opening of sliding gates, whether for pedestrians or vehicles, is commonly obtained by means of electromechanical devices adapted to determine an adequate lateral translation on specific rectilinear rails fixed to the ground.
- Patent application
WO 2007/105238 A1 discloses a device for moving gates sliding along rectilinear trajectories. - As is also known, the aforesaid devices for moving sliding gates generally have the following negative points:
- they determine the substantial doubling of the footprint of gates, as they require additional lateral spaces adapted to contain said gates during the maximum opening thereof;
- they can make it impossible to use the whole opening front of the gates, as the related mechanical moving devices can limit lateral translation of said gates on the specific rails;
- they can only be combined with gates of regular shape, to avoid the occurrence of potential impediments to the correct lateral translation of said gates on the rails;
- they need perfectly rectilinear rails, laid with great care, also with reference to planarity, to prevent the gates from stopping or the occurrence of excessive resistance to their movement.
- Therefore, the object of the invention is to overcome the aforesaid negative points of devices for moving gates sliding along rectilinear trajectories.
- The object of the invention is achieved with a device for moving gates sliding along curved trajectories, according to the main
independent claim 1. - Further characteristics of the invention are contained in the dependent claims.
- A device for moving sliding gates according to the invention achieves the following important advantages:
- it maintains the total footprint of the gates along the closing front of the property to be closed substantially unchanged, as it does not require the additional lateral spaces normally required to contain said gates during maximum opening;
- it allows the whole opening front of the gates to be utilized;
- it can be used in combination with gates of any shape and size;
- it reduces the risk of any impacts of the gates with obstacles placed in proximity of the front or rear side thereof;
- it allows execution of the manual or motorized movement of the gates;
- it allows simplification of laying of the rails associated with the gates and of the movement device itself.
- Further characteristics and advantages of the invention will be more evident from the detailed description set forth below, with the aid of the figures, which show a preferred implementation thereof, illustrated by way of non-limiting example, wherein:
-
Fig. 1 shows, in a complete axonometric view, the structural form of a device for moving gates sliding along curved trajectories, according to the invention; -
Figs. 2-3 show, respectively in a plan side view and in an exploded axonometric view, some internal structural details of said device; -
Fig. 4 shows in a complete axonometric view, a variant of embodiment of the same device. - With reference to the details of
Figs. 1-2-3 , adevice 1 for moving gates sliding along curved trajectories according to the invention essentially comprises: - a
movable pillar 2, adapted to support a gate C, sliding along acurvilinear rail 10 by means of pivotingrollers 9; - a
base 11 for themovable pillar 2, comprising aslide 14, with which saidmovable pillar 2 is rotatably associated, slidably movable along arectilinear rail 16, housed inside a box-like container 12, provided with a slottedcover 13, adapted to be fixed to the ground or to be buried under the surface on which thecurvilinear rail 10 rests; - a
composite plate 17, integral with themovable pillar 2, adapted to allow the connection of saidmovable pillar 2 to theslide 14 and rotation in the two directions of saidmovable pillar 2 on saidslide 14, by means of pin mechanical connecting means 18; - a
motor assembly 19 with reversing rotation, associated with themovable pillar 2, supplied by mains power and/or rechargeable batteries, actuated by a control unit (not shown), adapted to determine the sliding of the gate C along thecurvilinear rail 10. - The
movable pillar 2 comprises first 3 and second 4 overhanging arms, with which there are rotatably associated first 5 and second 6 idle rollers, rotatable about axes orthogonal to saidmovable pillar 2, adapted to be contained and to slide inside first 7 and second 8 rectilinear guides provided on the gate C, to support this latter, and to exchange both traction and thrust forces withsaid guides 7, 8 based on the direction of movement of the gate C. - The
slide 14 of thebase 11 comprisesbearings 15 adapted to allow the mechanical connection thereof to therectilinear rail 16 and the sliding in the two directions along this rail. - The
motor assembly 19 is provided on theplate 17 of themovable pillar 2, so as to be connected mechanically, by means of apinion 23, actuated by the movement of the drive shaft, to arectilinear rack 20 associated with the secondrectilinear guide 8 provided on the gate C. - Also associated with said second
rectilinear guide 8 are thepivoting rollers 9, adapted to allow the sliding of the gate C along thecurvilinear rail 10. - Advantageously, the
aforesaid device 1 can be produced and marketed as an assembly kit applicable to gates C of any shape and size, and to sliding gates C, either during installation or to gates that are already installed, to make them slide along a curved trajectory. - In conformity with the invention, operation of the
