front face 31 of thecover 12 comprises stiffening means of thecover 39 made next to its edges and which are for example composed of connection surfaces of thecover 39; said stiffening means of thecover 39 are adapted to connect thefront face 31 to theupper face 32 and to the side faces 33 of thecover 12 in order to project thefront face 31 outwards; in a preferred way, the connection surfaces of thecover 39 are connection planes. - Preferably, the
lower face 22 and/or the rear face of the base 11 comprise reinforcingribs 41 slanted with respect to their sides which stiffen and toughen the structure of thebase 11; in a preferred way, theribs 41 are obtained to prevent the product contained in thecontainer 10 from adhering to itsbase 11. - The
front face 31 of thecover 12 comprises a reinforcingelement 42, comprising asurface 44 recessed with respect to thefront face 31 of thecover 12, obtained in a preferred way in the central part of thefront face 31, next to thelower edge 34. - In
Figure 4A an enlarged detail is shown of a section of the reinforcingelement 42, which comprises a shapededge 43 having a section with a double curvature shapes as an "S". - In the embodiment of the
container 10 of the invention in which the sealing means are composed of a projectinggroove 26 obtained on thebase 11, the projectinggroove 26 is adapted to be inserted inside the shapededge 43, for airtight closing thecover 12 on thebase 11, preventing thecover 12 from opening following a compression of thelower face 22 of thebase 11, which can cause a distortion of thelower face 22 and the consequent opening of thecontainer 10. - The reinforcing
element 42 is adapted to stiffen and toughen the structure of thecontainer 10 when thecover 12 is closed on thebase 11. - The operation of the
container 10 for food products according to the present invention will now be described. - In a first step, the
container 10 is open and the food product which must be packaged, for example a slide or a piece of confectionery product, is deposited on thelower face 22 of thecontainer 10, preferably on theribs 41. - In a second, positioning step, the
cover 12 is rotated around thecommon side 15 till it is placed above thebase 11, with the complementary sealing means 36, arranged on thelower edge 34 of thecover 12, which are associated with and/or connected to the sealing means 26 arranged on theupper edge 24 of thebase 11. - For example, in the second positioning step of the embodiment of the
container 10 of the invention which comprises the sealing means composed of a projectinggroove 26 and the complementary sealing means composed of an obtainedgroove 36 or of an obtainedstep 36, at the end of the second positioning step the projectinggroove 26 is partially inserted inside the recessedgroove 36 when thecover 12 is abutted against thebase 11; preferably, the parte of projectinggroove 26 which is inserted inside the recessedgroove 36 is the one which is next to one of the two side faces of thebase 23. - In a third, closing step, the closing means 28 and the complementary closing means 38 are associated and cooperate to close the
cover 12 on thebase 11, preventing the accidental opening of thecontainer 10 when it is handled upon its storage or its purchase; in this third step, the sealing means 26 are associated with and/or connected to the complementary sealing means 36 and cooperate with the closing means 28 and with the complementary closing means 38 for airtight closing thecover 12 on thebase 11. - In the embodiment of the
container 10 of the invention which comprises an upperperipheral flange 25 obtained on theupper edge 24 of thebase 11 and a lowerperipheral flange 35 obtained on thelower edge 34 of thecover 12, the upper 25 and lower 35 peripheral flanges are mutually in contact at the end of the third closing step. - Advantageously in the embodiment of the
container 10 of the invention which comprises the sealing means 26 and the complementary sealing means 36 that extend for the whole length of the sides respectively of thebase 11 and of thecover 12, stiffening the structure of thebase 11 and of thecover 12 of thecontainer 10, allow closing thecover 12 on the base 11 with a single operation, without requiring the closing of the single closing means 28 with the respective complementary closing means 38. - The closing of the
cover 12 on thebase 11 of thecontainer 10 is obtained by an operator with a single operation by exerting a pressure on thecover 12, thereby closing it on the base 11 associating and/or connecting the closing means 28 to the respective complementary closing means 38. - In particular, in the embodiment of the
container 10 of the invention which comprises the sealing means composed of a projectinggroove 26 and the complementary sealing means 36 composed of a recessed groove, at the end of the third losing step, the projectinggroove 26 is completely inserted inside the recessedgroove 36, with the external surface of the projectinggroove 26 in contact with the surface of the recessedgroove 36; advantageously, thecover 12, being airtight closed on thebase 11, prevents the formation of condensate inside thecontainer 10. - In the embodiment of the
container 10 of the invention comprising closing means composed ofprojections 28 obtained on the sealing means 26 and complementary closing means composed ofrecesses 38 obtained on the complementary sealing means 36, in the third closing step theprojections 28 are caught in therecesses 38 obtained on the complementary sealing means 36, and close thecover 12 on thebase 11 of thecontainer 10. - In this case, the operator performs the closing of the
cover 12 on thebase 11 of thecontainer 10 with a single operation, exerting a pressure on thecover 12, thereby making it close on thebase 11 by catching theprojections 28 obtained for example on the projectinggroove 26 into therecesses 38 obtained for example on the recessedgroove 36. - In the embodiment of the
container 10 of the invention comprising closing means composed ofprojections 28 obtained on the sealing means 26 and complementary closing means composed ofrecesses 38 obtained on the complementary sealing means 36, the sealing means and the closing means cooperate to make it possible to close thecover 12 on the base 11 with a single operation. - Advantageously, the embodiment of the
container 10 of the invention which comprises the stiffening means of thecover 39 made next to the edges of thefront face 31 of thecover 12 and the stiffening means of the base 29 made next to therear face 21 of thebase 11 has a stronger stiffness of thecover 12 and of thebase 10, allowing an easier closing of thecover 12 on thebase 11 of the container with a single operation. - Advantageously, also the reinforcing
ribs 41 obtained on thelower face 22 and/or on therear face 21 of thebase 11, which stiffen and toughen the structure of thebase 11, allow an easier closing of thecover 12 on thebase 11 of the container with a single operation, in addition to preventing the product from adhering to thebase 11 of thecontainer 10. - Moreover, the side faces 23 and 33 of the base and of the cover, in the embodiment of the invention in which each of them is composed of two triangular walls with the outwards projecting
contact side 27 of the two walls, increasing the stiffness and the sturdiness of thebase 11 and of thecover 12, enabling the closing of thecontainer 10 of the invention with a single operation. - Advantageously, the embodiment of the
container 10 of the invention which comprises the side faces 23, 33 of the base and of the cover each composed of two triangular walls having the outwards projectingcontact side 27 of the two walls so that the side faces 23, 33 of the base and of the cover project outwards, and which further comprises the stiffening means 39 of the cover adapted to make thefront face 31 project outwards and the stiffening means 29 of the base adapted to make therear face 21 project outwards, prevents the product contained in thecontainer 10 from adhering to thefaces container 10. - The embodiment of the
container 10 of the invention which comprises the reinforcingelement 42 having asurface 44 recessed with respect to thefront face 31 of thecover 12, obtained in the central part of thefront face 31 next to thelower edge 34, has the advantage of preventing thecover 12 from opening following a compression of thelower face 22 of thebase 11, preventing the distortion of thelower face 22 and the opening of thecontainer 10.
