Description

The invention relates to the field of home automation. In particular, it relates to a method of operating a remote control for controlling at least one home automation device. The invention also relates to a control receiving element, particularly an actuator, for home automation device of a home automation system. The invention also relates to such a remote control, such a command receiving element and a data medium containing software means for implementing the operating methods. Finally, the invention relates to a home automation system comprising such a remote control and / or such a command receiving element.

Home automation systems become relatively complex. In particular, they now include more and more components, including various sensors, in order to best meet the expectations of users. This complexity and the increase in the number of components can be sources of breakdown or malfunctions more or less severe.

For any breakdown and for any malfunction, whether light or severe, we note that it is necessary for an installer to go to the place of the home automation system to perform a diagnosis. Following this diagnosis, the user can either immediately make the necessary corrections to remedy the problems or, in the case of a more serious problem, schedule a new visit on site, in order to install, for example, replacement equipment. Note also that, in some home automation systems, a behavior of this home automation system can be felt by a user as defective while the installation can operate normally because the user does not perform the right actions to place the home. home automation system in a state that fully meets its needs or expectations.

Thus, we note that in all cases, a move of an installer is necessary. This consumes energy and has a significant cost. Therefore, in the event of minor malfunctions of a home automation system, some users may waive the costs of moving an installer to perform a diagnostic and a possible reconfiguration of the installation. The result is, in the end, an inconvenience for the user, the home automation station does not exactly meet its needs and expectations.

Alternatively, an installer, called to troubleshoot an installation, and not having access to information on past operations, may not have the means to diagnose the installation. In this case, it must operate by trial and error before being able to find where the cause of malfunction comes from. The time spent by the installer on the site is therefore significant.

The publication US 2011/0140864 partially solves the problems outlined above by the use of a portable diagnostic device.

The step of detecting a first action may comprise a detection of a reception of a first transmission request of the operating data, the first request being addressed by a diagnostic device.

The step of detecting a first action may include detecting a connection of the remote control to a diagnostic device.

The method may further include the following preliminary steps:
  • detecting a second action on the remote control, in particular the wired connection action of the remote control to at least one element of the home automation system,

Alternatively, the remote control is wiredly connected to the home automation devices it controls and the information transits bidirectionally on the connection cables.

The home automation system represented at figure 1 consists of four elements: two remote controls and two home automation devices.

The remote controls 2 and 5 are for example identical or similar.

The remote control 2 mainly comprises, as shown in Figures 1 and 2 , a communication element 21 including a transmitter 211 of signals, in particular of control commands, and a receiver 212 of signals, in particular of information, a logic processing unit 22 comprising in particular electronic components, such as a microprocessor, a memory 23, a human-machine interface 24, connected to a printed circuit (not shown) and possibly a connection plug to a diagnostic device 6. In a first embodiment of the remote control shown on the Figures 2 and 3 , a registered operating data transmission element 222 is connected to a connection plug or terminal block 25. The transmitter 311 makes it possible, for example, to transmit acknowledgment signals or other information to any other element of the home automation installation, in particular to a remote control 2. The transmitter and the receiver can also enable a communication carried on cables connected to the home automation device.

The command receiving element further comprises means for interpreting the received control commands in order to allow their execution by the home automation device.

The home automation devices 3 and 4 are identical or similar. In particular, the elements of the home automation device 4 that are identical or similar to elements of the domotic device 3, bear a numerical reference differing from the reference numeral of the elements of the home automation device 3 only by the first digit of the reference, this first digit "3" being replaced by a "4".

The remote control 2 comprises all the hardware and / or software elements making it possible to implement the operating method that is the subject of the invention, in particular a logic processing unit 22. In particular, certain elements may consist of computer program modules. . The hardware and / or software elements comprise an element 21 for receiving operating data from the home automation installation from the other elements of the home automation installation, a memory 23 for recording the received operating data and / or operating data. specific to the remote control, an element 221 for detecting a first action on the remote control and an element 222, 211 for transmitting the recorded operating data.

The command receiving element 32 comprises all the hardware and / or software elements making it possible to implement the operating method that is the subject of the invention. In particular, some elements may consist of computer program modules. The hardware and / or software elements comprise a memory 313 for recording operating data specific to the home automation device and a transmission element 311, to a remote control of the home automation system, recorded operating data.

The remote control 2 may in particular consist of a diagnostic tool. In this case, the executable commands that the communication element 21 is able to transmit to the at least one home automation device are not limited to movement control or movement stop orders of a mobile element. of the home automation device. They include, for example, parameter setting or information exchange commands.

