FIG. 8 , blade width WA ofcontact part 42 of each fixedblade 40 is longer than a length obtained by adding interval P between two adjacentmovable blades 50, which aremovable blades movable blade 50. - With reference to
FIG. 8 to FIG. 10 , action of trimmingblade 30 is described. - Trimmer 1 (refer to
FIG. 1 ) is used without mounting of an attachment (not illustrated) on body 10 (refer toFIG. 1 ). -
FIG. 9 is a sectional view illustrating a case where a user cuts hairs while making the side of fixedblades 40 of trimmingblade 30 abut onskin 100. As illustrated inFIG. 9 , when trimmer 1 (refer toFIG. 1 ) is operated whilethick part 45 of each fixedblade 40 is abutted onskin 100, in a case where firstmovable blade 50a is located on one of fixed blade grooves 41 (refer toFIG. 8 ), force for warping fixedblades 40 is applied to fixedblades 40. - At this time, second
movable blade 50b comes into contact with first fixedblade 40a. The force for warping fixedblades 40 is received by secondmovable blades 50b and first fixedblade 40a that come into contact with each other. Therefore, even when the above force is applied, fixedblades 40 are unlikely to warp. - As a result, entering of first
movable blade 50a into one of fixedblade grooves 41, namely, a state illustrated by a two-dot chain line inFIG. 8 is suppressed, and blade edges 53 ofmovable blades 50 and blade edges 43 of fixedblades 40 are unlikely to interfere with each other. -
FIG. 10 is a sectional view illustrating a case where the user cuts hairs while making the side ofmovable blades 50 of trimmingblade 30 abut onskin 100. As illustrated inFIG. 10 , when trimmer 1 (refer toFIG. 1 ) is operated while the side ofmovable blades 50 is abutted onskin 100, in a case where firstmovable blade 50a is located on one of fixed blade grooves 41 (refer toFIG. 8 ), force for warpingmovable blades 50 is applied tomovable blades 50. - At this time, second
movable blade 50b comes into contact with first fixedblade 40a. The force for warpingmovable blades 50 is received by secondmovable blade 50b and first fixedblade 40a that come into contact with each other. Therefore, even when the above force is applied, firstmovable blade 50a is unlikely to warp. - As a result, entering of first
movable blade 50a into one of fixedblade grooves 41, namely, the state illustrated by the two-dot chain line inFIG. 8 is suppressed, and blade edges 53 ofmovable blades 50 and blade edges 43 of fixedblades 40 are unlikely to interfere with each other. - According to trimming
blade 30, the following effects are further obtained. - (1) In a case where one part of first
movable blade 50a is located on one of fixedblade grooves 41, and the other part of firstmovable blade 50a is located on second fixedblade 40b, even when the one part of firstmovable blade 50a is supported by second fixedblade 40b, there is a fear that the other part of firstmovable blade 50a enters one of fixedblade grooves 41 depending on magnitude of load applied to firstmovable blade 50a.
According to trimmingblade 30, in a case where at least one of blade edges 53 of firstmovable blade 50a is located on one of fixedblade grooves 41, force applied to firstmovable blade 50a is received by secondmovable blade 50b and first fixedblade 40a that come into contact with each other, and therefore a fear that firstmovable blade 50a enters one of fixedblade grooves 41 is further reduced. - (2) According to trimming
blade 30, a whole of secondmovable blade 50b comes into contact with first fixedblade 40a. Therefore, in a case where firstmovable blade 50a is located on one of fixedblade grooves 41, an area where load to secondmovable blade 50b is received is wide compared to a case where only one part of secondmovable blade 50b comes into contact with first fixedblade 40a. Therefore, movable blades 50 or fixedblades 40 are further unlikely to warp. - (3) In a case where first fixed
blade 40a and second fixedblade 40b are different in surface roughness, in a case that secondmovable blade 50b and thirdmovable blade 50c which are in a state where one of or both of secondmovable blade 50b and thirdmovable blade 50c are warped come into contact with fixedblades 40, there is a fear that firstmovable blade 50a then enters one of fixedblade grooves 41.
On the other hand, there is a case where each surface roughness, of fixedblades 40, on contact surfaces withmovable blades 50 is different from one another. Herein, when an arbitrary one of fixedblades 40 is assumed as a reference fixed blade, fixedblades 40 which are positionally closer to this reference fixed blade are likely to have surface roughness similar to the same of the reference fixed blade.
