Description

SPORTS EQUIPMENT FORMED WITH JOINING ELEMENT
The subject of the invention is sports equipment formed with joining element, that allows forming of sports equipment from ladder elements and joining elements in a simple and quick way in the plane or in three dimensions, which can be varied easily by simply attaching the fixing spikes of the ladder element into the fixing recesses of the joining element.
Many tools are available for sport exercises, but most of them are rather expensive. The trainers in schools prefer the use of simple tools, which in the given case can be used in many different ways as a result of their variability.
According to the state of art, the Hungarian utility model HU U 4021 makes known sports equipment, which is composed of joining elements and ladder elements. This sports equipment is characterised by self closing ladder elements formed from arched hollow square profiles which are provided with arched grooves, where the said ladder elements are fixed into the fixing elements of the connecting components in a shape closing manner, which connecting components are formed from two flexible fixing elements that are adhered together, and from upper bracing element in a way, that arched bent parts of the upper arched shanks of the flexible fixing elements are fastened into the guide rail of the upper bracing element is a shape closing manner, and stabilizer slip- preventers are fastened by means of adhering to the external surface of lower arched shanks of the two flexible fastening elements that are formed with arched bent parts.
The Hungarian patent application P 92 00641 makes known sports equipment suitable for making exercising and strengthening of human muscles, which has a supporting structure and supplementary tools connected to the supporting structure. The sports equipment according to this solution is characterised by a supporting structure, which is composed of multiple parts that can be fitted together by means of sliding, it has a muscle manipulating structure consisting of concentrically located semi -circular elements that are fitted to each other with slide bearing and are connected to the supporting structure, and also has handle(s) connected to the innermost element of the muscle manipulating structure, a waist supporting element and a foot rest which is connected in an adjustable manner to the fixing element located on the innermost element.
The drawback of the solutions introduced above is that the connecting of the element does not ensure suitable stable connection, and does not allow a sufficiently quick assembling or disassembling of the sports equipment, nor a safe use on the long run. By developing the solution according to the invention we had the objective to create sports equipment that can be varied in a simple way and quickly in the plane and in three dimensions, which ensures appropriate stable connection among the various parts, but at the same time, it allows an easy and quick disassembling and assembling.
During the development of the solution according to the invention we realized, that if sports equipment is formed with ladder elements and joining elements that join the ladder elements, where the ladder elements are connected with the help of the joining element for producing sport equipment, where the ladder elements consists of four identically shaped lateral edges, and there is a coupling part in each of the lateral edge, and fixing spikes are formed in the joining element opposite to each other, and one joining element is attached to each of the coupling part in the given case, and there are two parallel cylindrical voids formed in the joining element, in the fixing recess of which, located at its ends, the fixing spikes of the coupler part of the ladder element can be attached from above or from lateral direction, the set aim can be achieved.
The invention is a sports equipment formed with joining element, which is composed of ladder elements and joining elements, and the sports equipment can be formed by joining the ladder element with the help of joining elements. It is characterised by that, the ladder elements are composed of four identically formed lateral edges, and a connecting part is created in each lateral edge, and furthermore, fixing spikes are formed opposite to each other in the connecting parts, and in the given case a joining element is connected to each connecting part, which joining element is also connected to further ladder element, and there are two parallel cylindrical voids in the joining element, to the fixing recesses of which at their ends the fixing spikes in the connecting parts of the ladder element are connected, and furthermore, the fixing spikes located on the opposite fixing surfaces of the connecting parts formed in the lateral edges of the ladder element are connected into the fixing recess consisting of inclined rims next to the truncated rims formed with slide-in wedge from the fixing rims with cut out and fixing rims that in the given case encircle two thirds of the cylindrical voids, at the ends of the two parallel cylindrical voids in the body of the joining element from the slightly reducing tapered surfaces with a slight protrusion from the body of the joining element, where the fixing rim of the joining element of the assembled sports equipment is directly or indirectly fitted to the fixing surface of the fixing spike, and the fixing recesses of the joining element belonging to the same cylindrical void but located at the opposite side, are connected directly or indirectly on the fixing spikes formed on the opposite fixing surfaces of the same connecting part from lateral direction or from above in a way, that during assembling, as a result of a small force exerted laterally or from above on the joining element. the fixing spikes slide along the inclined rims of the fixing recesses and above the truncated rims, and they get positioned between the slide-in wedges on the reducing tapered surface, and another ladder element is connected to the fixing recesses belonging to the other cylindrical void of the joining element in a way described above.
