Description

The invention relates to a headband for attachment to a headband of an interior trim assembly of a protective helmet.

A protective helmet and interior equipment for a protective helmet are from the documents DE 10 2010 027 012 A1 respectively. DE 10 2010 027 014 A1 , both of which date back to the assignee. As shown in enclosed Fig. 10 , which shows the interior equipment known from the latter document, a carrier basket 42 ', a headband 44' and a neck band 46 'together form a helmet shell fixable interior trim assembly 40' for supporting and holding a protective helmet on the head of a wearer. On the inside of the headband 44 ', ie on the side facing the forehead of a wearer, a headband 20' is evidently mounted on the headband 44 ', which, however, is not mentioned anywhere in the texts of the two abovementioned documents. The headband 20 'is dimensioned so long that it covers two joints 56' with its two free ends, via which the headband 44 'is in each case connected to a part of the neckband 46'. It is conceivable that the headband 20 'consists of a piece of padding material, as mentioned elsewhere in the documents in connection with the carrying basket 42' and a support tray. About the type of attachment of the headband 20 'on the headband 44' can be found in both documents no statement after the headband 20 'is not even mentioned there. But it is possible that the headband 20 'as usual by means of Velcro on the headband 44' is releasably attached. The inside of the headband 44 'adjacent the wearer's forehead is believed to be the most heavily sweated area of the trim assembly 40' because sweat is usually most pronounced on the head of a human forehead. If the headband 20 'is a padded piece of material as assumed, it will sweat with sweat which, with changing temperatures in the region of the headband 44', as the helmet is put on and off more often, can create the risk of sinusitis or other health impairment. High amount of sweat can also cause the holder of the headband 20 'fails prematurely, so that the headband 20' is lost and the helmet then bare headband 44 'must be worn.

From the JP 2004-270040 A is known a headband, which is attached to a headband of a helmet. An auxiliary strap of the helmet is covered with a sweat-wicking component.

From the US 3,685,055 is also known a headband, which is attached to a headband of a helmet.

The object of the invention is to eliminate starting from a headband of the type mentioned above, the problems outlined above.

The object is achieved by a headband having a strip-shaped carrier which is provided with a holder for releasably securing the headband to the headband and at least on a side facing away from the headband with a support of a sweat-absorbing material is covered or covered wherein the holder comprises on a on a on the headband engageable back of the carrier formed on the support tubular support tube, which are designed for non-positive or positive engagement in openings of the headband.

The headband according to the invention is not simply a cushioning piece of material or the like, as in the prior art, but has a strip-shaped support which is provided with a support of a sweat-absorbing material. As a result, the holder can be made largely independent of the sweat-absorbing material and in particular laid on one side of the wearer, which will not be exposed to welding. It is sufficient if the headband is covered at least on a side remote from the headband side with a support of a sweat-absorbing material. The attachment of the support to the support can be made unaffected by the support of the support on the headband itself and so that it is insoluble by welding action. The covered with a support of a sweat-absorbing material strip-shaped carrier is suitably provided with a holder which is designed so that while the carrier can be firmly connected to the headband, but easily from the headband also easy to solve again. This makes it possible to design the headband as a whole as a removable or replacement part that can be solved by the wearer of the helmet as needed and reconnected to the helmet, either to temporarily change a sweaty headband against a dry headband until it can be replaced again against a now-dried headband, or if it is to replace a worn headband with a spare headband. For this purpose, the headband can be kept as a spare part in stock and already given in a certain number a protective helmet at the sale become. About the support stub, the carrier in openings that are already present in the headband for a different purpose, namely, for example, as vents, are buttoned. To remove the headband from the headband, the wearer is simply unbuttoned again. Due to the non-positive or positive engagement of the support stub in openings of the headband, the holder allows easy clamping or a kind of locking connection of the support stub in openings of the carrier tape, which, as I said, there for other purposes may already be present.