According to trimmingblade 30, secondmovable blade 50b comes into contact with first fixedblade 40a, and thirdmovable blade 50c comes into contact with second fixedblade 40b, and therefore thosemovable blades 50 are unlikely to warp. Therefore, the fear that firstmovable blade 50a enters one of fixedblade grooves 41 is further reduced. - (4) According to trimming
blade 30, the maximum blade width of eachmovable blade 50 is narrower than the width of each fixedblade groove 41. Therefore, it is possible to increase a number ofmovable blades 50 included inmovable plate 33, compared to a case where the maximum blade width of eachmovable blade 50 is wider than the width of each fixedblade groove 41. Therefore, an amount of hairs that can be cut per single reciprocating motion ofmovable plate 33 is increased. - (5) According to trimming
blade 30, blade width WA ofcontact part 42 of each fixedblade 40 is longer than the length obtained by adding interval P between two adjacentmovable blades 50 to blade width WB of eachmovable blade 50. Therefore, a number ofmovable blades 50 that can come into contact with single fixedblade 40 is increased compared to a case where blade width WA of each fixedblade 40 is smaller than the length obtained by adding interval P between two adjacentmovable blades 50 to blade width WB of eachmovable blade 50. As a result, movable blades 50 or fixedblades 40 are further unlikely to warp. - (6) According to trimming
blade 30,thick part 45 is formed infront end part 44 of each fixedblade 40, and therefore blade edges 43 of each fixedblade 40 are unlikely to come into contact withskin 100 in a case where the user makes the side of fixedblades 40 abut onskin 100. Therefore, skin 100 is unlikely to be stimulated. - (7) According to trimming
blade 30,thick part 45 swells on the side opposite tomovable blades 50 offront end part 44. Therefore, when a surface, on the side ofmovable blades 50, of each fixedblade 40 is subjected to finish-machining,thick part 45 does not prevent operation of a tool that performs the finish-machining. As a result, the surface, on the side ofmovable blades 50, of each fixedblade 40 is easily subjected to the machining, and machining accuracy of the surface is improved, compared to a case wherethick part 45 swells on the side ofmovable blades 50 offront end part 44. - (8) According to trimming
blade 30, length LA ofthick part 45 is shorter than length LB offront end part 44. Therefore, a length of each hair after cutting in a case where cutting is performed while the side of fixedblades 40 is abutted on the target region is determined by thickness TA ofcontact part 42. Therefore, in a case where cutting is performed while the side of fixedblades 40 is abutted on the target region, each hair can be cut short. - (9) According to trimming
blade 30, the width ofthick part 45, which is the blade width offront end part 44 of each fixedblade 40, is wider than the blade width, on the side offront end part 44, ofcontact part 42. Therefore, movement of hairs flowing inmovable blade grooves 51 to outside is easily prevented bythick part 45 formed on each fixedblade 40. As a result, hairs moving to the outside are easily enteredmovable blade grooves 51 again, and then an amount of hairs that can be cut bymovable blades 50 is increased. - (10) According to trimming
blade 30, thickness TA ofcontact part 42 is substantially the same as thickness TB ofcontact part 52. Therefore, a length of each hair after cutting in a case where the cutting is performed while the side of fixedblades 40 is abutted on the target region, and a length of each hair after cutting in a case where the cutting is performed while the side ofmovable blades 50 is abutted on the target region are unlikely to vary. - (11) In a case where thickness TA of
contact part 42 of each fixedblade 40, and thickness TB ofcontact part 52 of eachmovable blade 50 are further reduced, when a load is applied thereto, the fixed blades and the movable blades are easily warped. However, according to trimmingblade 30, as described in above (1), secondmovable blade 50b, thirdmovable blade 50c, first fixedblade 40a and second fixedblade 40b receive the load, and therefore even when fixedblades 40 ormovable blades 50 are pressed against the target region, fixedblades 40 ormovable blades 50 are unlikely to warp.
Thus, according to trimmingblade 30, even when thickness TA ofcontact part 42 of each fixedblade 40, and thickness TB ofcontact part 52 of eachmovable blade 50 are further reduced, it is possible to reduce a fear that blade edges 53 ofmovable blades 50 and blade edges 43 of fixedblades 40 interfere with each other. - (12)
Movable blades 50 are pressed against fixedblades 40 byspring 24. Therefore, even when a load is applied tomovable blades 50 reciprocating, movable blades 50 are unlikely to be separated from fixedblades 40. Therefore, for example, even in a case where a large amount of hairs are cut, stable performance for cutting hairs is maintained. The higher a spring constant ofspring 24 is, the more easily this effect is obtained. - On the other hand, there is a fear that the force applied to
movable blades 50 byspring 24 warpsmovable blades 50. The higher the spring constant ofspring 24 is, the stronger this tendency is likely to become. However, according to trimmingblade 30, as described in above (1), secondmovable blade 50b, thirdmovable blade 50c, first fixedblade 40a, and second fixedblade 40b receive the load, and therefore warp ofmovable blades 50 caused by the force ofspring 24 is unlikely to be caused. - Thus, according to trimming
blade 30, it is possible to reduce a fear that blade edges 53 ofmovable blades 50 and blade edges 43 of fixedblades 40 cause interfere with each other. As a result, the spring constant ofspring 24 can be set to be high. - Specific modes which the trimmer blade according to this exemplary embodiment can take are not limited to the above exemplary embodiment. The trimmer blade according to this exemplary embodiment can take various modes different from the above exemplary embodiment. The following modification is an example of the various modes which the trimmer blade can take.
