Additional manifestations include the following: nasal polyposis, pansinusitis, chronic diarrhea, pancreatitis, cirrhosis or other forms of hepatic dysfunction. Patients with cystic fibrosis may also have sinus disease: chloride ions cannot be excreted, sodium is excessively absorbed, and water passively follows.