aforesaid device 1 for moving gates C sliding along curved trajectories can be summarized as described below. - The
movable pillar 2 rests on thebase 11 below, which is fixed to the ground or previously buried under the surface on which thecurvilinear rail 10 rests by means of the box-like container 12 that defines the load-bearing structure thereof. - The
movable pillar 2 determines supporting of the gate C by means of the overhanging arms 3, 4 integral therewith, connected to the gate C by means of therespective idle rollers rectilinear guides 7, 8 provided at a suitable height on the gate C. - The gate C also rests on the
curvilinear rail 10 below, by means of thepivoting rollers 9 provided on the lowerrectilinear guide 8. - Acting by means of the
pinion 23 on therack 20, also provided on therectilinear guide 8, themotor assembly 19 applies a driving force to the gate C adapted to determine the sliding thereof along thecurvilinear rail 10, by means of theaforesaid pivoting rollers 9. - Acting on said
rack 20, themotor assembly 19 also determines the simultaneous sliding of therectilinear guides 7, 8 of the gate C on theidle rollers movable pillar 2. - The sliding of the gate C along the
curvilinear rail 10 determines the consequent shifting of said gate C from a closing position P1 to an open position P2, each corresponding to the opposite end of the samecurvilinear rail 10. - Advantageously, the sliding of the gate C along the curvilinear trajectory delineated by the
curvilinear rail 10 arranges said gate C laterally and almost orthogonal to the closing front of the property, upon reaching the open position P2. - The application of a driving force in the opposite direction to the gate C, supplied by the
motor assembly 19, determines the reversal of sliding of the gate C along thecurvilinear rail 10 and the simultaneous reversal of sliding of therectilinear guides 7, 8 of the gate C on theidle rollers movable pillar 2, thereby allowing said gate C to return to the closing position P1 on thecurvilinear rail 10. - The sliding of the gate C on the
curvilinear rail 10 is transmitted to themovable pillar 2 through the sliding of therectilinear guides 7, 8 of said gate C on theidle rollers movable pillar 2, thereby determining a forced rotation of themovable pillar 2 on theslide 14 of thebase 11. - The rotation of the
movable pillar 2 on theslide 14 is enabled by pin or hinge mechanical connecting means 18, adapted to rotatably connect saidmovable pillar 2 to saidslide 14, by means of theplate 17 integral therewith. - The forced rotation of said
movable pillar 2 on saidslide 14 determines an orientation of the overhanging arms 3, 4 constantly perpendicular to therectilinear guides 7, 8 of the gate C. - The sliding of the gate C along the
curvilinear rail 10 also determines a forced translation of themovable pillar 2 on therectilinear rail 16, housed inside the box-like container 12 defining the load-bearing structure of thebase 11, on which, by means ofbearings 15, theaforesaid slide 14 slides. The forced translation of themovable pillar 2 on therectilinear rail 16 is simultaneous to the forced rotation thereof on theaforesaid slide 14, so that the movement of themovable pillar 2, as a whole, can be defined as roto-translation. - More in detail:
- the sliding of the gate C from the closing position P1 toward the central portion of the
curvilinear rail 10 exerts on the movable pillar 2 a thrust adapted to determine a proportional reverse movement thereof on therectilinear rail 16; - the sliding of the gate C from the central portion of the
curvilinear rail 10 toward the closing position P2 exerts on the movable pillar 2 a traction adapted to determine a proportional forward movement thereof on therectilinear rail 16. - The translation of the
movable pillar 2 on therectilinear rail 16 also determines a constant maintenance of the distance existing between the overhanging arms 3, 4 and therectilinear guides 7, 8 of the gate C, in this way preventing the occurrence of mechanical blocks adapted to prevent the sliding of said gate C on thecurvilinear rail 10 and/or the sliding of saidrectilinear guides 7, 8 on theidle rollers - The translation of the
movable pillar 2 on therectilinear rail 10 also determines a constant maintenance of the distance existing between themovable pillar 2 and the gate C, in this way determining the constant mechanical connection of themotor assembly 19 with therectilinear rack 20, arranged on therectilinear guide 8, and the consequent constant application of the driving force necessary to produce the desired sliding of the gate C along the aforesaidcurvilinear rail 10. - In a possible variant of embodiment, shown in
Fig. 4 , the upper support means can be replaced by anoverhanging arm 21, integral with themovable pillar 2, with which there are rotatably associatedrollers 22, rotating about vertical axes, between which the upper transverse upright M of the gate C can slide, in this case acting as guide means. - In possible further variants of embodiment (not illustrated), or in the case of a power outage, the electromechanical driving force supplied by the
motor assembly 19 can be replaced by muscular driving force supplied by a user of thedevice 1 and applied manually directly to the structure of the gate C.