In a preferred embodiment of the sports equipment according to the invention the fixing spike is formed with a tapered surface.

Fig. 1 shows the sports equipment 1 according to the invention with the simplest arrangement when two ladder elements 3 are connected. The sports equipment 1 shown in Fig. 1 has at least two ladder elements 3, each having four lateral edges 22, and having a joining element 2 which connects the ladder elements 3. Connecting parts 4 are formed in the lateral edges 22 of the ladder element 3 of the sports equipment 1 for attaching the joining element 2, and there are two fixing spikes 5 in each of this connecting part 4. It can be seen well in Fig. 1 , that the ladder elements 3 are connected with the help of the joining element 2, so that the joining element 2 is fitted into the connecting parts 4 of the ladder elements 3 being next to each other in a manner, that the fixing spikes 5 in the connecting parts 4 are fixed into the joining element 2. The detail "A" shown with dashed lines in Fig. 1 indicates the actual location of the connection made with the joining element 2.
Fig. 2 shows the top view of one ladder element 3 of the sports equipment 1 according to the invention. In the figure it is possible to see the ladder element 3 having lateral edges 22 with length LI and L2, as well as the connecting parts 4, each of which is provided with two fixing spikes 5 at about the middle of lateral edges 22 of the ladder element 3. It can be observed in the figure, that the width dimensions SI and S2 of the lateral edges 22 of the ladder element 3 are changing, meaning that the ladder element 3 has a width S 1 close to the corners, while its width S2 is larger at the centre of the lateral edges 22 in the vicinity of connecting part 4. The sum of width V2 of connecting part 4 and the width VI of ladder element 3 at the connecting part 4 is equal to the width S2, i.e. VI + V2 = S2. Detail "B" marked with a circle in Fig. 2 indicates one of the connecting part 4, which is provided with fixing spikes 5.
Fig 3. shows the enlarged version of detail "B" of ladder element 3 introduced in Fig. 2. The ladder element 3 with connecting part 4 having a length K can be seen in the figure. It can be seen well in Fig. 3, that the fixing spikes 5 are formed with tapered surface 18 on the fixing surfaces 19 of connecting part 4 that are aligned opposite to each other and have a width Z.
Fig. 4 shows the bottom view of one ladder element 3 of the sports equipment 1 according to the invention.
Fig. 5 shows view C-C of the sports equipment 1 according to the invention as introduced in Fig. 4.
Fig. 4 and 5 show ladder element 3, as well as the connecting parts 4 each of which is provided with two fixing spikes 5 located nearby the lateral edges 22 of the ladder element 3. Fig. 4 also shows the bracing ribs 6 formed at the lower part of the ladder element 3. It can be seen well in Fig. 5, that the thickness of the ladder element 3 varies, meaning that it has a larger thickness R2 at the connecting parts 4 because of the fitting of joining element 2, and it has a smaller width Rl at the corners of ladder element 3. Accordingly R2 > Rl .
Fig. 6 shows the top view with a cut out of a possible embodiment of the joining element 2 of the sports equipment 1 according to the invention. In Fig. 6 it is possible to see the body 7 of joining element 2 having a width Q, as well as the two parallel cylindrical voids 8 formed in the body 7, and the protrusion 12 of the anti-slide element 10 between the cylindrical voids 8. In the figure it is possible to see the fixing recesses 21 formed at the ends of cylindrical voids 8. as well as the slightly reducing tapered surface 14 at the end of cylindrical voids 8. The fixing rims 13 can also be seen, as well as the inclined rims 15 at the external edges of the cylindrical voids 8, which are formed by the truncated rims 16 and the slide-in wedges 9. In the figure it is also possible to see the openings 23 of the fixing rims 13, which openings 23 in this case are formed on the external parts of the joining element 2. In case of this embodiment, the fixing spikes 5 of the ladder elements 3 are fixed into the joining element 2 in lateral direction.
