Abstract

Überwachung von einem LED-Strang oder -Strängen (11, 12) einer LED-Einheit für Lichtsignalgeber mit erster Schalteinrichtung (21) mit einer Funktion zum Anschließen des ersten der LED-Stränge (11) an einen ersten Stromquellenpol (31) und zweiter Schalteinrichtung (22) mit einer Funktion zum Anschließen des zweiten der LED-Stränge (12) an einen zweiten Stromquellenpol (32), welche Stränge bei alternierendem Einschalten zwischen je einer der ersten und zweiten Schalteinrichtungen (21, 22) und einen Gegenpol (4) geschaltet sind,
mit einer ersten Spannungsmessung der Dioden-Flussspannung des ersten LED-Strangs (11) bei Anschluss an den ersten Stromquellenpol (31) mit der ersten Schalteinrichtung (21) und einer zweiten Spannungsmessung der Dioden-Flussspannung des zweiten LED-Strangs (12) bei Anschluss an den zweiten Stromquellenpol (32) mit der zweiten Schalteinrichtung (22), und dahingehend, ob ein Absolutwert einer Spannungsdifferenz
- zwischen den mit den ersten und zweiten Spannungsmessungen ermittelten Dioden-Flussspannungen einen ersten Schwellenwert bis zu einem Zeitpunkt nach Einschalten der LED-Einheit überschreitet oder
- von Dioden-Flussspannungen, die in unterschiedlichen Einschaltphasen von einem der LED-Stränge (11, 12) wenigstens teilweise von einer der Spannungsmessungen gemessen sind, nach dem Zeitpunkt einen zweiten Schwellenwert überschreitet.