Preferably, the executable commands that the communication element 21 is able to transmit to the at least one home automation device comprise movement control commands or stop motion of a mobile element of the home automation device, or more generally a control order of change of state of the home automation device.

In the case where the remote control is a diagnostic tool, the remote control may include a terminal block for connecting to a home automation device via a cable. The cable can be part of the diagnostic tool or plugged into it. Thus, the data for the diagnostic tool can pass to him via the cable. The cable may be a USB cable or any other cable with the appropriate connection means compatible with the terminal block. The terminal can indeed simply consist of points of contact on the printed circuit of the remote control. The home automation device also includes a terminal block for receiving or connecting the cable.

Un premier mode d'exécution d'un procédé de fonctionnement de l'installation selon l'invention est décrit ci-après en référence à la figure 4.A first embodiment of a method of operation of the installation according to the invention is described below with reference to the figure 4 .

In a first step 100, a control receiving element 31 of an actuator 32 of a home automation device 3 of the home automation system 1 records, in particular in a memory 313, operating data specific to the actuator 32, and more generally specific to the home automation device 3. Preferably, such a step is implemented at each command receiving element of the actuators of the home automation devices 3, 4, more generally at each element of the home automation system. Preferably, this recording takes place over time without any action from the user or the installer. The operating data is stored in one or more memories. For example, it is possible to manage these data in the memories according to a FIFO (First In, First Out) logic, so that when the memory is full, the data are erased. oldest data to free up space and store new data.

In a second step 110, the remote control 2 detects an action by the user or the installer. This action can consist of an action on the man-machine interface. If the action of the user or the installer means that the remote control must retrieve operating information relating to the entire home automation system or to certain elements of the home automation system, it sends, in a step 120, to other elements of the home automation system, a request for transmission of operating data.

The command receiving element that has received the request, in particular the different command receiving elements of the various elements of the home automation system having received the request, transmit or transmit, in a step 130, their recorded operating data, to Alternatively, the data transmission may be performed to a remote control different from that which sent the transmission request in step 120.

Upon receipt of the data at the remote control, in a step 140, the remote control records the received operating data. This record is for example made in a memory 23. As seen previously, one can for example manage these data in the memory according to a FIFO logic, so that when the memory is full, it erases the oldest data to release the data. space and store the new data. The operation data specific to the remote control itself are also stored in this memory.

In a variant, the remote control only records data related to its own operation, for example by only recording the data linked to control commands that it sends and to the acknowledgments in connection with these command orders. In this case, there is no step of recording these data at the home automation device, for a subsequent transfer to the remote control.

Elles sont donc uniquement rĂ©cupĂ©rables lors d'une dĂ©tection d'une requĂªte particulièreIn a step 150, the diagnostic device 6 transmits, to the remote control 2, a request for transmission of the operating data of the installation. Alternatively, the request for data transmission can be performed by an action on the remote control itself, for example through the human-machine interface. The remote control then transmits the data it has in memory. These data are retrieved by a diagnostic tool or displayed directly by the remote control. Indeed, this diagnostic information does not need to be visible in normal use of the remote control. They are therefore only recoverable during a detection of a particular request

In a step 160, the remote control detects such a request.

Accordingly, in a step 170, the remote control transmits or transmits, to the diagnostic device 6, the operating data stored in memory. Ideally, the transmission is done using the same physical media as for issuing control commands to the home automation devices, that is to say using the transmitter 221. Alternatively, separate physical means are provided.

In a step 180, the diagnostic device receives the operating data of the installation and signifies these operating data to the user or the installer who can thus become acquainted with it. For example, this meaning is via a display screen of the diagnostic device.

Steps 150 to 180 can be implemented while the remote control is no longer on the site of the home automation system, including an installer in the premises of a department after sales service. Thus, a user can bring the remote control or send it, so that a diagnosis is made. This diagnosis can then be performed without an installer or a maintenance or service agent having to move to the place of the home automation system.

Enfin, une fois le fichier arrivĂ©, il peut Ăªtre analysĂ©, puis un diagnostic peut Ăªtre posĂ©.Alternatively again, all the data can be retrieved from the remote control by the user using his telephone or any other computer or device as a diagnostic device. This data can be organized in a computer file at the level of the diagnostic device or at the level of the remote control. Then, the user can send the file on a data carrier or via the internet, in particular by electronic mail, to an installer or an after-sales service. Finally, once the file has arrived, it can be analyzed, then a diagnosis can be made.

Dans ce cas, l'Ă©tape 150 se trouve antĂ©rieure Ă  l'Ă©tape 110, l'Ă©tape 160 n'existe pas et l'Ă©tape 170 fait directement suite Ă  l'Ă©tape 140.As seen above, step 110 makes it possible to detect an action of a user on the remote control, in particular a mechanical action and / or an action on a human-machine interface of the remote control. However, additionally or alternatively, in step 110, the remote control can detect a reception of a request for transmission of the operating data, addressed by the diagnostic device. In this case, step 150 is prior to step 110, step 160 does not exist, and step 170 directly follows step 140.

Complementarily or alternatively again, in steps 150, 170 and 180, a step of transmitting the recorded operating data may comprise the transmission of the recorded data to the screen 26 of the man-machine interface of the remote control 2. This transmission of data is from the memory 23 of the remote control.

The method may comprise a step of erasing the operating data stored in memory 23, either on the action of the user or the installer, or automatically, especially automatically following step 170 of transmission of operating data.

The detection step 110 may be deleted. Indeed, the transmission of the recorded operating data can be triggered automatically, in particular automatically at a determined time interval, in particular following requests issued automatically or following each exchange linked to a new command order between the remote control and a home automation device. .

Steps 110 and 120 can be deleted. Indeed, the transmission of the recorded operating data can be triggered automatically, following a step of detection of an event by one or more elements of the installation. Such an event may be the reception of a transmission request message and / or a deadline of a timer and / or a memory state full or saturated and / or detection of malfunction by at least one element of the installation. The transmission of the recorded operating data can also be triggered automatically, in particular automatically at a determined time interval, the data transmission times being determined at the level of the elements of the installation sending the operating data. In the variant in which the remote control only records data related to its own operation, the steps 120 and 130 correspond to the transmission of an order and the reception by the remote control of a relative acknowledgment message. to this order.

The method may comprise a step of erasing the operating data stored in memory 313 and / or 413, either on the action of the user or the installer, or automatically, especially automatically following step 130 of data transmission. Operating.

A second embodiment of a method of operation of the installation according to the invention is described below with reference to the figure 5 . It applies in particular to a remote control type diagnostic tool. In this case, the diagnostic tool is not necessarily part of the installation or is part of it temporarily. It is not a permanent part of the installation.

In a first step 200, a control receiving element 31 of an actuator 32 of a home automation device 3 of the home automation system 1 records, in particular in a memory 313, operating data specific to the actuator 32, and more generally specific to the home automation device 3. Preferably, such a step is implemented at each actuator control receiving element, more generally at each element 2, 3, 4, 5 of the home automation system. Preferably, this recording takes place over time without any action from the user or the installer. The operating data is stored in one or more memories. For example, it is possible to manage these data in the memories according to a FIFO (First In, First Out) logic, equivalent to a data processing in the form of a queue. waiting time), so that when the memory is full, you erase the oldest data to free up space and store the new data.

In a second step 210, the remote control 2 detects an action by the user or the installer. This action can include an action on the human-machine interface of the remote control. This action can simply consist of a connection, in particular a wired connection, from the remote control to the control receiving element, more generally to a home automation device. If the action of the user or the installer means that the remote control has to retrieve operating information relating to the home automation device, it sends, in a step 220, to the home automation device, a request for transmission of operating data. .

The command receiving element which has received the request transmits or transmits, in a step 230, its recorded operating data to the remote control 2.

Comme vu précédemment, on peut par exemple gérer ces données dans la mémoire selon une logique FIFO.Upon receipt of the data at the remote control, in a step 240, the remote control records the received operating data. This record is for example made in a memory 23. As seen previously, one can for example manage these data in the memory according to a FIFO logic.

Steps 200 to 240 are preferably iterated over several or all elements of the installation.

In a step 250, the remote control detects an action, for example an action signifying a data transmission request. This action can be exercised by a user or an installer on the human-machine interface of the remote control.

Accordingly, in a step 260, the remote control transmits or transmits, to the human-machine interface, in particular to the screen of the man-machine interface of the remote control, the operating data stored in memory. So, the recorded data can finally be displayed on the display element of the remote control.

The implementation of this second embodiment of the method by a remote diagnostic tool type saves time for on-site diagnosis.

It allows, in certain cases, a three-step intervention: data retrieval on site, followed, during optional steps 270 and 280, with a subsequent analysis, followed by maintenance based on the diagnosis made.

The operating data of the installation can comprise all the operating data relating to several elements that are part of the installation.

The operating data can be organized in the form of a computer file, in particular a computer file containing readable strings of characters, such as a log file or log file, that is to say an event history file in sequentially recorded events affecting the home automation element or a set of domotic elements or the home automation system.

The order of enumeration of the steps does not necessarily correspond to the chronological order of execution of the steps in the methods according to the invention. The terms "first" and "second" have a distinctive meaning and not necessarily a chronological sense.