Fig. 7 shows the side view of joining element 2 of the sports equipment 1 according to the invention as introduced in Fig. 6. In the figure it can be seen the body 7 of the joining element 2 having thickness P and length M, and in the given case the anti-slide element 10 at the bottom of the joining element 2. The inclined rims 15 can be seen at the ends of the joining element 2, together with the truncated rim 16 and the fixing rims 13, as well as the openings 23 of the fixing rims 13.
Fig. 8 shows view D-D of joining element 2 as introduced in Fig. 6. In the figure it is possible to see the body 7 of the joining element 2, the parallel cylindrical void 8 formed in the body 7, and the protrusion 12 of the anti-slide element 10 located at the bottom of joining element 2 between the cylindrical voids 8, while the stabilizing part 11 of the anti-slide element 10 is aligned at the entire length and width at the bottom of the joining element 2.
The cylindrical voids 8 can be seen in Fig. 8, as well as the fixing recesses 21 formed at their ends. As can be well seen in the figure, there are tapered surfaces 14 that are slightly reduced in the direction of the cylindrical voids 8 at the ends of the cylindrical voids 8, and there are fixing rims 13 which encircle about two-third of the perimeter of the cylindrical voids 8, and the openings 23 of the fixing rims 13 can be seen. The openings 23 of the fixing rims 13 are formed from the fixing rims 13 with the help of slide-in wedges 9 formed at the ends of fixing rims 13. The truncated rims 16 and the inclined rims 15 are located at the part between the slide-in wedges 9, and there are tapered surfaces 20 formed for reasons of production technology. These tapered surfaces allow the simple removal of the production tools in case of injection moulding.
Fig. 9 shows an enlarged part of a possible embodiment of section "A" of the sports equipment 1 introduced in Fig. 1. In the figure it is possible to see the connecting parts 4 of the ladder element 3 aligned side by side, as well as the fixing recesses 21 of the joining element 2. The joining element 2 is connected to the adjacent connecting parts 4 of two ladder elements 3 in a way, that the fixing spikes 5 formed with tapered surface 18 on the fixing surfaces 19 of the connecting parts 4 are fitted primarily in the tapered surfaces 14 having a reducing diameter, while the joining element 2 is fixed into its fixing recesses 21.
It can be seen well in Fig. 9, that the inclination angle a of the tapered surface 18 of the fixing spike 5 and the inclination angle β of the tapered surface 14 are nearly the same or are identical. It is also possible to understand from the figure that the width Q of joining element 2 and the width Z of fixing surface 19 of ladder element 3 should be selected in a way, that the remaining distance H between two ladder elements 3 would be enough to connect the ladder elements 3, and to arrange them in the plane or in three dimensions. Accordingly, the width Q of the connecting element 2 should exceed a value equivalent to twice the width Z, i.e. Q > 2xZ.
Fig. 10 shows the possible position of the fixing spikes 5 on the ladder element 3 of the sports equipment 1 according to the invention, when it is fixed in the joining element 2 as shown in Fig. 6. In the figure it is possible to see the body 7 of the joining element 2 placed on the ground 17, as well as the parallel cylindrical voids 8 formed in the body 7, as well as the protrusion 12 of the anti-slide element 10 located at the bottom of the joining element 2 between the cylindrical voids 8. It can be seen that in this case the stabilizing part 1 1 of the anti-slip element 10 is positioned along the entire length and width at the bottom of joining element 2.
