Abstract

A coke scraper ring (18) for placement proximate to a top dead center (24) in a cylinder (13) of an internal combustion engine (10) is disclosed. The coke scraper ring (18) includes an inner surface (34) configured to face a fuel-air mixture. A plurality of turbulators (20) are formed on the inner surface (34) for inducing turbulence in the fuel-air mixture.
