Definitions
- the invention relates to a moisture protection for moisture-proof wrapping of information sheets according to the preamble of claim 1. It is a moisture protection, which is used in particular for the protection of information sheets in the form of posters or posters and an insertion pocket, which protects against the information sheet Moisture has an insertion opening for insertion of at least one information sheet.
- the moisture protection has a transparent, front protective layer, behind the inserted into the insertion pocket information sheets are arranged with the front side to be presented after insertion, and a rear cover layer. Furthermore, the invention relates to a method for producing such a moisture protection.
- the present invention finds particular application in connection with so-called customer stoppers, poster frames or other advertising displays or other advertising displays application.
- customer stoppers poster frames or other advertising displays or other advertising displays application.
- any printed or otherwise designed sheet or any such plate or film is considered, which is to pass on a reproduced information to the viewer and should be protected against moisture in particular when presented outdoors.
- a moisture protection of the type mentioned is from the DE 20 2007 015 669 U1 known.
- the information sheets between a rear and a front foil layer are inserted so that it can be protected by the front, transparent film from moisture.
- the known moisture protection can protect the front side of the information sheet against splashing water, it has two fundamental disadvantages. On the one hand, moisture can penetrate laterally between the two layers. Furthermore, on the other hand, the moisture protection can not be used in conjunction with standard dimensions, since it protrudes laterally beyond the format of the information sheet. For this reason, the moisture protection is essentially only suitable for independently hanging pictures, for example in shop windows.
- the object of the invention is therefore to provide a moisture protection, which is usable at low production costs in conjunction with conventional frames and brackets and at the same time offers the best possible protection against moisture penetrating.
- Another object of the invention is to provide a method of making such moisture protection.
- the first object with respect to moisture protection is achieved according to the invention by a moisture protection according to claim 1.
- the front protective layer and the rear cover layer is made in particular cohesively connectable plastic, wherein the rear cover layer is folded at least at the two opposite side edges of the front protective layer with a connecting edge around the side edges and is connected to the front of the front protective layer with this ,
- this object is achieved by a method according to claim 10.
- the front protective layer is essentially a transparent cover which, like a glass of a picture frame, protects the front of the information sheet.
- the front protection layer when the invention is used in connection with advertising stands which have two unwound feet, each with a presentation frame, at an angle to the vertical direction, it is useful for the front protection layer to be made more stable. In this case, it can also absorb mechanical forces from manual action by persons, in the worst case even vandalism, or falling objects, such as hailstones.
- the front protective layer is then made of a comparatively thick material and covers, for example, the poster or the poster, where it is of course as transparent as possible to ensure a clear view of the information sheet.
- the information sheet should be encapsulated as securely as possible, so as moisture-tight as possible to be enveloped by the moisture protection.
- an adhesive connection could be provided.
- the particular aspect of the invention is the fact that it is possible to dispense with such a lateral adhesive bond, since this adhesive compound usually increases the width or height of the information sheet so much that the composite of moisture protection and information sheet no longer fits into commercially available frames.
- the frames commonly used in the trade are in fact adapted to the standard formats, so that there is no space left next to the information sheet.
- the information sheet which also typically has a standard size, would first have to be cut to make room for the edge. But this is not possible with many posters, without affecting the motive or even destroying it.
- the front protective layer is adapted in size to the standard format, ie to the extent of the information sheet. This means that the front protective layer and the information sheet are substantially the same size.
- the thin film, which then forms the rear cover layer, according to the invention is the, for example, a poster formed information sheet and the lying on it folded forward protective layer. Since the thin film is so thin that it does not appreciably increase the width or height of the overall package, the overall package thus formed can continue to be used in conjunction with standard size frames.
- the thin film is wrapped around the edge of the front protective layer and overlaps it, for example, by a few millimeters. In the region of this overlap, the thin film of the rear cover layer can then be welded to the upper side of the front protective layer.
- a thicker film as a front protective layer and a thin film as a rear cover layer has besides the application-specific choice of material thickness and the concomitant avoidance of unnecessarily thick films the advantage that the two layers can be welded easily. Since the folded edge of the rear cover layer is thin, a relatively short exposure time of a hot welding wire must be sufficient to connect this thin film with the ground. At the same time it is ensured by the thicker layer of material of the front protective layer, that this is not also completely melted, which avoids, for example, warping of the weld or seam by shrinkage stresses.
- the thickness of the front protective layer may be, for example, 0.200 mm or more, in particular 0.5 mm or even 1-2 mm.