At the left cylindrical void 8 of the joining element 2 the placing of fixing spike 5 into the joining element 2 is depicted in a position when the fixing spike has already been pushed partly in the fixing recess 21 of the joining element 2. It can be seen in the figure, that the fixing spike 5 has already been slid inwards partly on the inclined rim 15, on the truncated rim 16 of joining element 2, and through the slide-in wedge 9. In this case the fixing spike 5 is placed into the fixing recess 21 of the joining element 2 from lateral direction.
At the right cylindrical void 8 of the joining element 2 the position of the fixing spike 5 in the joining element 2 is depicted after sliding in. It can be seen well, that after the fixing spike 5 has been slid into the joining element 2 on the inclined rim 15 and truncated rim 16 of the joining element 2 through the slide- in wedge 9, its positioning is ensured by the reducing tapered surface 14 of the joining element 2. This positioning is facilitated by the fact, that the inclination angle a of tapered surface 18 of the fixing spike 5 and the inclination angle β of the tapered surface 14 are nearly the same or are identical.
Fig. 1 1 shows the top view with a cut out of yet another possible embodiment of the joining element 2 of the sports equipment 1 according to the invention. In the figure it is possible to see the body 7 of the joining element 2, as well as the two parallel cylindrical voids 8 formed in body 7, as well as with the protrusion 12 of the anti-slide element 10 between the cylindrical voids 8.
As can be seen in the figure, there are fixing recesses 21 formed at the ends of cylindrical voids 8, and there are tapered surfaces 14 slightly reduced inwards in the direction of cylindrical voids 8 at the ends of the cylindrical voids 8. It is also possible to see the fixing rims 13, the inclined rims 15, the truncated rims 16 and the slide-in wedges 9.
Fig. 12 shows the lateral view of the joining element 2 of the sports equipment 1 according to the invention introduced in Fig. 1 1. In the figure it is possible to see the body 7 of the joining element 2, as well as with the anti-slide element 10 at the bottom of the joining element 2. At the ends of the joining element 2 it is possible to see the inclined rims 15, the truncated rim 16 and the fixing rims 13. as well as the slide-in wedges 9.
Fig. 13 shows view E-E of the joining element 2 as indicated in Fig. 1 1. In the figure it is possible to see the body 7 of joining element 2, the parallel cylindrical voids 8, the protrusion 12 of the anti-slide element 10 located at the bottom of the joining element 2 between the cylindrical voids 8, while the stabilizing part 1 1 of the anti-slide element 10 is aligned along the entire length and width at the bottom of the joining element 2.
In Fig. 13 it is possible to see the cylindrical voids 8, as well as the fixing recesses 21 formed at their ends. In the figure the tapered surfaces 14 formed at the ends of the cylindrical voids 8 can be seen well, as well as with fixing rims 13 encircling about two-third of the circumference of cylindrical voids 8, as well as the openings 23 of the fixing rims. From the fixing rims 13, the openings 23 of fixing rims 13 are formed with the help of slide-in wedges 9 located at the ends of the fixing rims 13. The truncated rims 16 and the inclined rims 15 are located on the part between the slide-in wedges 9.
Fig. 14 shows the enlarged detail with cut out of another possible embodiment of the detail "A" according to Fig. 1 of the sports equipment 1. In the figure it is possible to see the connecting parts 4 aligned next to each other of the two ladder elements 3, as well as the fixing recesses 21 of the joining element 2. The joining element 2 is fitted into the connecting parts 4 located next to each other of the two ladder elements 3 in a way, that the fixing spikes 5, formed with tapered surfaces 18 on the fixing surfaces 19 of the connecting parts 4, are fixed in the fixing recesses 21 of joining element 2, primarily by fitting in the tapered surfaces 14 having a reducing shape.
Fig. 15 shows the possible position of fixing spikes 5 located the ladder element 3 of the sports equipment 1 according to the invention, if the fixing is made into the connecting element 2 introduced in Fig. 1 1. In the figure it is possible to see the body 7 of the joining element 2 placed on the ground 17, as well as the parallel cylindrical voids 8 formed in body 7, as well as the protrusion 12 of the anti-slide element 10 located on the bottom of joining element 2 between the cylindrical voids 8. It can be seen in the present case that the stabilizing part 1 1 of the anti-slide element 10 is aligned along the entire length and width at the bottom of the joining element 2.