- A relation between thickness TA of
contact part 42 and thickness TB ofcontact part 52 is arbitrarily changeable. For example, thickness TA ofcontact part 42 is thinner than thickness TB ofcontact part 52. - According to fixed
blades 40 of the modification, a blade width offront end part 44 is substantially the same as a blade width, on a side offront end part 44, ofcontact part 42. According to fixedblades 40 of another modification, a blade width offront end part 44 is narrower than a blade width, on the side offront end part 44, ofcontact part 42. - According to
movable blades 50 of the modification, a blade width, on a side of front end, ofcontact part 52 is wider than a blade width on an intermediate or root side thereof. Therefore, movement of hairs flowing inmovable blade grooves 51 to outside is easily prevented by the blade width, on the front end side, ofcontact part 52. As a result, hairs flowing inmovable blade grooves 51 are easily cut bymovable blades 50. - Formation of
thick part 45 infront end part 44 of each fixedblade 40 is arbitrarily changeable. - A maximum number of
movable blades 50 that can come into contact with single fixedblade 40 is arbitrarily changeable. For example, the maximum number ofmovable blades 50 that can come into contact with single fixedblade 40 is either one or at least three. - A width of each fixed
blade groove 41 is arbitrarily changeable. - A width of each
movable blade groove 51 is arbitrarily changeable. - A maximum blade width of each
movable blade 50 of the modification is substantially the same as the width of each fixedblade groove 41. A maximum blade width of eachmovable blade 50 of another modification is wider than the width of each fixedblade groove 41. - In a case where first
movable blade 50a is located on one of fixedblade grooves 41, an area of secondmovable blade 50b that comes into contact with first fixedblade 40a is arbitrarily changeable. For example, in a case where firstmovable blade 50a is located on one of fixedblade grooves 41, one part of secondmovable blade 50b comes into contact with first fixedblade 40a. - Blade width WA of
contact part 42 of each fixedblade 40, the width of each fixedblade groove 41, blade width WB ofcontact part 52 of eachmovable blade 50, and the width of eachmovable blade groove 51 are arbitrarily changeable. According to trimmingblade 30 of the modification, in a case - where
movable blades 50 are operated, the above four widths are changed so as to obtain the following relation. - According to trimming
blade 30 of the modification, for example, in a case where a center line in a short side direction of firstmovable blade 50a is located on one of fixedblade grooves 41, secondmovable blade 50b comes into contact with first fixedblade 40a. - According to trimming
blade 30 of another modification, for example, in a case where one part of firstmovable blade 50a is located on one of fixedblade grooves 41, secondmovable blade 50b comes into contact with first fixedblade 40a. - In this case, when the one part of first
movable blade 50a moves onto one of fixedblade grooves 41 from second fixedblade 40b, secondmovable blade 50b comes into contact with first fixedblade 40a. Until a whole of firstmovable blade 50a moves onto first fixedblade 40a, secondmovable blade 50b continues to be in contact with first fixedblade 40a. - Appendix (1) A trimmer blade described in any one of Appendixes (1) to (6), in which a fixed blade includes a contact part that comes into contact with a movable blade, a front end part located on a side closer to a front end than the contact part, and a thick part formed in the front end part.
- Appendix (2) The trimmer blade described in Appendix (1), in which the thick part swells on a side opposite to a side, close to the movable blade, of the fixed blade.
- Appendix (3) The trimmer blade described in Appendix (1) or (2), in which a length, in a longitudinal direction of the fixed blade, of the thick part is shorter than a length of the front end part.
- Appendix (4) The trimmer blade described in any one of Appendixes (1) to (3), in which at least one part of a blade width of the front end part is wider than a blade width, on a side of the front end part, of the contact part.
- Appendix (5) The trimmer blade described in any one of Appendixes (1) to (4), in which a thickness of the contact part is substantially the same as a thickness of a part, in contact with the contact part, of the movable blade.
- As described above, the trimmer according to the present disclosure can be used as barbering related products.
