  • Floating drilling platforms are sometimes used for offshore drilling operations and include a hoisting system for raising and lowering equipment, such as a drill string, to a subsea wellsite. Because these platforms float at the surface of the water and are not anchored to the seabed with legs, the platforms can vertically rise and fall (i.e., heave) with waves in the water. Heave compensation can be used to counteract the vertical heaving motion and reduce movement of the drill string or other hoisted load with respect to the seabed.

  • all-hydraulic cylinder rigs can be used for hoisting functions, they can have certain drawbacks, such as the complexity of the hydraulics, the size and expense of a hydraulic power unit sufficient for the rig, and the piping and cylinders required to provide both the main hoisting function (which may require about 180 feet of vertical travel) and the heave compensating system.
  • certain embodiments disclosed herein include an electrically driven winch or drawworks for normal hoisting functions and active heave compensation combined with a hydraulic passive heave compensating system with much less complexity than the all-hydraulic designs. This reduction in complexity enables lighter hoisting systems to be used and facilitates installation and servicing. The present systems may also have reduced power consumption compared to certain previous designs.
  • moving the passive heave compensation system to the drill floor from high in the derrick provides a lower center of gravity.
  • single-part lines in some embodiments enables a faster hoisting speed while maintaining a reasonable rotation speed of the drum of the winch.

Claims (15)