Advantageous embodiments of the headband according to the invention form the subject of the dependent claims.

In one embodiment of the headband according to the invention, the support stub are each formed resiliently at their free end and each provided with at least one outwardly projecting locking lug. This allows in a simple manner the production of a latching connection of the aforementioned type. The support stubs will snap into corresponding openings in the headband itself due to their resiliently formed free ends, the openings in turn may already be present for other purposes.

In a further embodiment of the headband according to the invention, the carrier is provided between the locking stub with at least one air passage opening which can be brought into coincidence with one of the openings of the headband. Here can be achieved over this or any other purpose already existing openings in the headband despite the arranged between the forehead of the wearer of a helmet and the headband strip-shaped carrier sufficient ventilation of the forehead.

In a further embodiment of the headband according to the invention, the support comprises a textile blank. The material of the textile blank can be selected in the sense of an optimal Schweißaufsaugung.

In a further embodiment of the headband according to the invention, the support is dimensioned so that it can cover or cover the carrier on all sides. As a result, the sweat-absorbing capacity of the headband is considerably increased.

In a further embodiment of the headband according to the invention, the support has complementary wavy longitudinal edges whose wave crests are each provided with an opening for receiving one of the support stub. This simplifies the production of the headband, because the support need only be a suitably shaped textile blank, which requires no additional support for its attachment to the strip-shaped carrier. The textile blank need only be threaded in the region of its openings on the support stub. The complementary design of the corrugated longitudinal edges allows complete coverage of the back of the strip-shaped carrier with optimum mutual support and support of the corrugated longitudinal edges.

In a further embodiment of the headband according to the invention, the holder has at each end of the carrier two pins projecting into a recess of the carrier into for fixing the ends of the corrugated longitudinal edges of the support. This results in a simple mounting of the ends of the support on the carrier, without in addition to the carrier still fasteners are needed.

In a further embodiment of the headband according to the invention, the carrier is a flexible molded part made of plastic. The carrier may e.g. be produced as an injection molded part. Although the support of the carrier strip is expediently released when it is to be washed, the carrier is expediently produced from a material which makes it easy to wash the carrier together with the support.

Fig. 4 zeigt eine vollständige Abwicklung der Auflage 40 ohne den Träger 30.In Fig. 1 a headband according to the invention is shown in a plan view and indicated generally at 20. The headband 20 is intended for attachment to a headband of an interior trim assembly, as exemplified in FIG Fig. 10 is shown. In Fig. 10 is the interior trim assembly labeled 40 'and the headband 44'. The headband 20 includes a strip-shaped carrier 30. Fig. 5 shows as a detail the carrier 30 of the headband 20 in a plan view of the front side. Fig. 6 shows the carrier 30 in a rear view. The carrier 30 is provided with a holder 50 for releasably securing the headband 20 to a headband such as the headband 44 '. The carrier 30 is at least on its in Fig. 5 visible front 32 covered with a pad 40 of a sweat-absorbing material. In the embodiment of the headband 20 according to the invention shown in the drawings, however, the support 40 is dimensioned such that it covers the support 30 on all sides. This on all sides covered by the support 40 carrier 30 is in Fig. 1 in front view and in Fig. 2 shown in a rear view. In Fig. 3 the support 40 is shown half unwound from the carrier 30. Fig. 4 shows a complete development of the support 40 without the carrier 30th

