Description

    Background of the invention
  • The invention concerns a device for positioning interior blind slats, especially window blind slats.
  • State of the art
  • According to the state of the art the positioning of the blind slats, meaning lifting, lowering and tilting, is performed by bendable parts, either cords or chains which dangle along the window. This way controlled blinds with dangling bendable parts are unsatisfactory in terms of safety because there is a possibility of formation of loops. Especially for small children the dangling of bendable parts is dangerous.
  • In EP 2 522 805 A2 a bead chain type pull cord mechanism for a window shade is presented which contains a hollow rod with a bendable member and longitudinal slot, the rod is provided with a slider arranged slidingly on the hollow rod which is hold in a position inside of the hollow rod by its shoulder and led by the longitudinal slot, whereas in the longitudinal slot a stop member with a spring protrudes slidingly into the slider. The chain is with one part of the chain in fixed connection with the slider and the stop member with a lever is still in tight contact with the other part of the chain. So the chain is constantly braked by the slider and only by pressing of the lever and overcoming of the resistance of the spring the chain can be released.
  • Summary of the invention
  • The aim of the invention is primarily to provide a device which is suitable in terms of safety, which is simple, reliable and which may be applied also for existing installed window blind slats with endless bendable parts.
  • The above mentioned drawbacks are eliminated by the device for positioning interior blind slats according to the subject-matter of claim 1, wherein there are two passages for the bendable members in the slider, wherein the pressure button protrudes into the passage which is close to the longitudinal slot and serves for holding of the bendable member during the manipulation with the slider and the hollow rod is on the other end provided with a brake.
  • In view of simplicity, it is appropriate if the brake consists of a body where a pressure clutch is slidingly placed which is loaded by a spring and connected with a control button. At the same time there is a passage for the bendable part between the pressure clutch and the body.
  • The advantage of the invention is that the length of the manipulating rod is independent of the length of the window blinds.
  • Detailed description of the drawings
  • The invention will be illustrated in more details by use of drawings, where in Fig. 1 there is a schematical front view of a device for positioning of interior blinds, Fig. 2 is a side view of the device for positioning of interior blinds, Fig.3 is a cross section of a slider in the position according to the Fig 2., Fig. 4 is a sectional view of the brake according to the line A-A of Fig. 2 and Fig. 5 is a set of a window blinds slats with the device for positioning of the interior blinds.
  • Preferred embodiment of the invention
  • The device for positioning of interior blinds, especially window blinds, as shown in Fig.1 and 2, consists of a hollow rod, for example a tube. The hollow rod 1 is provided with a longitudinal slot 2 and there is a brake 3 at one end and a pass-through joint 4 at another end provided with two pins 5 for hanging at an end piece 6 of a bearing profile 7 of blinds 8. The embodiment of the pass-through joint 4 can be of any known type. Embodiment of the brake 3 is in Fig.4. The brake 3 consists of a body 9 in which a pressure clutch 10 connected with a control button 11 is placed. There is a slot 12 between the pressure clutch 10 and the body 9 for passing-through of a bendable member 13. The pressure clutch 10 is permanently loaded by a spring 14 which pushes it into the slot 12 on to the bendable member 13.
  • There is a slider 15 slidingly arranged on the hollow rod 1 which is hold in a position inside of the hollow rod 1 by its shoulder 16 and led by the longitudinal slot 2, In the slider 15 there are two passages 17,18 arranged, whereby into one passage 17, which is close to the longitudinal slot 2 a button 19 protrudes, which is slidingly arranged in the slider 15 and it serves to hold the bendable member 13 during the manipulation with the slider 15, as it is evident from the arrangement in Fig.3.
  • In a preferred embodiment the device for positioning interior blinds is hung by a pair of pins 5 in the end piece 20 of the bearing profile 7 of the blinds 8 , as illustrated in Fig.5. The bendable member 13, whether it is a cord or a chain, is led to a blinds roller 21 of a drive 22 of the blinds 8 and through the pass-throught joint 4 is led through the passages 17, 18 to the brake 3. Operating of the slats 23 is performed by the bendable member 13 in such a way that the button 19 on the slider 14 clamps one branch of the bendable member 13 in the passage 17 of the slider's shoulder 16. By simultaneous pressing of the control button 11 of the brake 3 it is possible during shifting of the driver 15 upwards or downwards by the bendable member 13 to rotate the blinds roller 21 of the drive 22 of the blinds 8 what causes raising or lowering of the blinds 8. Tilting of the slats 23 is possible by a slight movement of the slider 15 up or down. Positioning of the slats 23 is thus identical with the current operating, it means only with the bendable member 13.
  • Industrial applicability
  • The invention is intended for the positioning the blinds, controlled by the bendable member which complies with safety measures.

Claims (2)

  1. Device for positioning interior blind slats, especially window blinds, which contains a hollow rod (1) with a bendable member (13) and longitudinal slot (2), the rod (1) is at one end provided with a pass-through joint (4) with pins (5) provided for fastening at one end piece (6) of a bearing profile (7) at another end, further it contains a slider (15) arranged slidingly on the hollow rod (1) which is held in a position inside of the hollow rod (1) by its shoulder (16) and led by the longitudinal slot (2), whereas in the longitudinal slot (2) a pressure button (19) protrudes slidingly into the slider (15), characterized in that in the slider (15) there are two passages (17,18) for the bendable member (13), wherein the pressure button (19) protrudes into the passage (17) which is close to the longitudinal slot (2) and serves for holding of the bendable member (13) during the manipulation with the slider (15) and the hollow rod (1) is on the other end provided with a brake (3).
  2. Device for positioning interior blind slats, especially window blinds, according to the claim 1, characterized in that the brake (3) consists of a body (9) in which a pressure clutch (10) is slidingly arranged, which is loaded by a spring (14) and which is connected with the pressure button (19), whereas there is a passage for the bendable member (13) between the pressure clutch (10) and the body (9).