- the back cover layer is preferably a thin film, which may have a thickness of up to 0.120 mm, which depends only on a certain tear resistance and the property of the moisture seal. Thus, thickness and choice of material interact here.
- a film which is more than twice as wide or as high as the front protective layer is used as the rear cover layer. This means that the information sheet and the front protective layer lying on it can be completely wrapped in the film.
- a substantially rectangular welding wire is then pressed onto the upper side of the package thus formed until, in the edge area, it has connected the foil to the front protective layer by melting the material.
- the central area is simultaneously severed by this welding technique, so that the film located above the front protective layer can then be removed and disposed of or otherwise used.
- the particular advantage of the invention consists in the fact that by joining the rear foil with the front protective layer, especially when welding or adhesive techniques are used, a moisture-proof bag shape can be created, which is adapted in its dimensions exactly to the standard dimensions of the poster is. This in turn means that the poster can be wrapped in its original size, without it no longer fit into the classic frame.
- an essential advantage of the invention is that almost no optical interference of the front side is created by the thin weld seam, which can be introduced, for example, by a glowing wire.
- a front-side laminated poster is used, the invention can also be used advantageously. If you were to laminate the poster on both sides, in turn, a wide margin would arise, the use of the poster in conjunction with the standard frames becomes impossible.
- a poster laminated on one side can now be used so that the upper laminate layer forms the front protective layer.
- the front laminated poster can then be placed on the foil, which later forms the rear cover layer. This is then, as described above, folded and connected to the edges of the laminate layer, in particular glued or welded.
- FIG. 1 an inventive advertising display 1 is shown. This is merely an example of application for the invention described below.
- the advertising display 1 consists of two legs, which are hinged together in the middle.
- the two legs have long outside extending and folding frame members that can be folded up or out, so that an information sheet 2, herein form a poster, inserted and fixed by folding back the frame members.
- the size of the pocket corresponds to the usual advertising posters 1 preferably the standard sizes
- DINA1, DIN A0 or DINAOO the paper industry, for example, DINA1, DIN A0 or DINAOO, of course, any other format can be considered.
- FIG. 1 displayed advertising display 1 shown usable arrangement of an information sheet 2 and a moisture protection according to the invention.
- the moisture protection consists of a rear cover layer 4 and a front protective layer 3. Between these two layers of the information sheet 2 is arranged, which is here designed as a poster. The edge portions are exaggerated here in order to better represent the individual features of the invention. In practice, the moisture protection will extend beyond the edge of the information sheet 2 only by a maximum of 1-2 mm. This is just one of the main advantages of the invention that the dimension of the information sheet 2 is not changed by the moisture protection and the commercial frame of the advertising displays 1 can be used despite the use of moisture protection and on the other hand, the information sheet 2 does not have to be previously curtailed.
- the rear cover layer 4 is folded over at the sides and in the lower edge region to the front and long the dashed line via a weld 5 with the front protective layer 3 is connected.
- This can be produced by two basic principles, either the back cover layer 3 has previously been dimensioned such that the envelope edge does not exceed a certain size or a certain amount of waste or residue is deliberately accepted.
- the weld 5 is preferably carried out so that the inwardly directed region of the rear cover layer 4 is separated as a result of welding, so that the weld 5 then forms the inner edge of the upper region of the rear cover layer 4.
- This separation by welding can also be used to completely cover first the front cover layer 3 to form the insertion pocket for the information sheet 2 with a film. Then, over a hot wire which is pressed onto the upper side, in the lateral and lower edge region, the foil of the rear cover layer 4 folded over the edge is welded to the material of the front protective layer 3 and the inner region is severed.
- the rear cover layer 4 projects beyond the front protective layer 3 and the information sheet 2 arranged behind it around a certain edge, which may for example have a height of 20-50 mm.
- This edge of the thin elastic material of the rear cover layer 4 can then, after the information sheet 2 has been inserted into the insertion pocket, be turned over and serve as a water-repellent tab.
- the insertion opening 6 formed by the open edge and the protruding tab can be arranged both above and below or even on the side of the moisture protection.
- the front protective layer 3 and the rear cover layer 4 are made of plastic.
- the front protective layer 3 to form a mechanical protection for the information sheet 2 has a greater thickness, for example, 0.200 mm or more.
- the impression of a high-quality cover in the manner of a glass surface can also be generated via this thickness of the material.
