Abstract
This lighting device is formed from light elements (L1, L2, ... L20) arranged on a support plate (PS1, PS2, ;;;). The pad or pads are arranged to provide illumination according to a determined coverage. The plates comprise a plugging system (C1, C2, C3, P1, P2, P3) for the connection of said light elements. The mounting of such a device using a threaded rod 7 provides easy maintenance of the device of the invention. This device easily fits into the constitution of lighting ramps.
Description
- The present invention relates to a lighting device formed from light elements, a power supply circuit for powering said elements.
- The present invention also relates to a lighting ramp formed by a plurality of such lighting devices.
- Such devices are well known especially those using LEDs as light elements. The LEDs provide powerful lighting considering their electrical power consumed. In many applications, omnidirectional and intense lighting is desired whereas LED diodes provide rather highly directional light flows.
- The object of the invention is to provide a lamp which takes advantage of the performance qualities of LEDs and which illuminates in an omnidirectional manner while having the possibility of obtaining a high light intensity.
- For this, a device of the kind mentioned in the preamble is remarkable in that said elements are organized in at least one set of at least one light element.
- According to one aspect of the invention, the device comprises a plurality of said assemblies arranged on at least one support plate and arranged so as to provide lighting according to a determined coverage,
- Thus by increasing the number of assemblies directed to different directions, one obtains an omnidirectional lighting or a lighting having a given light coverage and also a brightness that can be stronger.
- An interesting application of the invention is that concerning the lighting of car parks which requires ease of maintenance and also installation.
- For maintenance, the invention proposes a platelet insertion system to facilitate their replacement in case of failure. With regard to the ease of installation, the power supply circuit is of a controlled type to adjust the supply voltage of the light elements thus compensating for any voltage drops due to the length of the power supply cable. to feed the ramp. Indeed, if we are dealing with a ramp of such devices, the voltage accessible at the end of the ramp is much lower than at the beginning. It should be noted that the power cable carrying preferably a Low voltage value does not require any precautions or authorization for the installation of such a ramp.
- The following description accompanied by the accompanying drawings, all given by way of non-limiting example, will make it clear how the invention can be realized. In the drawings:
- the
figure 1 shows in perspective a lighting device according to the invention, - the
figure 2 shows a plate for sets of luminous elements suitable for a device according to the invention, - the
figure 3 shows how said set plates are displayed on illumination facets placed on the support plate of the device, - the
figure 4 shows how the protective dome of the device is arranged on the support plate, - the
figure 5 shows an arrangement of the supply elements of said device of the invention, - the
figure 6 shows a ramp of lighting devices according to the invention, - the
figure 7 shows ramps according to the invention for lighting a car park, - the
figure 8 shows an exemplary embodiment of a lighting device according to the invention, - the
figure 9 shows the transmission of images involving the device shown infigure 8 , - the
figure 10 explicit the connections of the device shown at thefigure 8 . - In these figures, the common elements all have the same references in all the figures.
- To the
figure 1 , the lighting device shown is formed of a base 5 of circular shape, for example. In the center of this base, is fixed the end of a threaded rod 7. At a distance from the base 5 is fixed a support plate 10 through which this threaded rod 7. This distance is determined by a nut, no shown, which blocks the vertical displacement of the support plate 10. On this support plate 10 are arranged illumination facets F1, F2, F3, F4 and F5. On these facets are fixed support plates some of which (PS1, PS2, ...) only are referenced on the figure to avoid overloading it. On each of these plates is placed a set E1 of luminous elements L1 ... L20 as shown in FIG.figure 2 . The positioning of the facets and even of said plates makes it possible to adjust the direction and distribution of the radiation in the space. - The
figure 3 shows that the PS1 support pads are removable to facilitate their replacement. For this purpose, connectors C1, C2, C3,... Integral with the pads PS1 are provided on these plates and come into contact with catches P1, P2, P3 respectively formed on the illumination facets (F1,. . - The lighting device comprises a protective dome 20 made of transparent material such as polymethylmethacrylate better known under the trade name of "plexiglass". This dome 20 is in the form of a hemisphere whose base rests on the support plate 10. To center this dome, there are provided pins 25, 26, 27, ... 31 as shown in FIG. the
figure 4 . These lugs are arranged at the periphery of the support plate 10. A hole 40 at the top of this dome makes it possible to pass the threaded rod.7. Another hole 61 visible on thefigure 4 is formed in the support plate 10 for the passage of a cable 63. A nut 43 maintains the dome 20 against the support plate 10. - A supply circuit 60 is placed under the illumination facets F1 ... F5. This circuit is connected to the power cable 63 which passes through the hole 61. This circuit is formed by a transformer 65 of a control electronics 67 and an accumulator system 69. The transformer is of a type a regulation which provides, especially for lighting, a determined voltage for a voltage range which is applied to its input. The battery 69 preserves the illumination during a power failure and can thus provide a backup voltage to at least one light element.
- The mounting of the device of the invention based on a threaded rod allows easy disassembly which, associated with the possibility of easily changing the support plates (PS1 etc.) offers great ease for the maintenance of this device.
- Advantageously, the devices of the invention are well adapted to a ramp configuration. Thanks to the invention, it is possible to play on the light distribution by tilting the different facets F1, F2, ...; to obtain a distribution or coverage of the desired illumination of each device. In addition, the regulation of the voltages brought by the regulated transformers makes it possible to obtain ramps of great range without deterioration of light intensity at the end of the line. The
figure 6 shows the structure of such a ramp which consists of a plurality of devices according to the invention 100, 101, 102, 103 which are all connected to a power cable 63. - An application area of such ramp is the parking lighting This is shown in the
figure 7 . The car park consists of two bays: a first bay for vehicles V1, V2, ..., V5 and a second bay for vehicles V11, V12, ..., V15. Each of these bays is assigned a ramp. A first ramp is assigned to the first span and consists of the lighting devices 111, 112, 113, 114 and 115. These devices are powered by the cable 63. A second bay is illuminated by the lighting devices 121, 122 , 123, 124 and 125. They are powered via a power cable 63 '. It should be noted that since the voltage of such ramps can remain at a low value, these lamps do not present any danger during shocks with the vehicles in operation. - Another example of application of the invention is shown at
figure 8 . In this example the lamp is fixed to the ceiling of a room and a video camera 210 has been inserted for the surveillance of this room. The lens of this camera is flush with the outer level of the F5 facet, as shown infigure 9 . Its layout is such that it allows objects to be seen at an angle α as large as possible and is sufficiently depressed to avoid the glare provided by the surrounding LEDs. - This camera 215 is connected to a PLC device 217 (in-line carrier current coupling device) which makes it possible to transmit on the same line a supply current and data, therefore the images picked up by the camera 215, to a pole of 300 to be viewed on a screen 310. The images are accessible at the monitoring pole 300 by another PLC device 317 through the cable 63. The reference 330 indicates a power source for at least one lamp. It is possible to provide, at the monitoring pole 300, various CPL devices 320, 321, .. assigned to different cameras belonging to different lamps.
- The
figure 10 shows that just as on thefigure 5 , the various elements including the coupling device 217 are placed under the illumination facets F1 ... F5. - The lighting device finds another application in the context of lighting a room such as office or meeting room. It is possible in the base 5 of the lamp to fix a strong WIFI relay used in this kind of room. This is shown by the reference 350. This allows the participants in the work room to have an easy connection to the WIFI network.