The holder 50 comprises five tubular support stubs 51 a, 51 b, 51 c, 51 d and 51 e, which are integrally formed on a rear side 34 of the carrier 30, which is the engageable on the headband side of the carrier. In Fig. 8 , which is a partial longitudinal sectional view of the carrier 30 along the line VIII-VIII in Fig. 5 shows, and in Fig. 9 showing the carrier 30 in a cross-sectional view along the line IX-IX in FIG Fig. 5 shows that are the holder 50 forming tubular support stub 51a - 51e best to recognize. The support stub 51a - 51e are formed for positive or positive engagement in openings of the headband. In the case of the headband 20 shown here as an exemplary embodiment, the support stubs 51a-51e are designed for positive engagement in openings in the headband. For this purpose, the support stubs 51a-51e are resiliently formed respectively at their free end and each provided with at least one outwardly projecting latching lug 52 and 54. In the embodiment of the headband 20 shown here, each support stub 51 a - 51 e has two outwardly projecting latching lugs 52, 54. The tubular support stubs 51 a - 51 e are rectangular in cross section. The locking lugs 52, 54 are formed on the opposite longitudinal sides of the cross section of each support nozzle. The tubular support stubs 51a-51e have a height H, each dimensioned taking into account the thickness of the support 40 on the back 34, that when the support stubs are inserted in their complementary cross-section shaped openings in the headband to the stop, the carrier 30 so rests with the back 34 on the support 40 on the headband, the locking lugs 52, 54 of each support nozzle rest on the opposite side of the headband next to the corresponding opening. This engagement position of each support stub is detachable by pressing it with the fingers or with a tool until the detents 52, 54 come free from the front of the headband, so that the carrier 30 can be removed from the headband.

The carrier 30 is provided between each two of the support stub 51a-51e with an air passage opening 36a, 36b, 36c and 36d. Each of these air passage openings 36a - 36d is provided for reasons of stability with a central web, as shown in the Fig. 5-7 can be seen. Each of the air passage openings 36a-36d can be brought into coincidence with one of the openings of the headband.

The pad 40 comprises a textile blank, which in Fig. 4 shown in its entirety. In Fig. 4 It can also be seen that the support 40 has corrugated longitudinal edges 42a, 42b complementary to one another. Complementarily wavy means that each wave crest of the longitudinal edge 42a is opposite a wave trough of the longitudinal edge 42b and vice versa. Each wave crest is provided with an opening 44 for receiving one of the support stub 51 a - 51 e. Further, the pad 40 at each end adjacent to the longitudinal edges 42a, 42b has two holes 45a, 45b and 46a, 46b, respectively. The holder 50 has at each end of the carrier 30 two in a recess 38 a, 38 b of the carrier 30 projecting into mandrels 39a, 39b and 39c, 39d for fixing the ends of the corrugated longitudinal edges 42a, 42b of the support 40 on. For fixing, the pins 39a, 39b are inserted into the holes 46a, 46b and the pins 39c, 39d are inserted into the holes 45a, 45b of the support 40 as shown in FIG Fig. 2 can be seen, showing the fixation state.

To fix the pad 40 on the carrier 30, this is shown in FIG Fig. 3 with its longitudinal edge 42b buttoned to the support sleeve 51 b to 51 d. The mandrels 39b and 39d of the carrier 30 are received in the holes 46b and 45b, respectively. Subsequently, the pad 40 in an in Fig. 2 shown position in which the openings 44 are buttoned in the peaks of the longitudinal edge 42a to the support stub 51a, 51c and 51 d.

Finally, the mandrels 39a, 39c of the carrier 30 are inserted into the holes 46a and 45a, respectively, so that the support 40 in its in Fig. 2 shown position on the carrier 30 is fixed. In this state, the headband 20 can be put in the washing machine for cleaning. However, the support 40 can also be detached from the carrier 30 and as a separate part, as in Fig. 4 shown is to be put in the washing machine.

The pad 40 is made of a textile material which is pierced by a plurality of small openings to allow air to flow through the air passage openings 36a-36d. In addition, the textile material is chosen so that it has a good Schweißaufsaugfähigkeit.

The carrier 30 is a flexible molding made of plastic. This ensures that the carrier 30 can conform to the curvature of the headband and that the tubular support stubs 51a-51e are sufficiently resiliently flexible in themselves to allow engagement of the support stubs on the headband by means of the detents 52,54.