- the front protective layer 3 is at least in the area in which the information sheet 2 is arranged with the information to be transmitted, transparent, usually transparent. Depending on the information sheet 2, the edge region could be colored, but as a rule the information sheet 2 should be completely visible, so that the entire front protective layer 3 will be transparent.
- the back cover layer 4 does not necessarily have to be transparent or transparent. However, a transparent film will be preferred, since this is turned over by a few millimeters around the side edge and the lower edge, so that this Edge area on the front of the information sheet 2 will be seen. Although in most applications this peripheral area will be covered by frame elements, many users will appreciate that the entire information sheet 2 remains visible, giving the impression of a laminated information sheet 2.
- edge region is preferred, so that the same moisture protection can be used without a separate frame, for example, to attach a poster moisture proof on a display window.
- the front protective layer 3 or the rear cover layer 4 are made of a thermoplastic, in particular polyethylene, polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride, polyoxymethylene, polyamide, polyethylene terephthalate, polybutylene terephthalate, polymethyl methacrylate, polystyrene, polycarbonate, a mixture of these materials, a so-called polyblend.
- Both layers can be made of the same material or different materials, provided that these materials can be sufficiently welded.
- the material is preferably selected so that it is as kink-resistant and liquid-tight as possible.
- a thermoplastic elastomer may also be used.
- the weld 5 is best in FIG. 4 to recognize the detail "Z" of Figure 2 in an enlarged view.
- the elements used are shown schematically here.
- a weld 5 is provided, which is usually not formed by separate material, but is made by welding by melting one of the two plastic films or both films. This means that at least the material of the uppermost layer, in this case the folded-over edge of the rear cover layer 4, is melted and glued to the material of the underlying front protective layer 3 or, if this is likewise melted, also connected in a material or form-fitting manner.
- the moisture protection will initially be produced without the information sheet 2. It is of course also possible that alternatively the moisture protection is built around the information sheet 2 around, so that the package of front protective layer 3 and information sheet 2 is placed on the film of the rear cover layer 4, then this is then turned over, so that the welds. 5 can be attached to the edges.
- the insertion opening 6 shown in the figures is to be understood as an optional opening.
- this Edge can either also be done via a weld or an adhesive bond, for which purpose the back cover layer 4 or the front protective layer 3 may be provided at the respective junction with an adhesive strip, preferably peelable over a for the preparation of the adhesive bond by exposing the adhesive strip Protective strip is covered.

Description
The invention relates to a moisture protection for moisture-proof wrapping of information sheets according to the preamble of
The present invention finds particular application in connection with so-called customer stoppers, poster frames or other advertising displays or other advertising displays application. As an information sheet in the context of the present invention, any printed or otherwise designed sheet or any such plate or film is considered, which is to pass on a reproduced information to the viewer and should be protected against moisture in particular when presented outdoors.
This can be the case both in conjunction with a classic stand, in which two sides are folded at an angle to each other and at least one of the two sides has a frame-like holder for an information sheet. The invention But it can also be used with classic picture frames for attaching to a wall or for positioning on other stands. Ultimately, the invention is applicable wherever moisture-sensitive media in the form of printed posters, posters or other information carriers must be protected from moisture.
Although the known moisture protection can protect the front side of the information sheet against splashing water, it has two fundamental disadvantages.
The object of the invention is therefore to provide a moisture protection, which is usable at low production costs in conjunction with conventional frames and brackets and at the same time offers the best possible protection against moisture penetrating. Another object of the invention is to provide a method of making such moisture protection.
The first object with respect to moisture protection is achieved according to the invention by a moisture protection according to
According to the insertion pocket is now formed by a front protective layer and a rear cover layer. The front protective layer is essentially a transparent cover which, like a glass of a picture frame, protects the front of the information sheet.
In particular, when the invention is used in connection with advertising stands which have two unwound feet, each with a presentation frame, at an angle to the vertical direction, it is useful for the front protection layer to be made more stable. In this case, it can also absorb mechanical forces from manual action by persons, in the worst case even vandalism, or falling objects, such as hailstones. The front protective layer is then made of a comparatively thick material and covers, for example, the poster or the poster, where it is of course as transparent as possible to ensure a clear view of the information sheet.
Although it would be possible to provide a fairly stable rear cover layer, but this has the disadvantage that unnecessarily much material would be used because on the back of the mechanical protection is usually not the focus. In addition, the information sheet should be encapsulated as securely as possible, so as moisture-tight as possible to be enveloped by the moisture protection. However, this would require that the two layers, the front protective layer on the one hand and the rear cover layer on the other hand, protrude beyond the edge of the information sheet and are joined together in a liquid-tight manner. Here, for example, an adhesive connection could be provided.