  1. Un appareil comprenant :
    un treuil comportant un tambour rotatif (26) et un système de compensation de pilonnement, tous deux dotés d'un dispositif d'entrée d'entraînement actif (122) permettant de compenser le pilonnement et d'un dispositif d'entrée d'entraînement passif (124) permettant aussi de compenser le pilonnement, dans lequel le système de compensation de pilonnement est accouplé au tambour rotatif de manière à ce que le dispositif d'entrée d'entraînement actif et le dispositif d'entraînement passif puissent être chacun utilisés pour entraîner la rotation du tambour rotatif en réponse au mouvement de pilonnement du treuil ;
    dans lequel le treuil comprend un système d'engrenage planétaire qui comporte une roue solaire (104), une couronne (98) et un ou plusieurs engrenages planétaires (102), les engrenages planétaires étant accouplés au tambour rotatif (26) et le système de compensation de pilonnement est accouplé au tambour rotatif par l'intermédiaire du système d'engrenage planétaire pour permettre au système d'engrenage planétaire de convertir les entrées mécaniques provenant des dispositifs d'entrée d'entraînement actif et passif en sortie mécanique pour commander l'enroulement d'une ligne de levage à partir du tambour rotatif ;
    caractérisé en ce que la roue solaire (104) est accouplée soit au dispositif d'entrée d'entraînement actif soit au dispositif d'entrée d'entraînement passif tandis que la couronne (98) est accouplée à l'autre dispositif parmi le dispositif d'entrée d'entraînement actif et le dispositif d'entrée d'entraînement passif.
  2. L'appareil selon la revendication 1, dans lequel le dispositif d'entrée d'entraînement actif comprend un ou plusieurs moteurs électriques (78) fournissant à la fois un entraînement pour le treuil et une compensation active de pilonnement
  3. L'appareil selon la revendication 1 ou la revendication 2, dans lequel le dispositif d'entrée d'entraînement passif comprend un cylindre hydraulique (82) ou un moteur hydraulique (138).
  4. L'appareil selon la revendication 1, la revendication 2 ou la revendication 3, dans lequel le ou les engrenages planétaires (102) sont accouplés au tambour rotatif (26) par l'intermédiaire d'un support (106) relié au ou aux engrenages planétaires de telle sorte que le support tourne et entraîne la rotation du tambour rotatif lorsque le ou les engrenages planétaires orbitent la roue solaire.
  5. L'appareil selon la revendication 1, la revendication 2 ou la revendication 3, dans lequel le dispositif d'entrée d'entraînement passif comprend au moins un cylindre hydraulique (82) dans un ensemble configuré pour permettre à l'au moins un cylindre hydraulique de provoquer la rotation de la couronne (98) en réponse à un mouvement de pilonnement d'un support de forage flottant (12) doté du système de levage.
  6. L'appareil selon la revendication 1, la revendication 2 ou la revendication 3, dans lequel le dispositif d'entrée d'entraînement passif comprend au moins un moteur hydraulique (138) accouplé à la couronne (98) par l'intermédiaire d'un engrenage supplémentaire pour permettre à l'au moins un moteur hydraulique de causer la rotation de la couronne par l'intermédiaire de l'engrenage supplémentaire en réponse à un mouvement de pilonnement d'un support de forage flottant (12) doté du système de levage.
  7. L'appareil selon la revendication 6, comprenant au moins une bouteille de stockage de gaz (146) accouplée à l'au moins un moteur hydraulique (138) et à un système d'alimentation hydraulique accouplé à l'au moins un moteur hydraulique pour permettre au système d'alimentation hydraulique de commander activement le déplacement du moteur hydraulique pour réguler une valeur de charge de compensation de l'au moins un moteur hydraulique tout en maintenant une pression constante à l'intérieur de l'au moins une bouteille de stockage de gaz.
  8. L'appareil selon la revendication 1, la revendication 2 ou la revendication 3, dans lequel le dispositif d'entrée d'entraînement passif comprend au moins un cylindre hydraulique (82) accouplé à la roue solaire (104) par l'intermédiaire d'un vilebrequin.
  9. L'appareil selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, comprenant un système de levage comportant le treuil à tambour rotatif, un moufle fixe (24) et la ligne de levage (20).
  10. L'appareil selon la revendication 9, dans lequel la ligne de levage (20) est enroulée sur le moufle fixe (24) et agencé sous la forme d'une ligne en une partie.
  11. L'appareil selon la revendication 9, comprenant un moufle mobile suspendu au moufle fixe (24) par l'intermédiaire de la ligne de levage, et la ligne de levage est enroulée entre le moufle fixe (24) et le moufle mobile dans un agencement de ligne en deux parties.
  12. L'appareil selon l'une quelconque des revendications 9 à 11, comprenant un support flottant (12) doté du système de levage.
  13. Procédé consistant à :
    raccorder une charge au système de levage. y compris un tambour rotatif (26) d'un support flottant (12) ;
    utiliser le système de levage pour positionner la charge ; détecter le pilonnement du support flottant (12) ;
    appliquer une compensation active du pilonnement par un dispositif d'entrée d'entraînement actif du pilonnement (122) à un treuil (22) du système de levage en fonction du pilonnement détecté afin de réduire le mouvement relatif de la charge par rapport au fond marin en dessous du support flottant suite au pilonnement ; et
    appliquer une compensation passive du pilonnement par un dispositif d'entraînement passif (124) au treuil afin de réduire le mouvement relatif de la charge par rapport au fond marin suite au pilonnement ;
    dans lequel la compensation active du pilonnement et la compensation passive du pilonnement sont appliquées au treuil du système de levage par le biais d'un système d'engrenage planétaire comprenant une roue solaire, une couronne et un ou plusieurs engrenages planétaires, les engrenages planétaires étant accouplés au tambour rotatif.
    caractérisé en ce que la roue solaire (104) est accouplée soit au dispositif d'entrée d'entraînement actif soit au dispositif d'entrée d'entraînement passif tandis que la couronne (98) est accouplée à l'autre dispositif parmi le dispositif d'entrée d'entraînement actif et le dispositif d'entrée d'entraînement passif
  14. Le procédé selon la revendication 13, dans lequel l'application de compensation passive du pilonnement au treuil du système de levage comprend le fonctionnement d'une pompe hydraulique pour entraîner la roue solaire ou la couronne du système d'engrenage planétaire.
  15. Le procédé selon la revendication 13 ou la revendication 14, dans lequel la connexion de la charge au système de levage comprend la connexion d'un entraînement supérieur au système de levage.