At the left cylindrical void 8 of the joining element 2 the insertion of fixing spike 5 into the joining element 2 is depicted, when the fixing spike 5 has already been pushed partly into the fixing recess 21 of the joining element 2. The fixing spike 5 has already been partly slid inwards on the inclined rim 15, truncated rim 16 of the joining element 2 and through the slide-in wedge 9. It can be seen in Fig. 15, that in this case the fixing spike 5 is inserted at the side opposite to the ground 17. The direction of insertion is shown by an arrow in the figure.
At the right cylindrical void 8 of the joining element 2 the insertion of fixing spike 5 into the joining element 2 is depicted after sliding in. It can be well seen, that after the fixing spike 5 has been slid into the joining element 2 on the inclined rim 15 and truncated rim 16 of the joining element 2 and through the slide-in wedge 9, then its positioning is ensured by the reducing tapered surface 14 of the joining element 2. This positioning is facilitated by the fact, that the inclination angle a of tapered surface 18 of the fixing spike 5 and inclination angle β of the tapered surface 14 are nearly the same or are identical.
Fig. 16 shows the top view of a possible joining of the sports equipment 1 according to the invention in planar arrangement. It can be seen in the figure, that in this case a number of ladder elements 3 are joined with the help of the joining element 2 one after another. It is of course possible to join additional ladder element 3 as required to any lateral edge 22 of the ladder element 3 with the help of joining element 2, thus producing a versatile individual joining arrangement in the plane or in three dimensions.
Fig. 17 shows the lateral view of a possible spatial assembling of the sports equipment 1 according to the invention. In this case the ladder elements 3 are connected in various arrangements with the help of joining elements 2 so that the ladder elements 3 are aligned vertically upward or downward at the joining elements 2. There is a ladder element 3 in the assembly, which is placed horizontally on the ground 17, and there are ladder elements, that are connected with the help of the joining elements 2 in a way, that the ladder elements 3 are aligned with and angle γ relative to the ground 17.
In case of an actual possible embodiment of the solution according of the invention the ladder element is made with lateral edges 22 having length LI and L2. Connecting parts 4 are formed at about the middle of the lateral edges 22 of the ladder element 3. The width of lateral edges 22 of the ladder element 3 varies. Ladder element 3 has a width SI near the corners, while the ladder element 3 has a width S2 nearby the middle of lateral edges 22 and nearby the connecting parts 4, furthermore, the sum of width V2 connecting parts 4 and the width VI at the connecting part 4 of the ladder element 3 equals to width S2, i.e. VI + V2 = S2.
The connecting part 4 is designed in a way, that fixing spikes 5 are formed with tapered surface 18 on the its opposite fixing surfaces 19. The ladder element 3 can be made from solid material with continuous design, but for the purpose of saving material and to reduce weight, it can be formed with bracing ribs 6 made of plastic by means of injection moulding. In the ladder element 3 produced this way the bracing ribs 6 at its bottom part will preferably ensure the sufficient mechanical load carrying capacity.
In case of a possible embodiment of joining element 2, it is made of a single body 7, in which body 7 two parallel cylindrical voids 8 are formed. At the ends of cylindrical voids 8 there are tapered surfaces 14 formed with slight reduction towards the cylindrical voids 8, which tapered surfaces 14 are connected to fixing rims 13 which slightly protrude from the body 7. From the fixing rims 13 the openings 23 of the fixing rims 13 are formed with the help of slide-in wedges 9 located at the ends of the fixing rims 13 in a way, that in this case the openings 23 are at the external lateral part of the joining element 2. The truncated rims 16 and the inclined rims 15 are formed at the part beneath the openings 23 and between the slide-in wedges 9.