The particular aspect of the invention, however, is the fact that it is possible to dispense with such a lateral adhesive bond, since this adhesive compound usually increases the width or height of the information sheet so much that the composite of moisture protection and information sheet no longer fits into commercially available frames. The frames commonly used in the trade are in fact adapted to the standard formats, so that there is no space left next to the information sheet. Thus, should an information sheet be protected against moisture in the above manner, the information sheet, which also typically has a standard size, would first have to be cut to make room for the edge. But this is not possible with many posters, without affecting the motive or even destroying it.
By means of the invention, it is now possible to use a thin rear cover layer, which substantially corresponds to a thin film. The front protective layer, in turn, is adapted in size to the standard format, ie to the extent of the information sheet. This means that the front protective layer and the information sheet are substantially the same size.
The thin film, which then forms the rear cover layer, according to the invention is the, for example, a poster formed information sheet and the lying on it folded forward protective layer. Since the thin film is so thin that it does not appreciably increase the width or height of the overall package, the overall package thus formed can continue to be used in conjunction with standard size frames.
The thin film is wrapped around the edge of the front protective layer and overlaps it, for example, by a few millimeters. In the region of this overlap, the thin film of the rear cover layer can then be welded to the upper side of the front protective layer.
The use of a thicker film as a front protective layer and a thin film as a rear cover layer has besides the application-specific choice of material thickness and the concomitant avoidance of unnecessarily thick films the advantage that the two layers can be welded easily.
Alternatively, of course, any other connection technique can be used, in particular, an adhesive bond can be provided. In all cases, the thickness of the front protective layer may be, for example, 0.200 mm or more, in particular 0.5 mm or even 1-2 mm. In contrast, the back cover layer is preferably a thin film, which may have a thickness of up to 0.120 mm, which depends only on a certain tear resistance and the property of the moisture seal. Thus, thickness and choice of material interact here.
In a particularly preferred embodiment of the invention, in particular with regard to the manufacturing method according to the invention, a film which is more than twice as wide or as high as the front protective layer is used as the rear cover layer. This means that the information sheet and the front protective layer lying on it can be completely wrapped in the film. By means of a corresponding tool, a substantially rectangular welding wire is then pressed onto the upper side of the package thus formed until, in the edge area, it has connected the foil to the front protective layer by melting the material. The central area is simultaneously severed by this welding technique, so that the film located above the front protective layer can then be removed and disposed of or otherwise used.
The particular advantage of the invention consists in the fact that by joining the rear foil with the front protective layer, especially when welding or adhesive techniques are used, a moisture-proof bag shape can be created, which is adapted in its dimensions exactly to the standard dimensions of the poster is. This in turn means that the poster can be wrapped in its original size, without it no longer fit into the classic frame.
Since most of the frames have side folding strips that are folded up to insert the image and subsequently folded down again while clamping the edge of the image, the connecting edge will later not be visible. Even if this is not the case, however, an essential advantage of the invention is that almost no optical interference of the front side is created by the thin weld seam, which can be introduced, for example, by a glowing wire.
If a front-side laminated poster is used, the invention can also be used advantageously. If you were to laminate the poster on both sides, in turn, a wide margin would arise, the use of the poster in conjunction with the standard frames becomes impossible. Preferably, a poster laminated on one side can now be used so that the upper laminate layer forms the front protective layer. The front laminated poster can then be placed on the foil, which later forms the rear cover layer. This is then, as described above, folded and connected to the edges of the laminate layer, in particular glued or welded.
Further features and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the subclaims and from the following description of preferred embodiments with reference to the drawings.

The

Rest in Kauf genommen. The
In all cases, the
In the upper area, here the
The front
The
Furthermore, of course, a transparent design of the edge region is preferred, so that the same moisture protection can be used without a separate frame, for example, to attach a poster moisture proof on a display window.
Preferably, the front
Ultimately, the choice of material is a question of manufacturing costs, the amount of which will in turn depend on how often the user wants to reuse the moisture protection. In the case of inexpensive disposable products, preference is given to using a simple thermoplastic material, but more elaborate materials are more likely to be used if the moisture protection is to be reused frequently.
In principle, a similar result could also be achieved with a modification, namely if the

In the exaggerated embodiment, a
Usually, the moisture protection will initially be produced without the
The
