Description

CENTRALIZED SYSTEM FOR THE SERVICE INSIDE HOMES OR THE LIKE
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a centralized system for the service inside homes or the like.
Background Art
The use of particular service systems is known and increasingly widespread that, once installed inside a home, allow the detection and management of sudden and undesired events such as, e.g., the break in of thieves inside a home, the spread of smoke or the flooding of one or more rooms.
Typically, such service systems of known type envisage the use of a special control unit installable on the wall inside one of the rooms of the house, having an interface able to allow the modification of the settings and the verification and reading of any available information and reports.
It is well known, in particular, to provide the control unit itself with a display suitable for the display of information and with a series of control buttons.
To the control unit a plurality of sensors are commonly connected, suitably located within the various rooms of the house to monitor.
Such sensors may comprise, e.g.: ceiling sensors for smoke detection, sensors for flooding detection, volumetric, perimeter anti-break in sensors or of another type.
In addition, the control unit is commonly connected to a remote operational station able to collect all the information related to the user, to the special services provided to the specific user and information related to the home, and able to manage the reports and any intervention in case abnormal events being detected.
For example, the control unit inside the home can be connected to the remote station through a conventional data/voice line, the type of a conventional GSM line or the like.
In addition, through a special button on the control unit, calls can be made to an operator of an external service center.
Typically, in addition to the notification of messages via the control unit display, the remote operational station is able to send alerts regarding potentially dangerous situations even by sms or phone calls on one or more mobile or smart phones indicated by the user.
This allows to send notifications to the user even when he/she is outside home. However, known service systems are susceptible of improvements aimed in particular at improving the method of notification to the user, as well as the quality of the notified information.
Description of the Invention
The main aim of the present invention is to provide a centralized system for the service inside homes or the like which allows to improve the method of sending notifications to the user.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a centralized system for the service inside homes or the like which allows to improve the quality and detail of the information notified to the user.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a centralized system for the service inside homes or the like which allows to overcome the mentioned drawbacks of the prior art within the ambit of a simple, rational, easy, effective to use and low cost solution.
The objects stated above are achieved by the present centralized system for the service inside homes or the like according to the characteristics described in claim 1.
Brief Description of the Drawings
Other characteristics and advantages of the present invention will become more evident from the description of a preferred but not exclusive embodiment of a centralized system for the service inside homes or the like, illustrated by way of an indicative but non-limiting example, in the accompanying drawings, in which:
Figure 1 is a general block diagram of the system according to the invention. Embodiments of the Invention
With particular reference to Figure 1, globally indicated with 1 is a centralized system generally usable generally for servicing users inside homes, usable e.g. for the processing and sending of personalized communications and for the detection and management of sudden and undesired events such as, e.g., the break in of thieves inside homes, the spread of smoke or the flooding of one or more rooms.
The system 1 comprises a control unit 2 installable inside a home, e.g. on a wall, and a plurality of sensor devices 3 installed and suitably located inside the various rooms of the home to be monitored and operatively connected to the control unit 2.
In particular, the sensor devices 3 can be composed of one or more sensors for smoke detection, one or more sensors for flooding detection, one or more anti- break in sensors of the volumetric, perimeter type or of other type such as, e.g., at least a camera for the collection of images.
The camera, in particular, can be integrated within the control unit 2 or can be composed of an external camera connected to the control unit 2 itself and located in a different room.
The use of sensor devices of different type cannot however be ruled out.
The system 1 also comprises a remote control station 4 operatively connected to the control unit 2 and having a storage unit 5 able to store information related to the users U of the system 1, to the special services provided to the specific users U and/or to information related to homes inside which the control units 2 are installed.
Advantageously, the system 1 comprises a digital receiver device 6, the type of a digital decoder or the like, connectable to at least a television T inside the home and operatively connected to the remote control station 4.
In addition, the control station 4 comprises generation means 7 able to generate and send messages M to the digital receiver device 6 and the digital receiver 6 comprises display means for displaying such a message on the television T. In this way, the system 1 is able to send signaling messages M directly on the screen of television T inside the home.
In particular, the system 1 can display on the television T, through the digital receiver 6, signaling messages M of abnormal events or of any potential hazards detected by one or more of the sensors 3.
Furthermore, the messages M sent from the control station 4 and displayed by the digital receiver 6 on the television T can be used to signal to one or more users U deadlines and activities to be carried out.
The system 1 also comprises a distribution station 8 of a digital signal operatively interposed between the control station 4 and the digital receiver 6, managed e.g. by a conventional provider of digital terrestrial television services or digital satellite television services.
In particular, the distribution station 8 has receiving means 9 of the message M from the remote control station 4 and sending means 10 of the message M to the digital receiver device 6.
Advantageously, in case of use of a camera 3 located in front of the television T or at other points within different rooms of the house, the same can be used to check whether or not the user U performs a requested action through the sending and displaying of a message M on the television T.
Referring, purely by way of example, to the use of the system 1 in medicine, the message M sent and displayed on the television T can be used to remind the user U that a deadline for taking a particular drug is approaching and to ask the user U to take this drug.
In this case, therefore, the camera 3 can be used to check whether the user U actually takes the drug.
Conveniently, the images taken by the camera 3 can be displayed on the television T' of another user U' who acts as a controller. The transmission of any further messages M' and images to the television T' can be made via a further digital receiver 6' and through the provider 8 of digital terrestrial or satellite services.
Conveniently, the control unit comprises at least a user interface able to allow the modification of the settings of the system 1 and/or the verification and reading of information and reports related to the system itself.
For example, the user interface can be composed of a display 11 and of one or more control buttons 12.
Conveniently, the system 1 can comprise a remote service center 13 operatively connected to the control unit 2 and, possibly, to the control station 4.
In particular, preferably, the control unit 2 has means for the voice communication with the service center. Such means for voice communication can comprise, e.g., a call button 14, a microphone and a loudspeaker integrated in the control unit 2 itself.
Conveniently, both the control unit 2 and a possible camera 3 can be integrated within the digital receiver 6.
The system 1 can also comprise one or more portable communication devices 15 operatively connected to the control station 4. Such portable communication devices can be composed, e.g., of mobile phones, smart phones, personal computers or similar devices.
The communication between the control unit 2 and the control station 4 can occur through a conventional telecommunications network 16. For example, such communication can be made by means of a conventional data/voice line, the type of a GSM line or the like.
Conveniently, also, the control station 4 can be operatively connected to an external service station 17 able to use the data and information collected by the remote station for the provision of services such as, e.g., insurance services, remote medical services or other.
It has in practice been observed how the described invention achieves the proposed objects.
In particular, the fact is underlined that the system according to the invention, in particular the possibility to send personalized messages through a conventional digital transmission channel and through a conventional television, enables to improve the sending method of notifications to the user and improve the quality and detail of the information notified to the user.