In the given case the fixing rims 13 protruding slightly from the body 7 are formed with a tapered surface 20 because of the used production technology. Furthermore, the joining element 2 contains an anti-slide element 10, the protrusion 12 of which anti-slide element 10 is located between two parallel cylindrical voids 8 in the body 7, while its stabilizing part 11 is formed along the entire length and width at the bottom of the joining element 2. The anti-slide element 10 can be made in the given case from anti-slip material during the manufacture in the process of injection moulding. It is also possible to attach the anti-slide element 10 subsequently by fixing it to the bottom of the joining element 2, for instance by means of adhering.
In case of another possible embodiment of the joining element 2, the design of the joining element 2 is similar to the design mentioned above, but in this case the opening 23 of the fixing rim 13 of the joining element 2 is located towards the top part of joining element 2.
In case of a possible application of the solution according to the invention the sports equipment 1 is assembled in a way, that the ladder elements 3 are connected with the help of joining element 2 in a number of different shapes.
One possible process of connecting two ladder elements 3 during the assembling of the sports equipment 1 is as follows:
First fit one of the fixing recess 21 of the joining element 2 on one of the fixing spikes 5 of one of the connecting parts 4 of the ladder element 3 in a way that the fixing rim 13 of the joining element 2 seats on the fixing surface 19 of this fixing spike 5. Make sure during this process that the anti-slide element 10 of the joining element 2 and the lower part of the ladder element having bracing ribs 6 are aligned in the same direction. Then slide the fixing recess 21 belonging to the cylindrical void 8 of the same joining element 2, but located at the opposite side, on the fixing spike 5 formed on the opposite fixing surface 1 9 of the same connecting part 4. This latter operation is to be made by slightly pushing the joining element 2 in lateral direction, as a result of which the inclined rim 15 of the fixing recess 21 slides along the tapered surface 1 8 of the fixing spike 5, and the fixing spike 5 having a tapered surface 18 gets positioned in a circularly closed manner on the reducing tapered surface 14 above the truncated rim 16 and between the slide-in wedges 9. Then connect yet another ladder element 3 to the fixing recess 21 belonging to the other cylindrical void 8 of the same joining element 2 in a similar manner.
For the purpose of using, the sports equipment 1 , assembled as described above, is placed on the ground 17, and then the anti-slide elements 10 at the bottom of the joining element 2 will seat on the ground 17, and therefore they ensure a use without sliding.
The sports equipment 1 according to the invention plays an important role in terms of sport and education, and particularly in developing thinking and locomotion abilities, when the sports equipment 1 is joined such a way that, a 3 x 3 spatial lattice or matrix is shaped, and it is uses for the development of various skills.
In case of the sports equipment 1 according to the invention the length M of joining element 2 and length K of connecting part 4 of ladder element 3 should be selected in a way, that a certain play would be available at the connected joining element 2 and ladder element 3, so that the process of joining could just occur, but at the same time it should prevent the fixing spikes 5 from sliding out of the fixing recesses 21 during use. This play is K = M + 1-2 mm depending on the size.
The lateral edges 22, having lengths LI and L2, of the ladder elements 3 of the sports equipment 1 according to the invention, can be changed as required. The length dimensions LI and L2 may be different, in this case the ladder element 3 has a rectangular shape. Preferably L1=L2, meaning that the ladder element 3 has a square shape. The dimensions of the ladder elements 3 of the sports equipment 1 according to the invention in the given case:
LI = L2 : 40-50 cm, preferably 45 cm, S I = 1 cm, S2 = 2 cm, VI = 1 cm, V2 = 1 cm.
In case of the sports equipment 1 according to the invention the thickness P of joining element 2 is equal or close to thickness R2 of the ladder element 3 at the connecting part 4. Thickness P is 0.8-1.5 cm, while thickness Rl is 0.3-0.6 cm, and thickness R2 is equal or close to thickness P. The material of the joining element 2 and ladder element 3 of the sports equipment 1 according to the invention is injection moulded plastic.
The advantage of the solution according to the invention is that sports equipment can be assembled quickly and in a simply way, which can be varied easily in the plane and in three dimensions. List of references:
