Abstract

A phase separator (100) for an electrical machine includes a first end portion (120), a second end portion (140), and a midsection (160). The midsection (160) connects the first end portion (120) to the second end portion (140) such that the first end portion (120) opposes the second end portion (140). The midsection (160) is configured for fixing the phase separator (100) in the electrical machine for separating the adjacent phase windings (32, 34) from one another. The first and second end portions (120, 140) are for separating end turns of adjacent phase windings (32, 34) of an electrical machine.
